Yzalirk Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I have two ideas for "personal equipment". If I had to guess, it would probably fit under the "additional" category but anyways, my idea is a "genetic reconstruction" or "plastic surgery" for your character in case you want to change his appearance. My reason for this suggestion is fairly simple, the person may not like how their character looks after a period of time or expands his/her LEGO collection for a character with a more suiting look. My other suggestion would be called "new identity" or "my new ID" and that basically allows you to change your character's name. The reason for it is similar to the first reason for my first suggestion - the person may not like their character's name so they want to change it. I'm sure with the newer age technology, these can come true. I was also thinking about one of my older suggestions for a second character. Perhaps if a player pools enough credits or reputation or something, they can "genetically engineer" a new character? Quote

I don't see any reason why you couldn't just do that with role play in your builds? It doesn't have any game-effect apart from being a cosmetic change. I know I'm going to show my character in a variety of outfits (and not outfits) over the course of this game, so unless you're fundamentaly changing the character, I don't see why you'd need to sacrifice your hard earned money for that. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

I just think that if you do so, people won't be able to recognize your character. The name change would have to be an equipment for sure seeing as how it'll have to be changed for the signature and player index. I suppose the same would have to be done if you change your character's face too, not so much as his attire. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Is it acceptable to use a combination of 6 Green and Black for a M.A.N.T.I.S. sigfig? Quote

Your character can decide to change his name in one build, and then you can probably ask a mod to change your info for you. Same with the figure itself. If your character gets a new helmet in a weekly build, then you can change your picture to reflect that. If your character gets a nasty scar, you can change your picture to reflect that. If your character becomes a cyborg, or half-alien, you can change your picture to reflect that. I'm sure the Mods would be willing to update your picture for you if you ask. Same goes for your character's name. Perhaps this character has been undercover in another identity, and you make a dramatic reveal in one of your builds. It can be whatever you want, I'm sure. Also, I've used 2 different faces for my character already, and will likely use more to reflect mood and environment. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Myrddyn Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Is it acceptable to use a combination of 6 Green and Black for a M.A.N.T.I.S. sigfig? Some sigfigs don't have any green, and there's a few other colours in there too. I'm pretty sure it's just a guideline, so any green would be fine. Quote

Since it seemed like a common enough question that it must have come up before, I flipped through the first few pages of the thread - my bad for not being energetic enough to do that in the first place. For the colors of the corporation they do need to be used in every build. M.A.N.T.I.S. accents can be green or olive green with lime green. Looks like another M.A.N.T.I.S. will be joining the ranks shortly. Quote

I just don't want to seem like a pest when it comes to a change in name and/or picture. I really like your idea there so I'll definitely keep it in mind. Quote

Kai NRG Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I have a question about the gold credits - if I understand correctly your status in your group depends upon the number of earned, (as opposed to currently owned, since you could have spent some), gold credits. If that's the case, how are we supposed to know the difference between earned but spent credits and credits we actually have and can spend sometime in the future? Right now of course that's not a problem, but a few months down the road I could see it getting confusing! Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 The players index shows the two values. Also the signature image shows the credits you own at the moment, while the players charts shows the total credits you earned. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I just went over the Planets and Player's sheet... and now I have a question. Since domination points are granted on Homeworld planets.... would it be possible to wipe an entire faction off the map?! Also, Bob, could you provide a link to the interactive Map on that page? It would make getting to the map from an android device easier! Awesome first round! The hosts deserve many applause! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
