Berry Syedow Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 im wondering, is anyone going to try the original battle droid arms for the skeletons (in white of course) ???it's basically the same piece, except the old arm is bent slightly, and the clip is going the other way. i know wouldn't be optimal for holding weapons, but it would at least look shorter. have you tried this B ??? - BrickMiner This is a good idea if your skeleton needs to hold an object in a different manner. Unfortunately the newer skeletons can't hold a strait bar in both of their hands, can they? On a side note, nice army, Shakar. Do you plan to create a battle MOC in the near future? Same question for the Brickster. Quote

No, but that's a good idea. I'm not sure why Lego did not provide arms like this. They would have looked better than the straight arms. Nice army you've got there TheBrickster *y* . You practicly have all sets, don't you? @Shakar, nice avatar and sig :-P . Yes, I do now. I just picked up the Castle yesterday. I'll share some images soon. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 I have 20 bucks (not that much, the Catapult set costs 20), and the sets still aren't here yet (checked yesterday). I suppose that's a good thing, gives me more time to save up. Man, I need a job! :-P I'm pretty sure the catapult is only 10 euro, and 12 dollars. :-) Quote
iamded Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 (edited) Ah, but here we use New Zealand dollars. :-P I know, easy mistake. And it's not really a rip-off, 20 NZD is worth the same as 12 USD. I put the price of the Catapult set for money comparison. And Shakar, love the avatar and sig. I must update mine to the Castle line as well! :-D Also, that link just goes to show how great the Crossbow Attack set is. With only four sets, you can easily bolster your forces. :-D And lastly; LOL :-D Someone had to do it... Edited June 6, 2007 by iamded Quote
pellevin Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 @Shakar, nice avatar and sig :-P . Yours aint so bad either, mr KhoRne! Been listening to Amon Amarth's latest constantly ever since it's release.. ;-) Quote
Khorne Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Yours aint so bad either, mr KhoRne! Been listening to Amon Amarth's latest constantly ever since it's release.. ;-) Yeah, 'With Oden On Our Side' is certainly one of their better CDs. I think the lyrics are very good *y* . Quote

Shakar Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Actually, I've already seen those, thanks for the review. I meant pics of your expanded army... Shakar Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted June 9, 2007 Author Posted June 9, 2007 The latest images of the expanded army: I must say that in all my collecting of Lego over the years, this King's Army is among my favorites. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Nice armies! Could be a good war game! -ZotS Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 I'm truly impressed with the new knights. I really like the colors and the shields are superb (both the traditional and the newer larger shields). I'm still trying to figure out what I plan to do with all the soldiers. I've had an interest in building WW MOCs again and I've been juggling between the two themes over the past week or two. Quote
KAHUKA Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 (edited) I like the skeleton army. Edit B.: First post of The Brickster was completely quoted containing 9 images! Edited June 15, 2007 by bonaparte Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 15, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 15, 2007 The kings army looks great. Nice torso's with a lot of silver/gray, good color for the helmets. And those shields with the crown emblem remind me of the original castle sets. All we need it that chess-game and the real army building can start. Quote
Quarryman Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 I think both factions look great *wub* In fact, they look so great that I had to pick up 7091 and 7092 on my way home from work today ;-) Quote
iamded Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 The set boxes are actually a lot smaller than they used to be. I was quite surprised when I saw how small they were. Oh well, more sets can fit on the shelfs then! Quote
