Posted July 17, 201410 yr Hi, I was just looking through an 'old' lego collection of mine, and I found a figure (series 6 mini-figure: Celtic warrior) which has a miss printed face. I was intrigued by this, enough to find this website and make an account. Could anyone tell me the rarity of this misprint and the possible value of it? There are some pictures that show a comparison of the normal figure, the picture on the collection check list, and the miss print. Thank you for your time. (the files are to big to upload so the imgur links will have to do) (the photo has missed a little bit of stubble on the miss prints face that is only on the left side) http://imgur.com/HLuegNy http://imgur.com/0xPVXUa http://imgur.com/7L9v6Y3
July 18, 201410 yr I will grant you I'm not an expert but how could anyone confirm that was a misprint as opposed to just having some of the ink rubbed away or removed by a cleaner like acetone?
July 18, 201410 yr It looks as though the head was missed by all of the orange ink. It's cool, but it's not going to be worth anything because, as BirdOPrey5 says, it's the same as if somebody just rubbed those parts off.
July 18, 201410 yr My friend had a Galaxy Trooper (or whoever the dark blue S7 guy is) with the orange face without the orange. Weird but cool.
July 18, 201410 yr That seems like an interesting misprint, but I don't see any market value for it over what the normal head would go for. I know there are collectors out there that like to collect misprints/rare parts, but this isn't anything special.
July 19, 201410 yr I agree. It's and odd misprint, but in my experience it doesn't end up being worth too much, if anything at all. Completely odd misprints can usually be worth something (I once saw a Lois Lane print printed on a reddish brown head by accident), but nothing like an area missing on the print.
July 19, 201410 yr I got one of the magazine foil packed Worriz figures recently and received 2 heads in the pack, one printed and one unprinted. Cool thing but probably completely worthless.
