Dan the Brickman Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Like it says in the topic description. You cant change the laws of physics! This leads me to believe we have a very strong pirate. I mean think about it, how could 1 man row hard enough to keep the small craft going fast enough to keep the troll on the waters surface?!??! I mean, look at its size! ... That, and yellow is SOOOO not his color. Should stay with green surfboards. It brings out the color of his eyes better... (Im NOT kidding, green goes with trolls, yellow is for skeletons or dwarfs! sheesh!)
Brickthing Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I'll just clarify that you're talking about the minifigs in the current summer theme header. Minifigs have been known to defy a lot of human limitations, so are capable of great feats of strength, speed, head rotation and stud adherence, and can survive dismemberment, customization, teething toddlers, pets and being encased in little glass cases for display. It's not surprising that this pirate can row that fast - especially since he's rowing for his life to escape!
Dan the Brickman Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 lol, yes the banner. I was making a joke really. Mayhaps I confused more people, and they didnt get it. I just thought it was a funny observation.
ridzis Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 I really wanted to post some pictures of my "friends'' what i made but do not know how to do it may be somebody could help?:)
LuxorV Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 As Vincent Kessels already linked you to the tutorials' index, I'll just add that you need to create an account on an external photo sharing site (like Brickshelf, Flickr, MOCpages and the like), store your images there and deeplink them in your topics. I'm sorry, but the Gallery is not available for members' use at this time. I'll also move this topic to the Website & Forums section, where it belongs.
thelostfett Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I would like to see mods people have done on existing sets (you know, the ones that were just calling out your name to get a minigun on its side )
KimT Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Then you shouldn't ask in the Website forum which is generally dedicated to the Website and not LEGO. I suggest that instead of asking for people to show their stuff in your topic, then have a look at the different Forums and check out their MOC indexes.
Zorro Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Wow...I COMPLETELY misunderstood the title of this topic!
Ratshot Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 For some reason my flickr account is acting up. The layout has completely changed making it look like this. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank You Ratshot
Rick Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 It's not loading the style sheet. It could be on the site's end or you have disabled style sheets somehow (unlikely). Now that you show the screen shot, I remember loading flickr once and it looked like that. A refresh (ctrl-F5) did the trick probably.
Eskallon Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Yeah that happens to me whenever I try to load a youtube video off my favourites. Try refreshing the page.
Ratshot Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 The refresh didn't work and its been doing this for a couple of days now. I'll have to contact Flickr
Brickdoctor Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 (edited) I do know Flickr did a style redo a few days (weeks?) ago; is it possible you've been switched to an HTML 5 page? (if Flickr even has one) I know YouTube has an HTML 5 alternative to Flash, and the only browser that's HTML 5-ready is Safari. That might explain why it works for me. (or at least as far as I can tell since I don't have an account ) EDIT: They do have an HTML 5 version of the site, used for viewing videos on the iPad. I really doubt you been switched to that, though. And anyways, if that was the problem, it occurs to me that you'd see little to nothing of the page. I'd agree that style sheets seem to be the problem. Edited August 11, 2010 by Brickdoctor
Ratshot Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I think it has to do with the cookies or cache as my Flickr works on other computers.
Ratshot Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Flickrs working again. I merely had to update to Windows Explorer 8. I also purchased a 1 year Flickr Pro account!
Captain M Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Are there official topics for misprints/mismolds? I have a mismold, and I searched for an official topic to see if anyone else had the same mismold I have, but the search only showed the specific keywords, not topic titles, so I can't find it.
prateek Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 There's a Bionicle and Star Wars topics. I'm sure there's one for general Lego too.
Legostein Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 Hello! I remember a BrickShelf gallery with several mismold pieces, which you can access here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=12182 Maybe this will give some idea of what types of mismold are common among newer pieces. Cheers, ~ Christopher
Captain M Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 Hello! I remember a BrickShelf gallery with several mismold pieces, which you can access here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=12182 Maybe this will give some idea of what types of mismold are common among newer pieces. Cheers, ~ Christopher Thank you for the gallery, but I couldn't find my mismold there. Does that mean my piece is 'rare'?
prateek Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 Here's a discussion about the Bionicle ones, and here's a topic for general pieces.
noname Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 (edited) When I replied to a topic, I clicked the little smiley icon to open the emoticon menu. Then, I clicked "Show All" (to see them all) and saw that the "thumbup" symbol ( ) appears twice: below the "thumbdown" symbol ( ) and above the "pir-tongue" symbol ( ). Did I already mention it's little, tiny, puny, unimportant problem? Edited September 12, 2010 by noname
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted September 12, 2010 Eurobricks Emperor Posted September 12, 2010 That's because those are in both the pirate set and the general set. Nothing can be changed about that.
