Robianco Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) It wouldn't surprise me if the Collector or another of the SDCC figures made an appearance in the same way Bats and GL did but I'm not sure whether the whole 'SDCC Exclusive' thing means they won't release them at NYCC due to an exclusivity agreement. NegativesAccount Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 They didnt have the game people. Doesen't work that way seperate things. Actually, it's still Troy Baker as Batman...the only ones who hadn't been cast yet were Aquaman (so the change is understandable) and the Flash, who we don't have the actor for yet, as he was silent in the first game. I just meant that all the actors from LB2 commonly work in television, and even reprised their roles for Lego Batman the Movie. Quote

As I recall the Lego Batman movie was made by the same people who made the game, so that's why the cast remained the same. As for this special the cast could be changed for a number of reasons; budget and availability probably being the most likely answer. Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Anyone seen this picture? Do you think that's our Supergirl minifigure? Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Anyone seen this picture? Do you think that's our Supergirl minifigure? I don't think so, she's probably going to have the black widow hair in blond. That slightly looks like a custom. Quote

adotnamedstud Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 http://imgur.com/cOnP2Vb http://imgur.com/Y69RhrU Here are The LEGO Movie's Batman's expressions in full detail. No sweatband... Yet worse. Imgur is also being stubborn and will no longer deeplink images friendly like. All you get is a zoom in button now. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 That looks really bad, i mean it's a new face for batman but definitely not getting that set. It looks better when the cowl is on the head, otherwise if you take it out it does not look like batman. Quote
Captain Nemo Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Does it really matter? As long as it looks good with the cowl on, its fine by me! Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 One more picture of batman, it has the lego movie personality, but i still don't know what to think about it. It looks better with the cowl on it. Quote

Yet worse. Imgur is also being stubborn and will no longer deeplink images friendly like. All you get is a zoom in button now. I'm not sure why people are hung up on the headband. Is the reason that you care about the head is because you can't reuse it for Bruce Wayne? This seems to match the look of The Lego Movie Batman pretty well (dark lining around eyes, grin and scowl). What's to complain about? Edited October 12, 2014 by RobLego Quote
TheBatstan Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Now that looks like Batman is possessed by the devil. Though it looks amazing with his cowl on... Quote

Honestly, they look great. I don't really ever see the faces used without the mask, so they serve their purposes perfectly. Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Why even bother with regular eyes? It could just extend the black markings to look like a fuller mask. I hope that this isn't similar to our 2015 Batmen, even though they will be printed on white/black heads. Quote

TheAmazingDarkKnight Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 (edited) "Wow, the head print looks bad without the cowl." ??? you're going to have the cowl on the head, so why complain about the face print without the cowl? It's not like you were going to use it without the cowl. Edited October 12, 2014 by TheAmazingDarkKnight Quote
Ashnflash Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I love how the eyes are different sizes! Quote
Pulp Detective Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I prefer the typical dead serious Batman not the drunk version like this one. Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 This isn't classic Batman, This is the LEGO Movie Batman. Quote
KCMatze Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I love those!! All my Batmen have their cowl on anyways, so... Must-have! Quote
rickfromkrypton Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I can't wait to add these new sets to my collection. One thing I wish they had done was make a villains only set. Like the Legion of Doom, or the Superman Revenge squad, etc... Quote
mattdev25 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I personally only like the angry expression, not the smirking, confident face. It doesn't really fit Bats if you're using him as a DC minifig and not a LEGO Movie fig... Quote
JDW Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I'm thrilled with these sets--I'll be picking up the Green Lantern and Darkseid sets on day 1. Also of note--while this comment might be more appropriate for the far away 2017 rumor/discussion thread--2017 is shaping up to be a great year for DC Lego with the releases of Justice League and the recently revealed Lego Batman film. So if 2016 only focuses on Superman/Batman, we can still look forward to a variety of sets the year after! Quote
Aura Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 The batman face looks so amazing! I am so happy they are releasing a LEGO Movie version of Batman! Perfect cheeky grin! Quote
