Hyler Talliwell Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Delirium, youngest of the Endless and sister of Dream. My second bust based on Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" series. I liked the light in the background, so didn't edit the photos much. Enjoy! Nick Wolfe Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Wow, this is marvelous! So is Dream. I hope you plan on doing all seven, I'd love to see them! Quote
Godtshep Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Excellent work. I love how the hair looks with all those 'tail' pieces! Quote
grum64 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 These are excellent and very imaginative. I'm glad I didn't see them before I went to bed... They're scary Quote

Legogal Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Wow! Outstandingly scary and brilliant use of weird pieces and color palette! Congrats! Quote
Zerobricks Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 These are really mental (in a good way). Were you under influence when you made those Quote

plew2000 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Wow this is very good! I also realy like the hair, and the eyes! This is my second post. Quote
Lyichir Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Yes! I'd been hoping you'd do this! In terms of critique, I'm not quite as fond of the facial sculpting on this one as I am with Dream's. There are some nice contours along the sides of the face but it quickly peters off once you reach the front, which is mostly a flat surface. And from my recollection, that's not quite consistent with many depictions of Delirium, who often seems to have fuller cheeks and a generally younger-looking face. The hair, however, is spot-on, along with all the little things living in it. The torso section is also great and I like how you did the eyes (which, being more realistic than Dream's, I can only imagine were much harder on this model). Are you planning any others? Death would obviously be a popular choice but I imagine her beautiful face would be even harder to depict adequately than Delirium's. Destiny would be interesting, and possibly one of the easiest, given how much of his face is covered by his hood. Whatever you do next, I can't wait to see it! Quote

I had some curved cheeks in there originally, but they made her look too much like a creepy doll so I removed them. I may rework the face a bit, as I am also not happy with the mouth, but keeping her to scale with Dream was my biggest priority. The whole face structure is a fragile mess of SNOT, but I agree that something should be done. Thanks for the comment, constructive criticism is always helpful :). Death is the last one I am considering doing, given popularity as you say, but yes, I am dreading the face, especially if I go for her eye tattoo. I actually think Destiny's hood would be very hard, as I would want it to contour and fall like real cloth would. Despair seems fun, Desire would be very hard as it must be attractive, and Destruction would just be a big red haired guy. Death seems most likely if I plan to continue, I'll just have to replenish my white curved slopes first. Edited July 7, 2014 by Hyler Talliwell Quote
