I've actually got some extras of the orange parts. I'll post them to my Bricklink store tonight.

Jurgen's original model used 2x 11L white flex axles which are really rare. I think he changed the design to use only one. It also used 2x 3L green beams which only come in a EV3 expansion set so they are crazy rare. I changed mine to 4x 3L thin liftarms which are way easier to get and look the same. I think he made the same change in the instructions.

BTW: Juergen, ist there any functional disadvantage of the basic version?

Comparing the two rebrickable sets shows, that - apart from the colorsheme substitutions 7 universal joints 3L and 2 Technic Axle Pin 3L with Friction Ridges Lengthwise are used in the Deluxe but not in the basic one... has this any functional consequences?

No, there's no functional difference between the Deluxe and Basic version. There should be 7 3L universal joints in both models.

It's correct that the Basic version has 2 more Technic Axle Pin 3L with Friction Ridges Lengthwise. That's because the green 3x0.5 liftarms ar much less rare compared to the 3L liftarm thick.

Late edit: Seems the soft axle used on top is missing from the parts list? Looks to be a 12L soft axle based on the video, which are pretty available thanks to the 42025. Or is was that altered out at a later stage? Seems to be gone from the basic version too by the looks of the video.

The 2x 14L white flex-axle exist only in the Deluxe version. This is a very rare part, it was only used in the 8461 Williams F1. These parts were eliminated in the Basic version.

I don't see 3L green thick liftarms in the parts list for the DELUXE version? Same for the flex axles, by the way.

That's because the Deluxe version replaces the green 3L thick liftarms with green 3x0,5 liftarms.

Eh, I thought the Basic version was supposed to use 3x0,5 liftarms (because they're not rare) and the Deluxe version the 3x1 liftarms (these are very rare)? Now I'm confused :) It seems both use 3x0,5 liftarms in the instructions. Anyway, I don't mind, the 3x1 liftarms are impossible to obtain.

How the front wheels and the structure work with this great wheelbase and weight?, it is common to see trucks with bricks in this scale and I guess they are heavier but also more rigid.

The rare part I wanted to avoid was the 3L thick GREEN liftarm. It was originally used in the hood. So in the Deluxe version these greem liftarms were replaced with 3x0,5 green liftarms.

The Basic version has the 3L blue thick liftarms.

Since you have the instructions: look at pag 359 of the Deluxe version and pag 360 of the Basic version. Then you'll understand.

The chassis and suspension handle the weight pretty well. Of course a brick-built chassis is more stiff. But it's only noticable in the rear-end of the chassis, the part from where the cabin ends untill the rear bumper.

Ahh, duh. I forgot the Basic edition doesn't have any green parts. Anyway, thanks for avoiding the green 3L thick liftarm, even in the Deluxe version. It's just too rare, even rarer than 19L black soft axles it seems.

Jurgen, thank you very much for making this wonderful truck. Building it was fun, instructions are great and easy to read.

Due to lack of Xl motors I used two buggy motors. I also swapped the two shafts in the gearbox to produce required reduction.

Hello Jurgen,

Is it possible to incorperate all the lights you used into the instructions, I love the extra lights on top of the cab and sleeper.

I am a truckdrver from the Netherlands and would love to build a truck like this.

I have most of the PF parts, except a second XL motor.

I think I will put the PF Backhoe on hold for this.

I decided not to include the roof-pf-lights into the instructions, because it's an incledible amount of work and installing the extra lights is trivial. Just connect them to the extention-wire coming from the battery-box. The hardest thing is to fit all the extra wires inside the back of the cabin.

Email me at info@jurgenstechniccorner.com if you want me to send you pictures.
