Pharaoh's Quest was actually released back in 2011. I think five or so years is enough time for a valid reboot. : P

5 years already? *huh*

I guess I was thinking on Monster Fighters

Adventurers

Alpha Team

Rock Raiders

For Adventurers, we got an updated Johnny Thunder in 2014, and for Alpha Team, the Spy minifigure in the Collectible Minifigures series 16 is a remake of the old 2001 Dash figure,

so they haven't forgotten about any of those themes, if anything. They could even do an Alpha Team LEGO Movie if they want to - their own LEGO spy movie with their original spy characters.

I wouldn't mind Toy Story coming back, especially if they make the minifigures with regular heads like they did with the new Buzz. I liked that theme, but unfortunately I missed out on most of the sets. Hopefully it comes back with Toy Story 4.

I also loved Pirates of the Caribbean, but again, maybe with the sequel.

And of course, Middle-Earth. Never should have ended in the first place.

I'd like to see this rebooted:

- Racers

- Monorail

- Model Team

Racers was redone as Speed Champions. Just with the added name brands now. There was an article way back when, that the system and moulds for the monorail was actually quite expensive to make. It is doubtful they will do a remake based on the old sets. They could perhaps make a redesigned system.

Forestmen

Adventurers

Wolf Pack

Vikings

I would love to see the Forestmen, Wolf Pack, and Vikings. I missed out on the latter two as I was just hitting my dark age in the late 90's so I would greatly like to own some new ones. The general consensus is that Forestmen should make a come back. I have yet to not hear someone desire them. I really hope TLG is reading our consensus.

Toy Story like LotR was limited licensing. That is what happens with all toys based on movies. They are limited in scope and only beneficial while there is interest in the films. Superman was a perfect example. They made three sets based on it and that was that.

Racers was already doing name brands such as Ferrari and Lamborghini, using many different building styles including minifig playsets, brick-built scale models, and even Technic-based builds. Some sets had Pull-back motors or slammers, there were various racetrack and road layouts (particularly for Tiny Turbos) and there was also the super-desirable RC gear.

Some of these things are now offered in part through Creator Expert and Technic (Pull-backs, Ultimate), but Speed Champions isn't really filling the rest of the void - not that it ever promised to - but cripes I'd really like to see Tiny Turbos and the super-exaggerated Technic "Nitro series" type builds make a comeback in some form.

Oooh, I forgot monorail. That really needs to be done.

Yes, the ever-popular Steve theme definitely needs a reboot!

Of course. I need a theme all my own...

From all the themes mentioned in this thread, I only see Classic Castle, Classic Space and maybe MAYBE Adventurers getting a reboot

Not even licensed themes like Indiana Jones, Toy Story, Cars, and Pirates of the Caribbean returning when the next cinematic installments of those franchises are released?

Oh but those wouldn't be reboots.

Just sets based on the next film.

If you mean Man of Steel specifically, then yeah (well, even then not really, since there was that Jor-El polybag), but those are part of the larger DC Superheroes theme. Even within the realm of sets based specifically on that cinematic Superman, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is part of the same line, so the sets based on that movie should count, too.

Perhaps, but they would still mean relaunches of dormant LEGO themes. And they may include sets based on the earlier movies, just as each of those LEGO themes included sets based on the earlier movies the first time around and not just whatever then-current new installment made those themes happen.

Anyway, regardless of whether the term "reboot" is precisely suited or not, I thought the important point would be the return of an erstwhile theme, for whatever reason.

I would love to get an 2008 Agents reboot! Back when it was released, I wasn't into lego so the theme came and went. I mean, yes we got Ultra Agents, but I don't think it had the same feel the old Agents did. #bringbackagentstheme am I right?

I don't want a reboot as such, more like some sort of return to the general idea in the case of Adventurers. Maybe not Egypt again, as much as I love the setting and the archaeology, there are many other fascinating localities to explore. Cambodia, China and the old Silk Road have are amazing for their history.

I'd like a return of Adventurers as well, but if I had to pick one sub theme to bring back, it would be Amazon. Pharaoh's Quest was fairly recent, Jurassic World just came out last year, and I remember reading that Orient Expedition didn't sell very well, despite it being an excellent theme.

I feel so bad on missing on Monster Fighters.... Yeah it would be nice seeing those guys one day on some form.

Adventurers can go many way, I think people would go crazy for a lost japanese island or something of the likes.

Lego definitly has a ton of material can go back to, reboot or get inspiration from.

Alpha Team reboot,Adventurers,Atlantis,Power Miners,Space Police 4.

What are the odds that TLG would combine all those themes into one? Specialist Underwater Alpha Police Miners!

I'd definitely like to see the return of a western theme. We got some great Lone Ranger sets back in 2013, but some more generic western sets would certainly be appreciated.
