autorazr Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Ever heard of corsets? They were widely used in the time period and gave even "larger" women that hourglass figure. so a kids toy should contain depictions of outdated misogynistic practices? Women were objects then, that's why they had to wear corsets, nowadays only cosplayers and pornstars wear them. Quite honestly, you all need to clean the megablocks out yer ears and again need to stop putting words in my mouth. Klinton, aint nothing i find sexy about a toy, it aint on me. I also dont believe lego sells sex, I believe lego keeps up with the times in order to sell anything, everyone else is selling sex. So again, I have laid out an opinion for ya'll reasonably, and your responses are to make assumptions about me, and put it "on me" cause this is all because theres something weird about how I think. Ya know, equality, creativity what terrible terrible qualities. Quote

Hive Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) so a kids toy should contain depictions of outdated misogynistic practices? Funny you should mention it. You know who introduced corsets? Women did. Because women wanted to look that way. Either way, LEGO also depicts and, in a way, glorifies piracy, theft, violence and murder from the same time period. Yet what you, and others, single out as being dangerous and immoral is... depicting the female fashion of the day. Women were objects then, that's why they had to wear corsets, nowadays only cosplayers and pornstars wear them. I find that remark incredibly offensive and likewise absurdly ignorant. I know plenty of women who wear them, and none of them are (to be best of my knowledge) neither pornstars nor cosplayers. My girlfriend being one of them. Quite honestly, you all need to clean the megablocks out yer ears and again need to stop putting words in my mouth. And perhaps you could practice just writing one single post without needlessly offending anyone. Edited August 15, 2014 by Hive Quote
