Has anybody mentioned this set already? Looks like a pretty neat set!

LEGO-Classic-Spaceman-Minifigure-Free-Promo-Offer-LEGO-Stores-September-2014.jpg

It's on the September Calander and on the bricks and blocks website.

Yeah, I guess we should be talking about it here, eh?

Not sure what I'm going to buy to get this. Maybe another SSS?

I'm still bummed that this wasn't the August bonus, but I can certainly see how this works in Lego's favor. After the Exo Suit and RI this month, I don't think I can make a big enough order to get the Sept. bonus. White is probably my least favorite of the classic space colors, so at least missing it doesn't hurt as much as if it were another color.

Yes I got one last month

The booklet has some nice pics of old sets & minifigs, but there's lots of gaps, as per usual. And the character "dialogue" is pretty silly. Unnecessary in my opinion.

I need a "new" white to pilot the mech. The whites were almost always the ones driving the land vehicles...

I guess in September you'll be buying a Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! then, to score this figure for your Exo-Suit and using the SSS to MOC a proper salvage ship for Pete & Yve?

Hell, I need a new white space guy to complete Metalbeard's Hearty Crew! My white 'nauts from when i was a kid are a mess. The only other crewmate i needed was the female pirate. I must have spent 20 minutes today at the Lego store looking for the female minifig head with the eye patch. Thankfully, my kids provided adequate cover while I raided the bins. Lego win!

Quite possibly, yes! :)

Was there some kind of news I missed?

No that's the point we have seen news for a lot of other themes and nothing for space, so no space for at least the first half of the year.

So I guess there is no need for a 2015 page, no classic space for us.

And yet you cruelly posted to this thread, getting my hopes up.

I feel your pain though.

Yeah, very sad that space gets left out for 15. I hope that means we get something in 16. I still want the Galaxy Patrol theme!

No space, no castle and only 3 small Lego movie sets, I guess pirates and jurassic world are the new ones.

At least this year we had 2 sets to keep us going, with the lego movie it did seem like if Lego ever wanted to do a classic space reboot now was the time but as we have not got it I am not sure we ever will.

I'm hoping after the success of Benny and the Exo-Suit that Lego is scrambling to put together a wave of classic space sets, but they just haven't gotten it ready yet.

Posted

Are we sure there's nothing left to announce?

I guess no big deal if true. I'm still collecting the old CS sets after all... guess I'll just continue doing that until a CS reboot happens. :)

Has it been confirmed anywhere that the Exo Suit will become available again in Sep as stated earlier? Just wondering as it appears to be "sold out" on all of the S@H sites. The only thing keeping me hopeful is the "temporarily out of stock" note on the US and CAN S@H sites.

I don't know if you would consider this conclusive evidence or not, but I routinely check the Bricks and Pieces search engine on the US LEGO site and the green Classic Space torsos were back in stock last week after having been out of stock since the initial release. In the past my observation of this occurrence usually signified a new supply of parts from a fresh production run.

With GS just trickling off the shelves let's hope that they have something truly spectacular in development. Figure that Benny's SSS and the Exosuit reminds them that there is a market there. Not to mention GotG being the years highest grossing movie.

Thanks for the response. I wasn't paying too close attention to the release of that set and realized it was released until almost 3 weeks later. I'd live to get at regular price.

Strange how in the UK you only had to spend £25 to get it, but in the US you have to spend $99. It's a big price difference.

'cause people here are willing to go that high, inadvertently making it more difficult for those of us more poor because they show LEGO that there are people out there willing to buy at that price, so TLG won't lower the bar.....
