D3K Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I think it looks pretty good visually , but the build could be improved. For instance, for me it looks like the front and rear axles are connected by, and pivoting around, one single axle in the longitudinal direction, without any other bracing? Also; I suppose it might be due to lack of the proper parts, but I think you'd get better results with an XL-motor with these wheels Quote
legomuppet9 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Also move the IR receiver, if you crash it into something, it could get damaged Nice aesthetics Quote

Plus it's a new axle so it grips better than usual As I said, this is mainly 8110 and 8043, and I have only got M motors, Unimog wheels and tiny wheels, so part is the issue Legomuppet: I for some reason consider myself bad with aesthetics, I don't know why, because that is always the best part of my model. The receiver sticks out far, but the wheels stick out farther. Quote
Lakop Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Intersting. You really need to get some L or XL motors How does it perform? H Quote
anton1678 Posted July 13, 2014 Author Posted July 13, 2014 Intersting. You really need to get some L or XL motors How does it perform? H Well, it starts off slow and not really able to go across any rough ground, but once it starts moving, it accelerates and can move over grass and carpet. It's only like this when lights and engine movement are turned on, otherwise, it's fast and powerful from the start I geared the steering up so it can return to centre when you switch it back with the RC remote. What are the best sets that contain the L or XL motors? Quote
legomuppet9 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 9398, or the new 42030 are your best bets Quote
anton1678 Posted July 13, 2014 Author Posted July 13, 2014 9398, or the new 42030 are your best bets Thanks, I didn't know what motors the Crawler used, but I already have 8043 so I don't need 42030 Quote
