PromocjaLego Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Darkseid invasion: $59.99 I'm looking forward Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Let's hope that those are the official prices, only complaint is that the Darkseid set may be too expensive. I remember Hulk_Smash saying that the size of the Javelin is around the size of the X-Jet. So shouldn't the price of the Darkseid set be $49.99? The Darkseid set has a new bigfig, 3 new minifigs with new printing, 2 with new parts, and 1 with 2 parts in a new color. The X-Jet set had 4 new minifig prints and 1 new piece and 1 new color for a piece (Storm's hair). More changes = more $. Quote
Shib Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Rumour mill on the Dawn of Justice movie is that it will feature the Carrie Kelley version of Robin. If that turns out to be true and they give us one DoJ set I really hope they include her as a minifigure. I'd really like more variants when they repeat characters. Choosing a Damian Wayne looking Robin mini figure for the Joker Steamroller set was great, it's the one disappointment with this upcoming wave that Aquaman and Flash are not new variants, it'd have been great to have a hook handed Aquaman and a Wally West Flash. But still it looks the best wave for DC so far! Quote
K-Nut Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Hook handed Aquaman would have been really cool (though using the trans blue one from the old Alpha Team line works just as well), but I think it's hard to make Flash look like anyone else with the design they've gone with. I'm a die-hard Barry Allen fan, but I can see the current one being used as Wally West. Really the only thing I think that could improve Flash right now is Boots, but we've had that discussion a couple times already. Otherwise, I'm happy with him. Quote
TheBatstan Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 They could have put yellow lightning around his torso and mask to make it look like how he runs in the New 52. Quote
adotnamedstud Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) Ew. This is Batman's scuba suit but less cool and kinda lame. Thanks, luiggis62! Source: https://www.flickr.com/photos/98613141@N06 Edited October 20, 2014 by NuffSaid1996 Quote
psqidexslizer248 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) 88 Ew. This is Batman's scuba suit but less cool and kinda lame. Yeah, I'm not all that impressed either, but then, I wouldn't be getting the Black Manta set for Scuba Robin anyway. Hopefully pics of others figures are on the way. TheBatstan Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) I actually kind of like it, It goes well with your Scuba Batman perfectly. Love the Mutt Williams hair, I think he looks much better with it but is that a new face? Also love that he has his first costume logo, it's good to see that appear again. Source: https://www.flickr.c...os/98613141@N06 Looks fine to me, besides the lack of leg prints. Basically what'd I'd expect from a scuba Robin. Much better than the 2008 one. Quote
K-Nut Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Looks fine to me. Cool that he goes together nicely with Scuba Bats. Quote
namioik Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Looks fine to me. Cool that he goes together nicely with Scuba Bats. I totally agree. It would look perfect with Scuba Bats! Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) I actually like it, that red printing scuba mask face looks awesome Edited October 21, 2014 by amazingbricks Quote
Mr_KnowItAll_JD23 Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 I think he looks pretty cool. I hope that this figure leads to other special robin suits in the future. Quote

adotnamedstud Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Eh, time for my rambling on why I don't like this suit. First off, I hate how ridiculous these variations get. It seems like they want to sell you stuff you don't care about just for value. I really am reflecting on all DC toy companies with ridiculous variants of Batman and Robin. We don't need these. The characters are more than prepared for anything. It's not this "Oh Robin! Get in your scuba-suit while I get the Bat-submarine!" God no, please anything but this. If you have to resort to these kind of suits. Use another hero, or villain in that matter. The perfect rendition of this set would've been so simple. Just have a gate and small watchtower for Atlantis, include New 52 Batman with a normal face then another side would be the scuba face. Then you'd get a lightly armored Aquaman, Black Manta, and Mera. Batman would have a small diving vehicle and Black Manta would have a speeder that captures Mera. Perfect toy scenario and perfect treatment for the fans rather than what they have given us so far. DC is a very big universe with lots of great characters other than Batman and Robin. (Just a small rant, don't take offense to any of this.) Quote
Captain Nemo Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 *quotes picture right above for no reason* Wha? Why would you quote the picture that is literally right above your post? Citizen's arrest! Let's stop this epidemic please! --- Anywho, like expected Scuba-Robin is not super useful. The best part about him is his alternative "mask" face that I suppose could be used for some purist superhero/villains. Although we very much could have used another character, I do somewhat understand Lego's need to have a Robin in this wave--actually no I don't. What we need one more set; a small $12 one--with Cheetah of course. Really, just...just no. We don't need this Robin. Quote
Scarilian Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Hopefully we get a better looking Darkseid figure when we see him in Justice League Part 2 Quote

Also, I want a Black Manta before Cheetah. If I get a variant minifigure that's not necessary with a new character, which is something that has happened in the past, I'm fine with it. Quote

Oh I'm sure we will get her eventually, but I feel like this would have been the perfect wave/time to release her, what with the Legion of Doom/LB3 tie in. A small $12 set with Cheetah and Wonder Woman would have been a great way to get the characters and a great way to see how a non-Batman and non-male superhero set could sell. I also think the lack of a smaller end superhero set is a bit strange--I feel like the theme does best when there's a good amount of smaller sets (Lego excels at the $20 range)--it is all about the figures afterall (At least with superheroes). Amazing Bricks Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 I don't have a picture with me now, but Alfred is in the cartoon network special for justice league and he looks great. He has the series 10 grandpas headpiece and has new suit printing. Its a shame that we didn't get him last year or this year. The things they show in the special are most from last years sets. Maybe they wanted him to be in a set last year but decided to wait. Quote
TheBatstan Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) Could you try to get a pic later, if possible? Edited October 21, 2014 by TDKR2012 Quote

CommishGordon Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 I like that Alfred design. Perhaps if they release this onto video (like with some of the Star Wars specials), Alfrd will be the promotional minifigure. He would look great alongside the New 52 Batman - which I cannot wait to add to my collection! Quote
JaseTJ Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 I like Scuba Robin, personally. Plus with a different visor and a jetpack of some sort he'd make a plenty decent Space-Robin too. He can go anywhere with Bats! :P Quote
