Hey guys,

I'm developing my town at the moment, here's how it stands:

Town

I'm looking to create a railway overpass for the back, and need some ideas. For reference here's my town plan and a couple of ideas:

Plan

Idea #1

Idea #2

I like the second type of bridge better, and was looking to create it using Dark Green copies of these bricks, but unfortunately they've never made it in that colour. It's a shame, I had my heart set on them. :'-( I also looked at Brown, but as the bridge is gonna be right next to Cafe Corner there might be a bit too much brown in one place. Also, I was thinking of Dark Grey also, but LEGO has only made old Dark Grey versions. Anyone else got any other ideas? :-)

Cheers *y*

I once bought a lot of arches like this and the larger ones like this for the more classic looking viaduct. It won't even be necessary to put any panels on top. The cafe corner fits in the classical feeling

For an example, click here.

Your city is starting to grow nicely by the way, good luck!

I had thought about a classic style viaduct however I decided against it for a couple of reasons. Firstly, my "city corner" is going to be inner city, so I think a viaduct would be out of place. I'm looking for something more modern and less elaborate like in the pictures I posted. Cheers though. :-)

I so wish LEGO had released those panels in either dark green or new dark grey... :-(

Not sure if this helps but I discovered that the bridge section of the City construction low loader (Set 7900) is wide enough to take my 9v trains and I've used this to span larger distances, i.e. between tables. I had to raise the piece that connects the two sides together to allow sufficient clearance for the trains. You'd still need to find leg supports for it if you are raising it above ground level to suit the Cafe Corner environment.

For the support of this 7900 supports (this sentence sounds funny), you could use the pieces from the new airport (7894)...don't know how to name them...its 8 of the they are 2x2x10 and lokk like steel supports. Might look great.

If you look closely at the picture, you can see that there's already some of those supporting the bridge. :-)

I say go for the red version. I think it'll look cool and add a little more colour to Your city. Also I think it'll do well as a side colour for Cafe Corner.

Just my humble opinion.

Hmm, if it were me (being the simpleton I am) I would probably just use bricks to raise train tracks above ground, and add some sort of wall. :-/ :-P

Also, your town is looking good so far!
