Zerobricks Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Gimme! They look awesome! Power Puller wheel replacement? Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 The ones at the back look more interesting.... Quote
Paul Boratko Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 The front wheels/tires would look great on the 42000... Quote
peter_m Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 (edited) The ones at the back look more interesting.... But those are Unimog tires... http://htmlimg3.scribdassets.com/kac4d2m9s3yaa1i/images/4-aa2bf9f85b.jpg Edited July 20, 2014 by peter_m Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 The front wheels/tires would look great on the 42000... I am expecting to see a big american style chopper from Bricksonwheels soon..... But those are Unimog tires... They do look like them...but are the hubs a different size to the front? If so then we might get a new color of hub... Quote
Paul Boratko Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 But those are Unimog tires... http://htmlimg3.scri...-aa2bf9f85b.jpg Ah Huh! So that is what they brought the old style worm gear back for... The nice thing about this set is that you can sell off the 2 minifigures for probably almost 1/2 of what the set sells for... That is if you are not into minifigure collecting... That Heath Ledger style joker figure is going to be HOT. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 (edited) I can now confirm that the rear wheels are unimog wheels or that the wheel hubs come in a new color... Why are they not using lego shocks at the back? Edited July 20, 2014 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
Paul Boratko Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 I can now confirm that the rear wheels are unimog wheels... Why are they not using lego shocks at the back? Was wondering that too... Looks like a perfect set up for some simple suspension.. I think the hubs are just the 42000 ones(The rear) but are gold colored... Quote
peter_m Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I hope TLG will release a regular technic set with those front tires somewhere in 2015 - otherwise they will be crazy expensive on BL. Quote

Yeah, they will be expensive... You may be able to buy them right from Lego though... Edited July 20, 2014 by Paul Boratko Quote

Paul Boratko Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 These 2 little fellers will pay for about 1/2 of the set... Quote
D3K Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 This might very well be my first non-Technic set since I was maybe 8 years old! Quote
rollermonkey Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 ...and no arguments about whether or not it's a UCS, it's got a spec plate. Quote
Rishab N Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Whoa I didnt even know there was an UCS Tumblr Looks like I'm a bit behind. I want it but theres so many other things to buy Quote
z3_2drive Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I can see some nice muscle car or dragster MOCs using those Quote
therealjustin Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Forget the 2014 Technic sets, I'm getting the Tumbler. They really nailed the look! Quote
kamsohal Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 looking very good and detailing.amazing.how do you build a masterpiece like that? Quote
Technyk32231 Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 (edited) Those front hubs are rear 42000 hubs. If you look closely, you'll see that it has 2 pin holes exactly as in the 42000 hub, and the front wheels look to be connected with a 3 pin hub, suggesting the use of 42000 wheel hubs. Oh, and it looks like the rear is using Unimog portal hubs. Edited July 21, 2014 by Technyk32231 Quote
Doc_Brown Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 OMG.... New half connectors holding the wheel hub too. nice. Doesn't look like it steers tho. Shame its on those wheels tho! Lets not forget those wheels spin inside the tire like mad! They look amazing on the tumbler, but are a little too wide in my opinion, good for F1. People will be modding the hell out of this thing!
