Does the Batmobile have a firing mechanism like the Green Lantern jet? Or is it manual?

I'm very glad to hear about the set being good, even though two of the new figs (Harley, Beast Boy) are disappointing. How do the mascot clown's eyes move?

The firing mechanism is very clever. You make two buttons which press down through the black 2x8 that sits across the front wheels, and each fires the rocket running underneath it. So you can target things pretty accurately!

The eyes and the hat are moved by handles at the back of the head - eyes spin, hat wobbles from side to side.

Wow! I can't wait! I think once it's available and I get it, I'll use the Funhouse as a separate section of Jokerland, so the Riddler can get in on the fun, and perhaps Damian will be the one captive on the winch. Joker and Harley can just go back and forth as Batman explores.

This has been pretty much my line of thinking since I saw the first batch of photos. When I first got it, I thought the Funhouse Escape was the new gold standard for villain sets, and I still love it to bits, but adding it to Jokerland really opens up a lot of possibilities for a full-on Arkham City-style carnival of death.

Ohhhh yeah. That's what me, my dad and my kids have pretty much been involved in this afternoon. The two sets work together wonderfully. I really think it's Lego Superheroes at its best. Lovely builds and hours and hours of fun for all ages.

Oh, please stop tormenting me! I have to wait a while!

On the other hand, it's nice to hear the positive opinions before these sets are released in the US. Makes me more excited!

Built the Batboat tonight, it actually is not too bad.

My original Batboat has someoces missing (working on full restore) but I will post some comparison shots tomorrow.

Some pieces.

I'm a little disappointed that the Batmobile didn't have just one central missile launcher in the front to make it look more like the Burton version.

How much longer do you guys think it will take for these new sets to be on the majority of store shelves?

The new one's okay, but I'm definitely going to mod it to be more "black...and very, very dark grey". I don't think the detached boats look that good either, since they use the rubber raft piece. I want the set more for Deathstroke and Dick as Robin than I do for the boat.

Didnt buy the spiderman sandman set, too crappy looking for now.

Good Decision, i got it, and it's seriously disappointing.

If the best part of a super-heroes-set is the crane, you know something went wrong.

Bat-Boat is really good, i only wish they'd put the Dual-Color-molded leg from Jokerland in it.

Jokerland-Batman is my favorite version, i think the legs work great.

Oh man, I really hope they put that Spider-Man with the boots in another set soon, because I really need Superman to have those boots but I really want Spider-Man to have them, too!

I just wanted to ask the owners: Is there anything going on in the Jokerland "Hall of Mirrors" besides the opening/closing doors? Or is that it? If it's empty, I might put the clown cannon in the doorway.

I'm don't own the set, but I thought the mirror in the back slid forwards.

Those boots on Superman are a huge improvement; I hope he'll have some in a future set (becuase I'm not picking up the Spiderman one).

Anyways, boats are up on my flickr feed.

Krikkit, it is cool man! It is nice to have the comparison of the three batboats including 7780.

I just wonder if you happen to have other bat-vehicles from the 2006-2008 era. There seems to be none other than 7780 after searching through your flickr feed.

Can you post more of those bat-vehicles or maybe even do the comparisons of them with the current DC line bat-vehicles?

I think a lot of us here would like to see that.
