Norton74 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Hello folks, few weeks ago I presented my custom version of LEGO® set 10220 (VW T1 camper van), the “canvas pick-up” for road service. After having built it I decided to design and create the model that replaced it, the iconic VW T2, introduced in late 1967 and built in Germany until 1979. The T2 is also called Bay or Bay Window. The T2 has surely been the most loved van/pick-up by the surfers of all the world. So I placed two surfboards on the load compartment and I put close to it a classic LEGO® palm tree from pirates series. Here some pictures: Below: my T2 is in my garage for a check. Don't worry, the guys know where put their hands... Below: the the LEGO® T2 alongside the KOVAP T2. For more pictures, details and informations about my T2: flickr MOCpages VOLKSWAGEN T2 BAY - "SURFER PICK-UP" on LEGO IDEAS If you like my "surfer pick-up" vote it on LEGO IDEAS. With your support the T2 “surfer pick-up” can be made into an official set. It will be perfect on the shelf next to your VW T1 Camper Van and your Mini Cooper! You can make it happen, VOTE NOW! Thank you for your support! Norton74 Quote
Pat-Ard Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 WOW, and I thought it couldn't get better. Very nice. Now you have to build a VW 181 - perfect match... Pat Quote

anton1678 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 That's the best lego VW I've ever seen. Goes so well with the other ones you have built, and your garage. I don't know if this should be in the Technic forum or the Town forum, I can't even tell if it has any Technic parts in it, they are so well hidden Quote
jantjeuh Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Nicely designed! I don't know if this should be in the Technic forum or the Town forum, I can't even tell if it has any Technic parts in it, they are so well hidden I'd say it's Model Team so it belongs here. Quote
Norton74 Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 Thank you guys, and yes it's Model Team Quote
anton1678 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Nicely designed! I'd say it's Model Team so it belongs here. People post so little Model Team and Mindstorms on here that I forget this contains those two as well Quote
