Kai NRG Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Pushing the last minute thing as far as possible... (Thanks Z for the slack! I would have been done on Saturday, but internet was down so I had to pull an early Monday morning!) Mount up! Rhopalocera Lagargander (Giant Butterfly) I hope it's okay to include a link to more pictures on Flickr? As that's always been allowed in the past and hasn't been specifically prohibited this time I went ahead and did it... Quote

mccoyed Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I forgot about this challenge for a while. It's likely still being judged but is there a rough ETA on when we can expect a winner to be announced? Quote
ZCerberus Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 This was on my mind, but we had a shake up at my job IRL, so things have been on hold for a few weeks. The entries have been added to the judges score sheet- just waiting to get that underway. Quote
ZCerberus Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 The discussion is beginning shortly- a little announcement on the prize... one of your guild leaders is supplying a mount to the winner- the rare "Blue Taakin"- complete with rider to the winner! Quote
Hammerhand Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Cool, but... Am I the only one who doesn't know what a Taakin is?... Quote
Venkefedo Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 It's the governor of the Outer Rim territories and commander of the first Death Star, if you're from Boston Quote
ZCerberus Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 It's like a regular Taakin, but blue. Quote
ZCerberus Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 The taakin, often times referred to as the "wolf lizard", is a large lizard creature found in the mountain regions of Nocturnus. The taakin is a biped animal with excellent leaping abilities making it an ideal mount for use in the mountainous regions of Nocturnus and Mitgardia. Males taakins are distinguished from females by their slightly larger builds, extra horns on their heads and brighter coloration. All taakins are born green but change color as they age. Female taakins vary in color from black to brown while their male counterparts vary in color from green to purple. Both genders continue to have a green ring around their eyes in their birthing color. Here is an artist's interpretation of a blue taakin with a saddle but no rider. Quote
Venkefedo Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 I like the Taakin! Very "Legends Beast--Deluxe!" ...and suddenly makes me wanna see a brick-built Legends Beast-style Tauntaun, gigantic tho it'd likely be. Quote
LordDan Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) It's the governor of the Outer Rim territories and commander of the first Death Star, if you're from Boston Hahaha :) Edited November 4, 2014 by LordDan Quote
ZCerberus Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 Good news- we have narrowed down the entries to the top 3. We're duking it out now to determine a winner. Lots of other members got nods for having awesome entries but in the running for top spot: Emma Gabe Infernum I have determined the runners-up will also receive a small prize for their awesome work. Hammerhand Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Congrats guys! There were some totally awesome entries for this contest. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Not a surprising to see those three names as the finalists Interested to see the overall winner Quote
Infernum Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Excited to see my name on that list! Good luck to all the other "finalists", both of your entries were outstanding! Now, let's duke it out! Quote
Emma Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Fight! ...but be careful, we don't want anyone getting hurt . And congrats to Gabe and Infernum - both your griffin and dragon are really beautiful builds. Quote
