Omikron Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 (edited) Hi all! This is my entry topic for [MINI] contest. I hope photos are not too heavy. Enjoy. This is "White dream" cargo plane inspired by Antonov 225. This is Antonov 225 Let's begin the overview with front view: Side view: - Front cargo bay opened and plane is tilted to load the TGV train. This is how original does it: Train loaded: But wait, there's more! Lets load a diesel locomotive in the rear cargo bay! - Done! Captain? - Ok, load all remaining cargo and start the checks. - Close all the hatches, we're preparing to take-off! - All pre-flight checks are done except landing gear check. - Rear landing gear checked! - Front landing gear checked! - Ok, perform the turn. - Start all engines, we're about to take-off! Vooooooooooooooshhhhhhhhhhhhh (6x times), (simultaneously), ( and VERY LOUD) - Taking-OFF Flies towards the sunset. Why this topic is a WIP? The model including cargo contains 199 parts. However there is a second variant of cargo load. Which brings us to 200 parts. And combining this cargo gives us a nice stand. So I just can't decide which one to use. They both are cool. So I want to ask YOU! What do you like more? In the mean time I'm slowly putting all parts to make one picture for a complete set. Hope you like it! Edited July 14, 2014 by Omikron Quote
Rockbrick Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Needs a couple of clear bionicle eye pieces (41669) on either side of the front 'nose' 5L beam if you can spare the 3 pieces needed Quote
PhyBuilder Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Beside the engines and the fact that your MiniMoc is white; most of all, I like your cargo. Gotta love the Bugatti . Quote

Captainowie Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) Hmm, that electric tram looks an awful lot like that diesel locomotive! :-) Nice job with the TGV too. Anyone else think that the photo of the train being loaded onto the plane is the mechanized equivalent of a large snake eating a crocodile? Is the engine mechanism (I assume that's what the wheel on the back does) smooth? Those U-joints look like they're about at the limit of their useful angle. Well done nevertheless. grum64 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Nicely Done. Another great entry in the making. Quote

If you look closely - the tram has lots of windows on the sides, like here: The locomotive on the other hand is a bit taller and has almost no windows: However during the long shooting session the locomotive got tired and fell asleep on its side. The engines operate very smoothly, I spent some time to achieve that, this function is showed in the video Edited July 15, 2014 by Omikron Quote
D3K Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Love it! You really managed to caprute some of the unique lines and looks of the AN-225! Also, that F458 looks almost better than Brunojj1's! Quote
TheItalianBrick Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 ahaha love the Ferrari F458!!!!!!!    Quote
Black-Build Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Very nice! The Ferrari looks very realistic, but I think you could have done a better job on the Bugatti... Quote
PhyBuilder Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Very nice! The Ferrari looks very realistic, but I think you could have done a better job on the Bugatti... Disagree about the Bugatti. Look at the details! The great color uniformity! And most of all: the perfect symmetry of its sturdy design! Quote
Black-Build Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Are you going to post instructions for the Ferrari with all these positive comments? :D Quote
Omikron Posted July 16, 2014 Author Posted July 16, 2014 Are you going to post instructions for the Ferrari with all these positive comments? :D Here they are : Parts you need to build Ferrari 458: 1X: Technic 2L axle red 1X: Imagination 1X: Sense of humor. 1 step - take the Technic 2L axle red like this: Apply part №2 like this: Step 2: apply part №3 and enjoy your 458! Working hard on Bugatti Veyron instructions. Quote
Black-Build Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 After 3 Hours of building i finally got the 458! I'm very happy with how it turned out and I'm thinking about motorizing it. As for the Veyron, i might need to buy some extra parts for such a complex model! xD Quote
