Does anyone know how long the Tumbler is? I'm hoping it will fit inside a Detolf case.

Quote from s@H:
Tumbler measures over 5” (15cm) high, 15” (40cm) long and 9” (24cm) wide

Just heard those front tires are over $11 each from Lego...

I will try and get those front tyres and wheels. The look reallly nice. Will check customer services once the set is released.

Interesting! :sweet: Thanks Paul, you've just gave me another argument to convince my girl that buying this set is reasonable decision

Not only that, but if you are not a minifigure collector, you can get $100+ just for the Joker and Batman... My wife recently sold the Joker for $60 and Batman for $50

I am surprised no one has made mention, but I actually am not pleased with the back tires for the UCS Tumbler. The front tires are great but that back :hmpf_bad: in the original tumbler the back tires are more balloon-type tires, and certainly have a lot of thread to them. To me it seems like large balloon tires would have been better. I know that the Unimog tires are the largest out there, but they created a whole new mold for the front, why not the back tires. It would have been cool if there were huge balloon tires with this set, larger than those say... on the 9396....or gasp.. should I say it.... bring back the Power Puller tires!

The real Tumbler use Super Swampers. The Unimog tires are actually closer to accurate than any other LEGO tire. The proportions are about right, but the tread is wrong.

Will it come out of the front section of the tumbler? :sweet:

I'm afraid not.

Sariel, Do you have a set of these tires already? How is the traction on them?

Seems pretty good. The tread is fairly deep.

My post #149 talks about the swamper tires I found on Ebay. I'm on the road for work right now. On Friday I will be home and will take pictures of the swamper tires next to the unimog tires. The size difference between the two is within a mm in width and height.

Yea, I guess the best response was put out by blakbird. He mentioned that the dimensions are correct, but the tread is wrong. I agree with that. I think the first thing that I will do when I receive my tumbler is replace the back tires with perhaps RC tires.

If you're looking for better aftermarket rear tires for close-to-real looks, here are 2 pictures of RC 1.9" tires:

Compared to the movie tumbler tires (below) the first one on the left seems to be a perfect match, but I cannot find the name of them.

Shame its on those wheels tho! Lets not forget those wheels spin inside the tire like mad!

There's an easy fix for that maybe several.
