M_slug357 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I think LEGO City needs a line of factory/industrial type buildings!! Where do the non-coffee/doctor/pizza/cosmonaut/store/fire/construction/police minifigs work @? I think this may be why there are so many criminals afoot in LEGO City... They must all be ex-technicians/students/laborers/engineers/teachers, and yet the City's economy is stable enough to send figs into the deep seas or deep space... But really though, where do all the automobiles come from? There's quite a few repair shops, but no factory... It'd be nice to see factories for: -cars -furniture -hats -pizza -tools -bricks -heroes (((((sorry, midnight ramblings))))) Quote

TLG has got to make a School, Tech Hub (which should be like Town Squares), and Auto Factory. Factories for Heroes?! Pizza?! Quote
K4kitty Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Does anyone think we'll be seeing a new airport/planes anytime soon? It's been a while since the last ones... Quote
jfbat Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Well, there's that swamp police water plane, but I'm guessing that's quite what you mean... ;) Quote
artcon Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Looking at the information card from this image, the City Space sets will be released in August and the space port will cost $120, which is steep considering it only has 586 pieces. Looks like the new molds and larger pieces are really driving up the price. Does seem odd as London toy far said it was £70 which would be $100 at the very most. I don't understand, the Shuttle Expedition was £81.99 / $99.99 and that was 1230 pieces. How can this price be right? Quote
Vorkosigan Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I don't understand, the Shuttle Expedition was £81.99 / $99.99 and that was 1230 pieces. How can this price be right? That shuttle had way more small pieces where this one has some very large pieces for the nose, boosters, and bay doors. Still does seem high I admit but I don't know that the size of this is much less than the Expedition from a quick pic comparison. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I do see what 'K4kitty' is getting at.......2006 and 2010 were the last airports and at Lego World each year in the city layout there is an overhead sign over a road section pointing towards an airport......maybe next year ? Anyway, such talk is a tad off topic. Quote
Zusammengebaut Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 'legomilk' posted this in the train forum....... If you look carefully you will see the copter is a TV news copter ! Though for the price we only get an old school spanner/screwdriver for the service centre not the new tool wheel.......hmm, And centre is spelt the American way.......not cool, Lego. Edit - found this on Brickset...... Question is what are those red hinge pieces doing there and what's with the one stud overhang on the car showroom near the flatbed breakdown truck ? The source isn't brickset. I took this picture for our website ukonio.de at the Toy Fair. All images are right here: http://ukonio.de/spielwarenmesse-neue-sets-lego-technic-ninjago-city-pressekonferenz-toy-fair-52204/ And as well you can find all the original footage on our Lego YouTube-Channel "Zusammengebaut". Some sites published our images - without our approval. And, of course: Without the source, as well. Quote
just2good Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) If you haven't been following the Juniors line up for this year, y'all really should. There's some more city based sets, and they look awesome. This one in particular is the Grocery Store Suitcase, and it really fits well with some City sets. Let's take a look! What an awesome set! It's only $20 USD, but you get SO MANY good pieces. If you're a sucker for LEGO food items, this has so many of them. There's some phenomenal prints in here- including an exclusive cereal box print, an awesome new face print, two new torso prints, the printed cat from the TLM CMFs/DO, and some printed signs. The build itself is probably one of the strongest from the Juniors line. It can fit in with LEGO City buildings, but it is a shame there's no walls on the side and no roof. Still, it looks good from the front. Edited March 3, 2015 by just2good Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Thanks 'j2g' for another video review.......I'm only interested in this pink case set for the printed parts ! Quote
Legoman123 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 It's a real shame we haven't got an updated Airport yet. Quote
zicdragon Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I'm waiting on a new airport series as well. Although I plan to MOC an airport terminal. Could always use more planes. =) Quote
Sven F Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 That Juniors grocery set is fantastic, I'll be buying that for the printed parts and all the food, can never have enough trans-clear windshields (since i have an ocd where i have to change out all the tinted ones) minifigs are cool, apart from that waffle plate, almost zero redundant parts. Quote
finnbricker Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 The Juniors supermarket is a really nice surprise – who would have guessed that the Juniors line will provide us with something that valuable? I got two suitcases only last weekend and I'm going to modularize the building into a 32x32 supermarket, probably borrowing some features from the original and adding details. The new torsos look great, too. Definitely something to recommend to all city fans! Quote
wooootles Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 The only complaint I have is I end up with a pink box and pay almost $0.20 USD/piece after taxes... Well, $0.20/very good unique pieces, anyways. Quote
just2good Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 It really is a gem! I have the beach set too, I'll be building it and reviewing it soon... it's pretty darn cute! The only complaint I have is I end up with a pink box and pay almost $0.20 USD/piece after taxes... Well, $0.20/very good unique pieces, anyways. Yeah, I'm guessing the price is going to the suitcase. It's actually a pretty great organization unit, just wish it had a neutral color. Quote
danimarroquin Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I'm waiting on a new airport series as well. Although I plan to MOC an airport terminal. Could always use more planes. =) Same here ! Hopefully lego brings a hole bunch of brand new planes , that look like the real ones . Not like that flop of the friends set ! Quote
K4kitty Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Wow - some awesome parts in the Juniors Supermarket! Quote
El Garfio Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 The supermarket suitcase rise some positions because is really more complete than I imagined. In the previous pics I have seen a facade over a 2 or 3 studs "base" but after seeing the video I have seen a lot of interesting elements. Last month I bought the red suitcase of the gas station for 18€. If I find this for a similar price or even for twenty and few sure I'll buy it. Quote
brickpreviews Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Havn't seen much discussions on the new construction/demolition sets released on March 1, are people not interested in those? Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Europe get them on January! :D So did Australia back in January. Quote
Zusammengebaut Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 In Germany, the Demolition Site (Set 60076) has been released at the beginning of 2015. This is my review of this very cool set. And last month, you've got the Demolition Driller (Set 30312) for free (Lego Store and online), if you've bought sets for 30 Euro (and more). Quote
