jorgeopesi Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Redesign has its surprises, always get more with less and less space. Quote
Meatman Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Paul, I know that you said in another thread that this model was using the new style worm gear for the doors, but is it also possible to convert to the old style since the new one has been discontinued? Or will it need redesigned? Quote
jantjeuh Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I've got plenty of white soft axles, so definitely looking to build this. Any parts list available? Quote
Paul Boratko Posted July 16, 2014 Author Posted July 16, 2014 Paul, I know that you said in another thread that this model was using the new style worm gear for the doors, but is it also possible to convert to the old style since the new one has been discontinued? Or will it need redesigned? No, it is a very simple switch out for the old worm gear... Yes Partlist were nice :) Goiing to get a white parts list compiled very soon... Quote
Paul Boratko Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 (edited) Now that we got the 42029 sets, I finally finished this Red variant(Was missing a 3 x 11 panel)... I really like the combination of the yellow wheels from the Volvo set with the red... I remember this combination used on the Dodge Viper back in the late 90's... Kronos Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Looks great in red! Can't wait for the instructions.... Quote
sm 01 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I like this version even more than a white one! Those yellow wheels really draws attention to it! I was wondering how they would look on a car, now I know - Spectacular! Quote
Meatman Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Man, that red/yellow combo is hot. I think I like it more than the White version. I see #3 connectors though. How many? Quote
jantjeuh Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Wow, I had no idea red #3 connectors are so rare nowadays. 5 euro a piece, that's ridiculous. Glad I've got a sizable collection of them ... Quote

Glad I've got a sizable collection of them ... Yes, the prices are crazy. I think this is largely due to the amount of them in Sheepo's Mustang. On the white model we have 19L flexible axles which are impossible to find and on the other model we have at least 8 that I count #3 connectors which are expensive. jantjeuh Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Yeah, I think there are too many people building all those cool cars Quote

Duky Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 i think, i will build the white version. Although they style with the yellow wheels looks great, i have no supercar in white on display. Quote
Blakbird Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Oh wow. So when can we expect instructions? Soon? Making good progress. A draft is in review now. Quote
TimH Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Another awesome build! Love those yellow rims on the red variant. Quote
Paul Boratko Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) Got a video done for the car.... Instructions are finally complete... Eric did an outstanding job... Eric also has some cool renders including a sweet cut-away showing the mechanics... LINK to a bigger picture of the Mechanical Render.... Edited August 30, 2014 by Paul Boratko Quote
MrTekneex Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 A fantastic video for an epic car! I think one day i'll build this beauty! Congrats Paul, also for your billiard skills! Quote
Theo van Vroenhoven Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I can confirm that it is really fun to build this new supercar! When I look at the video it might be an improvement to motorize the door mechanisms... And Paul, congratulations with the acknowledgement of being a Top Designer by Rebrickable ;-) http://rebrickable.com/designers Quote
