July 17, 201410 yr Is it too early to say Lord of the Rings? But seriously I would love to see the Black Falcons and Forestmen rebooted for the Castle line. The Crusaders not so much since the Lion Knights of the Kingdoms line already felt like a remake of that faction. Classic Space would be good to see again too, but I also wouldn't mine a "Greatest Hits" Space line featuring a mix of rebooted Blacktron, Ice Planet, Spyrius and M-Tron. I've always wondered why they dropped Indiana Jones so quickly, wasn't that one of their most successful lines? Wasn't one of the reasons to do with Lego picking up the Prince of Persia license and the two themes being deemed too similar to each other?
July 17, 201410 yr First and foremost I would like to see the Adventurers theme return. There are many interesting possibilities and locations that can be done. Huge fan of that archeology and adventure theme. Next Classic Space, with monorails. That would be amazing, something like the CMF Spaceman + Neo style designs, ships, bases, the works. Blacktron with the classic yellow/black color scheme would be my third choice. Honorable mention: Forestmen, Black Falcons, Vikings, Feudal Japan Ninjas, Aqua Raiders and Aquazone.
July 17, 201410 yr Hi, new member here. Well, I would choose Mars Mission, but I know that it will never come back. Second might be Classic space in an updated form? Not sure, because I came long after that, if you know what I mean (I love MM because I love all things mars and space tech. Whats ironic is that I only first noticed MM in 2012(!) ). Third would be Alpha team (I am too young to have played with that too). Edited July 17, 201410 yr by fossil1999
July 18, 201410 yr Classic space / futuron for me. The Castle line is good (and the last series already rebooted the KK-II series), Pirate has a good reboot few years ago, while I don't see nothing I really like about space long since.
July 18, 201410 yr If LEGO haven't given up Castle, I guess Forestmen is still a very feasible and possible choice in the future. My personal pick is Western. Is it too early to say Lord of the Rings? If licensed themes count, it has to be Avatar series. Adventurers My personal question is, if Adventurers is considered as an action theme, can it appeal kids as much as the current LEGO action themes do? I assume that new action themes seem to do more things with battles or powers, while Adventurers was based on some common movie plot elements. If TLG want to appeal kids, the newer storyline would need some significant changes. Or it may just stay as a Historic-Action theme that older FOLs would buy. Edited July 18, 201410 yr by Dorayaki
July 21, 201410 yr Id say the western theme. I have Gold City junction, a covered wagon ,and im getting Fort legoredo next week. It be nice if they could make a saloon, trading post, train station, and a few other thins to. I think there action themes now are kinda......welllll meant for ages 5-7 . back then they were pretty cool like the old pharaoh thing but PHARAOHS QUEST was stupid.
July 22, 201410 yr Yes Western sounds great... BUT next time without a license or movie tie in (if you count these Lego the Movie sets at Western themes) Vikings need a reboot, and has a thread for that already. But hey i got an better idea: Next time there is an interesting theme (other than ninjago and chima)TLC does not discountinue it immidiately. Instead they expand it with further waves. I am sure pirates (2009) monster fighters, pharaos quest and several other themes would have potential for more than one wave. How does that sound?
July 22, 201410 yr My two favorite themes (non-liscensed) are Studios and Monster Fighters, so I'd say those.
July 29, 201410 yr The Sports theme. I loved the basketball and soccer sets. Maybe they could make World Cup 2014 sets and more basketball :D I have the massive basketball stadium set for £10 on Ebay and use it most days.
July 29, 201410 yr First and foremost I would like to see the Adventurers theme return. There are many interesting possibilities and locations that can be done. Huge fan of that archeology and adventure theme. This is the theme I want to see return. It's the sets I always wanted as a child and still want as an adult. Have 3 of them so far and lost 1 over the years(that I can remember).
July 29, 201410 yr Personally i'd like to see the Castle theme to change into Heroica theme with different factions (maybe even Vikings can tag along). Otherwize i'd say some Mayan/Aztec kinda stuff
July 29, 201410 yr Bionicle! I kid. I would really like to see some new incarnation of Space Police in the distant future.
July 30, 201410 yr In my opinion, Harry Potter. I couldn't buy the sets when they were released and it's still a thing, especially with Pottermore and the attractions/lands in the Universal theme parks. And Western, because it's a very creative theme with lots of stories to tell and even in the LEGO Movie they were there.
August 17, 201410 yr I know this would never happen but I would love for lego to get away from the licensed themes (I know I know that's where they make their money) and reboot the following: Roboforce U.F.O Divers Any of the aqua zone themes Explorians Outback Islanders/Pirates
August 17, 201410 yr The sub-theme of Forestmen. Give me those Robin Hood themed d00ds but in a modern way. I'm usually not for westerns but I also feel like it right now. But I'm not sure how much selling power westerns could possibly have.
August 17, 201410 yr I would want a reboot of; Atlantis Monster Fighters Space Police Fantasy Era These are the ones I really want to see.
August 17, 201410 yr I think the Lord of the Rings should get a reboot. There are plenty of important events and minifigs that need to be made. And more Uruk Hai and Orc stuff!
August 17, 201410 yr I'd love a Studios reboot, that was the one theme that defined the early 2000's to me. I must have spent thousands off hours making stop motion films and building film sets for my minifigures.
August 17, 201410 yr In order of importance: Pirates (no skelies) Wild West Ninja (not spinjitsu). Maybe even have as a pirate faction.
August 17, 201410 yr Wild West. Looking at the LEGO Movie, there might be plans for that... Haven't seen those tall cowboy hats in any sets at all - has anybody else? Maybe it will be used in a future LEGO Movie set and then re-used in a new Western theme later on.
August 20, 201410 yr Author In order of importance: Pirates (no skelies) Wild West Ninja (not spinjitsu). Maybe even have as a pirate faction. Ninja pirates... you know, I could see that working out pretty well...
August 21, 201410 yr Forestmen. I loved them when I was a kid and with the new techniques and overall better design of sets of today I think it could be......awesome.
August 21, 201410 yr I think anything thats not based on a movie etc. Personally i find these remove the fun imagination aspect Lego, well compared to what i used to have as a kid. Original space themes, i always liked the Ice Planet, M:Tron, Blacktron, Space police etc Knights / Medieval Western
