I'm guessing they won't be "kragled" to their bases.

Also, does anyone else notice that it's the 2012 WW, not 2014? Little bit odd, but it at least gives use the opportunity to get her.

SWEET! Hopefully we'll finally be able to get our hands on some requested minifigs at last!

This news is really exciting these sound pretty cool. I dont even think I'll play the game but some of these figure pack may find there way into my collection. On a side not I just found a shop by me that still carries the Batwing battle over gotham city and the Bat v.s. Bane Tumbler wich are both discontinued. Which of these should I pick up?

My God, the game still has Batman in the original mask! There have been TWO new versions, and the figure isn't even wearing the correct one! That's three hideous mistakes in one picture! How hard is it to render a new cowl?

Other than that, it looks great!

That's a lucky find but a tough choice. They're both rather nice. Of the two, I personally liked the Batwing set more overall--both the builds are nice and swoosh-able. The figures are also good--although at this point only the henchman is still exclusive. The Tumbler set on the other hand still has all exclusive figures (granted I don't think Bane looks that nice), and it has a spectacular camo Tumbler--there's a bit of a split on this, but I'm in the camp of loving it; I think it's scale is about perfect with the other superhero/city/Lego vehicles but it needs a bit of modding. The Bat portion however is a let down and mostly a throw away.

So really it's up to what you want more--exclusive figures or nice builds. Either way, they're both great to have in a collection.

I'd say Batwing. I'm still kicking myself for not getting it, even though I have no need for an extra Batman or Joker.

I'm having a very busy days so I hadn't the chance to check all the info on Dimension.

If I'm not mistaken, please correct me if I'm wrong, we connect the brick-built portal to our console and when we put the Minifigure or micro vehicle through it, they "appear" in-game. Am I correct?

Well I think I'll get the packs anyway for the Minfigures, I know I won't resist and I'll collect them :classic:

For the new Lego Dimensions game, there are two DC packs!

Wonder Woman and Invisible Jet:

http://www.amazon.co...lego dimensions

Cyborg and Cyborg Mech:

http://www.amazon.co...lego dimensions

The mini-models look cool and it'll be even better if the figures are detachable!

They are not cheap but we also get a "micro scale" model so I guess it's not that bad :classic:

8 brick Mario why haven't you picked the set up go grab it. You can get it for practically retail price on ebay sealed in the box

I don't do too much online shopping, as I prefer getting sets in-store. I'll keep an eye out, though.

I also used to own the batwing battle set but its mostly in pieces now. On the other hand I dont own the Bat VS Bane set. Back when I got the Batwing I was more interested in the older Batman sets which I almost have all of excluding killer croc set and original Arkham.

I'm kind of hoping we get a Raven minifigure from Dimensions, otherwise we'd probably have to wait around until next year (Or longer if we get mostly movie sets). Honestly her exclusion from the sets this year really didn't make sense as we got all the other Titans (The current lineup of them anyway) all in one year. I could see them having saved her for a Dimensions pack, if anything it's a good strategy to get people to buy into the game by releasing new must have characters.

Wonder Woman and Cyborg are nice, I'd especially like to have a spare Cyborg (Plus the helmet I got on mine has some faded printing on his hair).

Oh man, I can't beleive you beat me to it. But, the more people on the Raven bandwagon, the better.

Did I mention I need Raven?

Looking at Dimensions' starter box one of my first thoughts was : Is anyone surprised the DC Minifigure they put is... Batman? Again

I know Batman Minifigure is a connection between Lego DC Comics and Lego Movie but we are truly going to assemble a "Batman Clone Army" with all the Minifigures of him we get :classic:

EDIT:

Typo corrected.

It's smart. Batman is arguably the most popular DC character. Makes sense to make him a starter character on the covering and stuff.

I know, even though perhaps Superman is as popular, if not even more, and the focus of every Major event in the DC universe.

I was talking from the collector point of view: we are truly getting an army of him :classic:

However, like I said, he is a connection between the Lego DC and the Lego movie universes so it makes more sense to put him in the started than placing him in nearly every single DC set released :classic:

I agree 100%.

As a collector, obviously I'd rather see other characters, but from a marketing standpoint you want to start with the most popular characters that have already have been released mini-figure wise several times over. As much as we would like to think that they would hear us, this game is clearly aimed at kids obsessed with Skylanders, Disney Infinity, etc, not the AFOL's. Most kids who only casually follow super heroes will have no idea who characters like Raven are and will buy the game to play as Batman, Superman, etc. It's all about driving sales and unfortunately Raven will not do that.

I never said it was not smart, marketing wise  Like you you said they want to focus on the main characters. Yet, I wonder why they focus more on Batman than Superman.

I actually said "Is anyone surprised etc".

Beside I think even someone at Lego is "obsessed" with Batman :classic:

I definitely understand what you are saying. My original comment was aimed at the posts above yours that mentioned the inclusion of characters like Raven as a selling point to get people to buy into the game. I was just echoing/agreeing with Just2Goods post that it would actually have to be the opposite when launching a new game.

Indeed :classic:

I know sometimes it's hard to be a collector because marketing reasons will always prevail. Especially when it comes to toys. Anyway who knows, maybe one day we'll get Raven.

I'm sure not a lot of persons thought we could have got Brainiac Minifigure. Of course he's a central point of the recent "Convergence" but I guess he is not as popular to younger Lego fans like Batman is.

So I guess we can still hope. After all it can't hurt us :classic:

I'm just glad this years sets included a number of the "original" Legion of Doom characters like Brainiac from one of my favorite cartoons Super Friends as a kid. Let's hope next years include a few more of the original villains. Wonder Twin Powers Activate!

I agree and I have to say it was a very smart move from Lego.

Brainiac may be unknown to the average younger Lego fans but he is going to have a central role in the DC Multiverse. They put him in a sort of "exclusive set" ( If I'm not mistaken it's not available to any retailer) so they don't take the risk to have many sets going unsold in the "mass market" but it is very appealing to collectors :classic:

Oh don't forget that set also come with Supergirl (too bad about her hairpiece) and Martian Manhunter: I think it's a must have for Lego DC comics fans :classic:

The Brainaic set is available from Target and the Lego store (and is definitely a must for any DC fan).

Do any of you know where I could pick up the recently disscontinued Arkham set for a decent price that's not bricklink.

Calling up lego stores or toy stores is an option

I bought it from Lego and I didn't remember which other store has the exclusive. Thanks for reminding me :classic:

It is indeed a very interesting set, very different from the "mainstream Batman-filled" ones. The only downside is Supergirl's hairpiece but it's a wonderful set :classic:
