I can't quite tell, did they replace the old cape material with the newer one used for Vitruvius/Wizard from CMF Series 12?

No the cape is the same just a softer lighter fabric that doesn't get out of whack when you place him in vehicles. All other figs seem to have it like Sups and Supergirl. Thor and Vision also appear to have it.

Any fellow Minnesotans have any luck finding these sets?

I'm one state away from New Jersey and we don't have as much as one of the new sets. I'm inclined to question the accuracy of such a claim.

I live in New York and am right there with you. 2 Toysrus within 10 minutes of me. Neither have ANY of the new sets.

I just called TRU, and there is no data available....which means they didn't get them yet...in any store in the state.

And if my name doesn't make it plain, I too am in Jersey.

Pennsylvania here, I don't have TRU that is close enough for me to drive at any day. Seeing all these posts makes me want to just wait when it comes to Target.

I've been keeping an eye out here in West Virginia, since the Nightwing and Riddler Chase sets started popping up in Wal-Mart around this time of year last year. No luck so far.

So I did read the cape is of a different material. I wonder what the longterm durability will be like. The Vitruvius from the DVD set ripped in half by the neckhole. Very cheap fabric. I realize that is a Chinese factory figure, but how can "cloth" be so terrible too. I really hope that isn't the start of things to come.

Has anyone yet reported the Target DCPI numbers for the sets?

BrickShow just did a review on the Darkseid Invasion set and i actually enjoyed the review, I'm also very pleased with how that set turned out !

Don't tell me what I have seen and what I have not. I tell nothing but the truth. Maybe it was an accident that they put them out on the shelves, but they were definitely there. Why would I have any reason to lie about this, exactly?

The capes are a thicker felt material, previously used on the Dementors (both versions), and Storm in the X-Men set. It makes it way too thick at the neckline. It's not the Vitruvius cape material.

I guess I hadn't noticed it being too thick at the neck with Storm. Is that the same material as the Hobbit capes for Galadriel and Elrond? I guess I don't remember how they felt.

Anyone in the UK noticed these sets popping up? I'm going to the Lego Store and Toys R Us on the 30th and will post here if I find anything :)

Nope, Galadriel, Elsa, and the Wizard have a much thinner, smoother cape material.

Well, the little blurbs I do with the picture reviews are less descriptive than Brick Horizon, so I don't mind at all!

And, speaking of which, my Green Lantern set came in the mail today!

Overall, this is such a good set. There's three exclusive minifigures, a nice "beacon" (or as the product description describes it, "cage"), and a sleek ship. The ship has two very hidden missiles that make for a fun play feature. The $20 price point for about 175 pieces is a nice value as well.

And, here's a look at some of the extras in this set. There's two different soft plastic bat-wings, a super jumper, Sinestro's staff, a translucent neck clip piece with two studs, and a lantern.

He's not just some guy, Vader used to be a big shot moderator here on EB a couple of years ago (between 2005 and 2008 if I recall correctly)

Too bad the Green Lantern set doesn't contain rings for Hal and Sinestro, I kinda hoped they would be included (despite being clearly absent in every picture we've seen so far, silly me, I know ) Great set (and great review) nonetheless

Thanks! Yeah, the rings would be nice, but at least we got that lantern.

Why are all the sites taking these sets off their listings? And why do the sets come out nationwide on the FREAKING 26th????!!! By the way, I went back to my TRUs today. Nothing. So it was definitely an accident that they were there. Shoulda picked them up when I had the chance...man. But seriously, LEGO? December 26th? Really? The day after Christmas???!! The level of absurdity here is just...absurd.

Either one would be cool. I had an idea. If Lego made a transparent green China gorilla fist, it would make a good Lego green lantern construct.

That and those China transparent blue shield things in a green color.

A simple green lightsaber piece would do nicely as some sort of sort, or he could have a trans green spear and trans green Series 9 Brave Knight shield.

Those would be cool too. I'm surprised that this set didn't have any constructs in it.
