It's not worth re-applying them since he can't be Jinxed, so yes. We also stop if at any point he ceases to be Blind. Quote
Kintobor Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) Will that round be re-rolled? No real need to, seeing as how the damage was dealt during the last to actions of the round. On second thought, I could reaccount Lind's roll as a Use potion on self.. I'll roll you guys up when I get the chance, which will probably be after lunch. Edited October 6, 2014 by Kintobor Quote

Flipz Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Revised Autoroll Battle Order: Anyone in danger of KO, in order of least health remaining to most (drinks Potion or Grand Potion depending on severity of injury) Hoke Guts Thormanil Alexandre Arthur Lind Quote
Flipz Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 OOC: I guess our plan isn't clear enough? Battle Order and Actions (Round 2): Lind drinks a Potion (Back Row) Alexandre drinks a Grand Potion (Front Row) Thormanil drinks a Grand Potion (Front Row) Hoke casts Frailty (Front Row) Guts drinks Grand Potion (Instant Items) Guts attacks Lupine (Front Row) Arthur attacks Lupine (melee, Front Row) All attacks: if Special Damage has already been rolled, use a healing item instead. Next Round: IF no one is in danger of a KO: BO and actions (Round 3): Hoke casts Frailty on Lupine (Front Row) Guts attacks Lupine (Front Row) Thormanil attacks Lupine (Front Row) Arthur attacks Lupine (Front Row) Alexandre attacks Lupine (Front Row) Lind attacks Lupine (Back Row) IF Hoke successfully Frails Lupine in Round 2 and is not in danger of a KO, he is moved to directly below Guts in the Battle Order and casts Ice at Lupine from the Front Row. IF anyone is in danger of being KO'd at the beginning of Round 3, move them to the top of the Battle Order and have them use a healing item. IF Special Damage is rolled in Round 3, all remaining attackers' actions change to use a healing item on themselves; if they do not have a healing item to use, they do nothing. IF Lind is in danger of KO, Guts will use Instant Items to use a Grand Potion on him, BEFORE Guts' attack (if any). Round 4: IF no one is in danger of a KO: BO and actions (Round 4): Hoke casts Frailty on Lupine (Front Row) Guts attacks Lupine (Front Row) Thormanil attacks Lupine (Front Row) Arthur attacks Lupine (Front Row) Alexandre attacks Lupine (Front Row) Lind attacks Lupine (Back Row) IF Hoke successfully Frails Lupine in Round 2 or 3 and is not in danger of a KO, he is moved to directly below Guts in the Battle Order and casts Ice at Lupine from the Front Row. OOC: To explain the strategy: IF people are injured and in danger of KO, they use a healing item (Potion, Grand Potion, etc.) instead of attacking. If they start off the Round already in danger of a KO, they get moved to the top of the Battle Order and use a healing item instead of attacking. After everyone is healed, Hoke casts Frailty (since that can't trigger a Special Damage), and then everyone remaining attacks; this gives the best possible window for dealing damage to Lupine. Do note that this only goes on as long as Lupine is still Blind and his passive Special has not triggered; thus, only up to three more Rounds need to be rolled under this plan. We'll re-strategize when we know what Lupine's new stats are. Quote

Flipz Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 No no, I'd gotten busy, and just finished with supper. I'll roll the round shortly. OOC: It's been ANOTHER 24 hours since this was posted, which itself was already quite some time after you had already promised to roll "when I get the chance". This is extremely frustrating, but before I say anything more allow me to share the rest of the party's thoughts: Can I just be blunt & call Kintobar out? Something like: Going to be blunt here. WE want an update. WE would like a consistent QM for the remainder of the quest. Before we do something like that, maybe we should all "sign it." E.g., post our own "I approved this" PM message, which MDM can quote. I really don't want to be rude, especially since Kintobar was nice in taking me along in the first place, even though I was only a level 1 player, but I have my own entire team for the Fields waiting for this quest to end, so that's an additional four people he's holding up. I really don't want to make them wait any more longer than absolutely necessary, especially since they've been waiting several days for me already as it is. Don't drag anyone else into it. Kinto clearly has run into unexpected/unforeseen circumstances that have prevented him from giving an adequate amount of attention to the quest. I don't begrudge him his real life obligations, but this has gone on for too long. We're at the final battle and, unless his triggered special is going to literally wipe the board with us beyond recovery (in which case it's a poorly designed special), then we're almost certain to come out on top. The only question at this point is, how much is it going to cost us? I really feel that this quest should have been called long ago. I understand the desire, by both parties, to see it through, but I think at this point we're just waiting to see how much we lost, what we may have missed, what mechanic may have been in place that we didn't search hard enough for but is going to cost us in the long run, etc. We're running on autopilot, we're detached, and we just want to be done. Kinto should save whatever mechanic he has up his sleeve for the second phase and reuse it somewhere else. Give us closure and let everyone move on. ^One reason why we're rather irate is because Kinto is playing Mafia. We fully understand the unforeseen circumstances angle, but he signed up for Cosplay Mafia while we were still inching our way through the quest a week or two ago. It's one thing to keep playing your own character in a quest, because the rest of the party is counting on you, but to sign up for something that requires a lot of time when you already have something you should be paying attention to... I didn't suggest call it and give us nothing, I said it -should- have been called long ago, and now, he should just cut the second phase, let us wipe Alfendi like we're inevitably going to, and just be done with it. Tally up our rewards vs our losses, and be done. OOC: My own thoughts: I super, super, super hate doing this in public, but it's become clear that me constantly badgering you via PM isn't working. I mostly agree with Swils, with one exception: I hate to say this, but if you're not up to finishing us out, then we need a guest QM to do so for you. We have been at this for nearly three months, waiting patiently for updates so we can finally earn our gold and reputation, and it's not fair to us that we now have to deal with even more delays thanks to Mafia. I really, really have tried to be fair to you, Kinto, especially since it's obvious there's some kind of IRL issues going on, but this is just too completely unfair to all of us players. Please. Do what you need to do, just please, end this state of endless limbo. Please. Quote
Kintobor Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Thank you for being honest. I'm looking over the battle order, and I notice you have Lind heal himself even though he can't, since he has no potions left. I will remove Kintobor Syndrome and simply roll until Alfendi is dead. If you can have Lind do another action, I'll wrap this up tonight. Quote

I mean, there's the Town Watch, but all they seem to be good at is talking...They're not even that regular at keeping people moving along, and that's their job... Quote
