Nightstalker Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Lukan had recently returned New Sol bringing news of Djun's absence. The news was startling, but it was the following report that the mages gave him that was worse. Something followed this expedition group to Historica, and it was full of magic potential. To make matters worse, it was in Nocturnus of all places. Trying to move patrols into the dark lands would not be such a good idea. With the civil war still going on, the last thing anyone wanted was to get caught in the crossfire. Lukan's solution was to equip to high ranking shinobi with the means to find this source. If they found the source then they would find Djun. The shinobi set off immediately, dispatching any patrols that stood in their way. Neither of them knew who was working for who; all they knew was a friend was missing. ----------------------------- Additional Pictures Hope you enjoyed the MOC. As usual C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!! Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Nice action, and I like how they're falling off the cliff! Quote
LordDan Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) I like the rock work and the overall build, mainly the way it focuses on the vertical part of the cliff. However i thought the pictures, especially of the guys falling, were confusing. It took me a while to figure them out Edited July 17, 2014 by LordDan Quote
mccoyed Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 This is awesome. You're one of the masters of small, Nightstalker. Always awesome to see more Eastern influences in GoH too! Quote
Scaevola Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 The rock is a little too sheer at the bottom, but excellent work with the minifig posing Quote
Gabe Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Looks like you have done yourself out of a bit of room at the top of the cliff, nightstalker. What you could have done was give it a bit of an overhang, this way you would have a few more studs to play with at the top. Still, the very narrow platform that the figs have to fight on does give the impression of a precarious ridge or mountain pass. I am a little confused about the second ninja-like figure in black - is he friend or foe to the Shinobi with the sai? Is he climbing up somehow (Wuxia style! ), or falling? Quote
Mike S Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Nice rockwork! Like others have commented, I too was confused a bit about the second ninja, but upon reading your story I figured it out. Ninja versus traditional foot soldier... I think the second to last pic clarifies this quite well. Quote

I think the second to last pic clarifies this quite well. Indeed the second ninja (the one is black) is a friend to the white one. He just so happens to be running up the mountain while his friend is kicking the soldier off. I knew I should have listened to my bro when he pointed out the very same thing. As for the ledge, I wanted to make it a very narrow platform rather than give overhang. Thanks everyone for any comments/criticisms. They are much appreciated! - Nick Quote
-Horizon- Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 (edited) Sorry to not comment on this earlier NS this build is great. The sharpness of the rocks make it look like a deep crevice. A really nice build form you, and can't wait for more builds. Edited July 22, 2014 by lego3364 Quote
soccerkid6 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Excellent rockwork, it really looks like a sheer cliff Great fig posing too Quote
