SMC Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) Is this another set, we are missing some numbers like 60093 so could be store exclusive? And another one? Another new thing: Are these sets or mocs? This has a place for a hook on top so might go with another set like the plane. Edited February 12, 2015 by SMC Quote
L@go Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) Ok - asked around a bit, and the base/plane thing Is indeed the retailer exclusive. Features the base and the plane. Don't know about that last one that SMC asked about, if that's new I'll ask again tomorrow. Will also try to get a better shot of the torso tomorrow morning. Edited February 13, 2015 by L@go Quote
SMC Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Ok - asked the present LEGO designer about the plane and the base, and you're right: That's the retailer exclusive. Features the base and the plane. Don't know about that last one that SMC asked about, if that's new I'll ask again tomorrow. Will also try to get a better shot of the torso tomorrow morning. Thanks for finding out for us, not happy they are the same set as that plane looks poor so dont think I will bother but would have linked that base. Why do Lego keep make one big set with different things in when they could just make 2 sets? Quote
legonerd54321 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Is that a new nose piece for the sea plane? Quote
SMC Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 ^ Think it might be from the new space sets. Quote
scottwb2010 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Thanks for posting a link to your photo's from legoworld L@go. Someone who set up the display had a sense of humour by including a minifig from the Arctic theme with an ice cream at the coffee kiosk!!!! Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Yeah, I should also thank 'L@go' for being kind enough for uploading his photos of LW city layout. The copter on the back of the train appears to be in Octan colours.....perhaps deep sea diving might extend somewhere else deep sea next year involving Octan ? Quote
jonwil Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 The helicopter isn't in Octan colors, its got an orange stripe. Quote
vclarke Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 L@go could you please take some more close-up pics of the grey train with red/blue/White stripes?. Front and side shots please. I can save the trip from Jutland to Copenhagen then... Quote
Vorkosigan Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 The heavy haul train isn't what I hoped for, but it has some good elements. I don't have the yellow cargo train so I don't mind a similar engine in red. The hopper is cool, it would have been nice to see 2 hoppers so it tied together well with the backhoe. Another helicopter is the main downside. Actually if it was in octan colors and logos that would make it a bit more interesting, I don't know why they made it so close but not quite. I had hoped the train would be transporting some large structure that could be assembled, like a wind turbine or small bridge. Quote
danimarroquin Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Love the new sea plane ! Like the new front plane cockpit mold , it's the same from the space shuttle but in blue . Quote
jodawill Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I don't know whether this has been mentioned already, but we're getting a new shark head mold with printed eyes. http://imgur.com/a/GNCUf Quote
L@go Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 (edited) Added a few more pictures - a closeup of the Futuron torso, a snap of the new shark, some more of the subsea base, closeup pictures of two of the cars from the car dealership in the City Square and some general pics of the layout. And some detail shots of the new train. I also believe the LEGO delivery van driver has a new torso print. The train with the Metroliner colour scheme wasn't there now, my guess is it ran out of battery last night. Will probably be back later today, I'll see if I can get some detail shots then. But I repeat - that's just a MOC and not an upcoming set :) Edited February 13, 2015 by L@go Quote
blarghiflargh Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Thank you for the photos! That Futuron torso is...interesting. It has a slightly different design to the classic Futuron torso design. I wonder if that is because it's supposed to be a replica? I feel it might fuel fruitless speculation of a Futuron revival though... Quote
SMC Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I don't know whether this has been mentioned already, but we're getting a new shark head mold with printed eyes. http://imgur.com/a/GNCUf LEGO, SHARKS DONT HAVE EYEBROWS Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Aw, the second storey in the Lego shop is just two studs deep for those figures.......I'll still buy it. And is that a welding helmet in a brown container....... And sharks with eyebrows.......yeah, very real life.....meh. Quote
SMC Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 (edited) Disappointed with the deep sea line now, most of the big builds are not underwater at all the boat which I don't mind but a helicopter and plane when we don't really get a big sub and to get the base you have to buy the plane. The plane and the base really don't go together why not make a sub and base where the sub can dock as a play feature and at least then the 2 big builds in the set can interact with each other. Same with the big city set the buildings are not in the same style or related you get a small Lego shop and a big car showroom. Maybe its because I am more picky with what city sets I get than other themes but I don't like having to buy thing I don't want to get things I want, also big sets should be used to give us big things not just 2 small things. Imagine how good that underwater based could have been for the same price without the plane they could have even given it 4 walls so the water couldn't get in . Edited February 13, 2015 by SMC Quote
L@go Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 (edited) Yes, lightningtiger - the train set comes with a) a female worker with Gail's hairpiece/hard hat from the LEGO Movie CMFs - and b) a full welder kit (helmet/torch). Edited February 13, 2015 by L@go Quote
jonwil Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 So the train includes the following items? Red diesel locomotive Flatbed car with helicopter Brown hopper car Flatbed car with backhoe loader Crane with scoop on the end and blue cab body And what else? Quote
L@go Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 That's pretty much it, I think - apart from the female worker and the welder equipment. There's also a play feature at the base of the crane for unloading gravel (next to the sign in one of the pictures from today). Quote
jodawill Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 What set comes with the Futuron guy? Quote
eiker86 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I told Pierre the Designer that the fans want's a new gas station :) He will keep it in mind ;) IMG_8681 by Eiker86, on Flickr Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Yes, lightningtiger - the train set comes with a) a female worker with Gail's hairpiece/hard hat from the LEGO Movie CMFs - and b) a full welder kit (helmet/torch). Hmm, I wonder what the welding rig will look like ? So they are thinking about a gas station......about time I say (though I reversed engineered the LW one ). Quote
