Posted July 14, 201410 yr Hi there I posted these photos to Flickr on Friday and meant to share them here too, but various things got in the way so now is my first chance to do so. Anyway, please let me introduce my version of a Roman trading ship of the sort common in the 1st and 2nd centuries AD. This is my first attempt at a nautical MOC and so I've gone for a relatively clean design. There are a few things I would perhaps like to have done differently, but in the end I spent so much time fiddling with it that it was beginning to look like a never ending project and so I thought I'd just go ahead and post it. I would now like to try my hand at bigger and more complex ships, so your C&C would be most welcome. Thanks for viewing, MW

July 20, 201410 yr Author Gorgeous ship. How did you do the sails? Is there an interior? Thanks. The sails are made of linen, treated with Artists' Acrylic and then cut to shape using the templates here on Eurobricks as a guide. No interior I’m afraid, my next ship will have one though! Great, clean look to this ship. The swan head is superb, and I like the elegant yet simple decoration. Thanks very much - simple and elegant is exactly what I was going for. this is an awsome ship :D Cheers, TechPriest!
July 21, 201410 yr Author Very nice. Reminds me of the ships Gabe built for Guilds of Historica. Thanks ZCerberus, I'll have to check that out. Templates for sails? Where?! :P Right here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10076 Enjoy!
