Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 6, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 6, 2007 (edited) Sir Scott, I'm so happy to welcome you again on this forum! You were one of the first to supply our torso library with custom pirate torso's and I always hoped you would return. I really like your new designs and have added them in the library. Have you done any ship building lately? Edited June 6, 2007 by bonaparte Quote
Lamanda2 Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Oh, cool! I really like the surgeon and the cook, just because I like the way the food and blood 'sploches' look. That Diplomat is nice, too. Very detailed. *y* ~Amanda Quote
Asuka Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Very nice, especially that american frontier/colonial tracker and your crew cook! Kitchen pirates on! *sweet* Quote
SirScottLego Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 (edited) Thanks for the encouragements. I welcomed a new baby, moved my family to a neighboring state and took a new job. Needless to say I haven't had much time for my lego passion of late. Last work I was able to accomplish was a MOC of queen anne's revenge. See: Revenge Brickshelf Gallery At the same time I completed a Carribbean Governor's Mansion, which I never posted... maybe I'll get that on the board this weekend... I also have some adaptations to a couple of Morsana's torso's to fit well with the Horatio Hornblower series... This is getting too long... I'll just say, It's great to be back. Oh BTW, I changed my avatar and signature... this was a custom fig I did of dead jack awhile ago... Edited June 6, 2007 by bonaparte Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 6, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 6, 2007 (edited) Thanks for the encouragements. I welcomed a new baby, moved my family to a neighboring state and took a new job. Needless to say I haven't had much time for my lego passion of late. Those are some big changes. Congratulations with your baby! I always thought you lived in Germany. But now that you mention "neighboring state", I guess you mean a US state? At the same time I completed a Carribbean Governor's Mansion, which I never posted... maybe I'll get that on the board this weekend... That's funny, I'm also working on a Carribbean Governor's Mansion. It's actually a rebuild of one of the new creator sets. Here is the thread with some progress pictures: The Governors House. I'm curious to see what your version looks like. Edited June 6, 2007 by bonaparte Quote
Mosana Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Nice work on all these bodies. I would like very much to see these "Hornblower" designs you've made. Quote
SirScottLego Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 (edited) For what it's worth I thought you might like to see some of my custom POTC... I don't know if they warrant their own thread because I don't think POTC should hijack our creative minds, but thought you might like none-the-less... Governor Mister Phes Posted June 6, 2007 Governor Posted June 6, 2007 Thanks be to Lamanda2 and Mosana for providing the inspiration. In true pirate style I stole ideas and refitted for me own purposes. It seems you torso builders have prompted a big change for the Pirate Forum - so stay tuned... Quote
Capn Frank Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) ...Last work I was able to accomplish was a MOC of queen anne's revenge. See: Revenge Brickshelf Gallery ... I see B has already got this ship in the Index of MOC ships. It's 16-B. Sir Scott, Have you made a thread about the Queen Anne's? You really should if there isn't already a thread :-$ The Queen Anne's is my favorite pirate ship. BTW Sir, I edited your link on your last post so ppl know what they're clicking to. SirScottLego Posted June 7, 2007 Author Posted June 7, 2007 Sir Scott, Have you made a thread about the Queen Anne's? You really should if there isn't already a thread The Queen Anne's is my favorite pirate ship. Phred, Thanks for the edits. I posted my version of Queen Anne's in the following thread back in October. http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...c=6427&hl=Queen This was such a fun MOC because all the research I had suggested the ship had a partial second deck. I really opend the ship up for "playability" too. There is also quite a bit of research out there about the team that found the ship and is restoring it... nice google sometime. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 8, 2007 Governor Posted June 8, 2007 What's that brown stuff on the apron? X-D Quote
Izzy Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Those are some big changes. Congratulations with your baby!I always thought you lived in Germany. But now that you mention "neighboring state", I guess you mean a US state? Australia also has states.... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 8, 2007 Governor Posted June 8, 2007 And terrorities too... Then some brianiac said "Hey we can put them on a flag and repsent them as stars" - like that hadn't been done before with the Star Spangled Banner... But nevermind that. Which state did you move your family to Sir Scott? Quote
El Bucanero Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 The surgeon is a very nice adition to my crew mate! Thanks! Good job, once again. Mr Tiber Quote
SirScottLego Posted June 8, 2007 Author Posted June 8, 2007 (edited) Mr. Tiber you beat me to the punch, but your moc looks great! Just BTW, I'll keep you all guessing... I'm in the Western U.S. in a land locked state... can't give away too much or you might find all my buried treasure! Side note: I wouldn't bag on Australia, after all one could argue it was settled by Pirates! Or former pirates who were caught and not killed, okay maybe just prisioners who were caught in English cities who never saw the sea, or... Never mind, but Australia did host a nice Olympics... Edited June 8, 2007 by SirScottLego Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted June 8, 2007 Governor Posted June 8, 2007 I wasn't bagging Australia - I was bagging those responsible for the Australian flag. Yes it was more likely prisioners who were caught anywhere in the United Kingdom who never saw the sea, but some really did escape and become Pirates... I'm not making that up either... Quote
ZCerberus Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Okay first of of all several countries have "States", it is just that the United States actually uses the word states in its name! Mr. Tiber, you COULD have been correct when you said you thought he was German as Germany does indeed have "states". Land-lock states in the west doesn't give TOO much information indeed, as there are only three "Western" states that border the ocean, and if you consider Texas a western states, then one that borders the gulf of Mexico! This still leaves Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona if we don't consider anything east of Texas a western states. Then again if your measure stick is the Mississippi River then we have a dozen more states to add to the list! (If your from Iowa or North Dakota, I apologize :-D ) Anyhow, onto the MOCs, these are good torso! Mosana has inspired another! I may also have to use the Surgeon or cook torso as it looks quite excellent (though I will need to fix my computer that is attached to the printer first :'-( ) Which pirate sailed with the Queen Anne's Revenge? Was it Teach? Was it Roberts? I thought it was Teach for some reason. Anyhow, I never really knew much about that ship itself, other than that I thought it was rather large for a pirate vessel, so it is interesting that you did some research! If you get some more torso, make sure to keep posting and sharing! Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 9, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 9, 2007 Mr. Tiber, you COULD have been correct when you said you thought he was German as Germany does indeed have "states". That would be me, not Mr. Tiber. Anyway, the reason I thought Sir Scott was German, is because of the name of his brickshelf library. Quote
Norrington Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Teach sailed with Queen Anne's Revenge. It was originaly a French merchant named The Concorde, but he captured it, cut down the forcastle to make more room for guns, and made it a 44 gun frigate. Quote
El Bucanero Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 That would be me, not Mr. Tiber.Anyway, the reason I thought Sir Scott was German, is because of the name of his brickshelf library. And now when Mr Z is calling me MR Tiber he is reffering to someone else!!! :-D Anyway that's the same what I thought, Mr Bonaparte. But perhaps his name's only German and he lives in America... I've recently had a history class about the Germans in America.. Well, actually about immigrants in the US, but the Germans also came to the US... Mr Tiber Quote
Piranha Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Very nice decals indeed *sweet* I was wondering, if it wouldn't be too much trouble Could you show us the decals used on the custom Jack in your sig? Thankz Piranha (very nice QAV too) Quote
