Fritzy Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 No one want the Western Town? I do! I'd be happy with anything Western-themed (the chase sequence with the pigs would be a comical choice) as an extension of the Getaway Glider set. I wonder what the likelihood is of a set based on Cloud Cuckoo Land's destruction, as that might bode well for an appearance from Green Lantern (!) or Wonder Woman. Failing that, the Submarine would be stellar. I too am looking forward to having Emmet's apartment represented in some fashion. I'm not sure if they'd go full-on modular (I'm more inclined to think it'd be a small scene), but that would be crazy if they did. In any case, I'm thrilled to learn there's a third wave in the works! Quote
lowbike1 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Even MORE exclusives?? ...please kill me. that's a little extreme don't you think? Quote
TheLegoDr Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 I'd love that Unikitty. Those head prints are awesome. Naturally it will go for a great deal of money. The set looks blah. But I'll pick it up for angry kitty. Granted, I do like the other one more. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 that's a little extreme don't you think? I was joking of course The exclusives this year do get on my nerves though - I could stomach the previous exclusives since those minifigs were not based on their movie counterparts for the most part (*cough* Green Lantern *cough*), but this year, almost all of them are related to movies Not being able to obtain the new (and awesome) version of Uni-kitty is particularly annoying since I wanted to collect all of them Quote

Lyichir Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 I believe that that is the ship that Benny partially builds the first two times. No, I'm fairly sure he starts the same build all three times. It's significantly larger than the ship in that poster. Quote

PenPlays Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) I believe that that is the ship that Benny partially builds the first two times. Having built the SSS, I can confirm that Benny builds the actual Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP set in every single scene he attempts to build. He starts from the cockpit every time, which also happens to be the first part you build in the instructions. I would love to see more Neo Classic Space stuff with Benny. Preferably a 2 in 1 (from space-base to spaceship, anyone?), but I can go either way. Edited July 19, 2014 by Penkid11 Quote
Takanuinuva Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) Batman has his grapple gun from the movie. Does this mean that this piece will finally be molded in black. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=85861 Edited July 19, 2014 by Takanuinuva Quote
Colossus Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 CS or GS or some line needs to put out a damn space base already. I was lucky enough to find my old CS Lego tucked away in my parents' basement to piece the old set together. It's complete with trans yellow plates and the 6x6 square blue brick with the monitor screen print on it. However, it would be nice to have an updated CS base. I've been dismantling sets to make space, and I've noticed that I have hardly any blue bricks. Almost everything is light or dark grey and black. Great if I'm Batman, lousy for Benny builds, so to speak. Bricklink, here I come! Quote

A 2 in 1 is a great idea that I would support 100%. All of the 2 in 1 sets come with citizen mini figures, and the most logical citizen would be a 'normal' classic space figure. I would love 1 normal fig, benny, a 2 in 1 spaceship/base, and a robot or micromanager. There is a small space base that appears briefly in the movie, but it looks a bit too dated in design to pass for a current set. Now all of this is probably wishful thinking, but the popularity of benny gives me a bit of hope. Quote

The small space base IS an actual set from the '80s, but you're right that we're unlikely to see it redesigned or rereleased. Quote
Piranha Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 That is a interesting set, wonder if more are going to be released. Anything Cloud Cuckoo Land, Western or the Batwing would be nice. Quote
BlueberryWaffles Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Maybe they could make a set like Benny's Spaceship except replace the spaceship with the Batwing and the Octan fighter with Bad Cop's car as a baby carriage. Minifigs would be Batman (new TLM style expression?), Emmet, Wyldstyle, Vitruvius, and Bad Cop. Probably over $100. Also I could see a $20 set with Larry's coffee plane and a Micro Manager, maybe the little boy with two tiles also. Larry could have a grinning face because I don't think they'll copy the CMF version. Quote
KCMatze Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I have so many Emmetts... I could certainly stand to see a couple more sets where he's not included. Emmet is the hero...like Batman and Spidey in their sets. You hardly find some without them. Sooo... I guess there will be more of him for sure. I'd like a smaller set with Benny, though. The Spaceship (Spacesh.....and so on) is too expensive for me as I am not really into Space. My old space sets were sold by my parents (and yeah, I was ultra-mad at my mother) and so I am not going for that again. Ever. Too bad memories now. Quote
BFN Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I just hope we're mostly done with the micro-managers. The concept is neat, and the one from Creative Ambush had some nice parts, but they're getting repetitive. Quote
Aanchir Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 One new "variant fig" who would be cool to see is Robo-Wyldstyle! She MIGHT require a new mold, if they wanted to be totally accurate to her disguise and include the hard hat with her hair poking out. But it'd still be a cool fig to have, since they already did a Robo-Emmet. Also, it'd be great if we got some figs who were identical to the existing figs but with different expressions. The character who probably needs this the most is probably President Business. He smiles a lot in the movie, yet neither of the existing variants has a smiling expression of any kind — not even an evil grin. Wyldstyle could also benefit from some alternate expressions. Quote
Agent Fusion Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Agreed. In the Official Guide, President Business is almost always shown smiling. Quote
K-Nut Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 President Business could definitely use a new face, as could Wildstyle. I don't really know if there's anyone else who could use a new face, though (besides Batman), seeing as we already have a ton of faces for Emmett (how many are there now?) and neither Vitruvius nor Benny changes their expressions that much. Emmet's helmet can be used in future City cosntruction sets since it covers Emmet's most imortant physical trait (the little spikes). Gail's one is similiar those riding helmets from Friends (which covered the heroines' original looks) so it can be for more generic women. The only chance for Wyldstyle's helmet is that her hairstyle would be used on more generic girls.I was actually alittle surprised with the one in black hood, but not sure if it can be reused for other characters. Business' smile face worthes much more than those SDCC exclusives, seriously. Edited July 20, 2014 by Dorayaki Quote
SMC Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I wound not mind if robot wyldstyle didn't have hair, western emmet didn't have hair when he did in the movie, but I would really like to get the fig to go with robot emmet Quote
danth Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I hope we get the small space ship from Benny's movie poster. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I'd like more Unikitty expressions. I know it's wishful thing, but it would really take the sting out of the SDCC exclusive Kitty if they offered those faces on two new figures in next year's sets, with the SDCC remaining a unique exclusive in having both faces on a single figure. And it would be fantastic if Green Lantern were released in a set, as well. Ah, well. Perhaps there'll be a more movie-accurate Metalbeard, which would be great. I concur with all the call for more new character expressions as well, especially Business, and I also hope for Robo Disguise Wyldstyle. I know Emmet's car has already been done as a rather generous TRU building event freebie, but it would also make a great small, inexpensive set - more affordable than anything else in the line, aside from the Minifigures and the promotional freebies. Of various things in the movie not yet done as sets at all, the Copper Chopper and Wyldstyle's western wagon strike me as good set candidates. I really want Bad Cop's City-Western Police horse. :D Quote
