Mr_KnowItAll_JD23 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 It's a good day to be Canadian. Quote
SMC Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 ^ Well there has to be one day . Only joking. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Nice printing on the new Caped Crusader! The angry head is much nicer on this one than in the past versions. The torso is fantastic, too, but we already knew that. The Jor-El promo is strange, but I'm tempted to go after it this time. Quote
Robianco Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Well if it's with ANY purchase it's worth just picking up the cheapest set for $12 or whatever and getting one. Quote

IMBATMAN Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Hey, a keychain is only 5. BUT when you cut off the keychain, you can't remove the head and there is this thing sticking out of the minifig's head Quote
Robianco Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Hey, a keychain is only 5. That's a fair point... BUT when you cut off the keychain, you can't remove the head and there is this thing sticking out of the minifig's head Just pull the keychain pin out of the top of the head with some pliers... some brute force should do it cleanly enough (it's always worked for me). That way you can remove the head and even replace the headpiece if you so desire... you'll just have the legs glued to the torso! Quote

Or use a soldering iron, if you hook the heated end in the eye of the pin it slides out with ease. Quote
Robianco Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Yep... I've read that method works well but I don't own a soldering iron so pliers and arm strength it is! ;) Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Don't forget to replace the pin with something else or the neck will break since the pin goes right down through the top of the torso.....it needs strength. Quote
Master_Data Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Hey, a keychain is only 5. Just did that, but I also had a code for free shipping. The figure will be available through the end of December, but I have a good feeling they will run out very soon. Quote
mattdev25 Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) Maybe with this Jor-El fig, it begs the question....if Rocket and Electro are leftover, and perhaps even Martian Manhunter, could these sales give the general public another shot at the figs? Edit: I forgot that RR and Electro weren't promos from TLG directly. My bad. Edited November 27, 2014 by mattdev25 Quote

Master_Data Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 MM sold out, therere arent anymore. That is what they said about Jor-El. However, if you really want a Martian Manhunter figure, your best bet is just to pick up the Brainiac Attack set. Quote

Store might have sold out of Jor, they get a limited amount, Lego.com obviously didnt Quote
Robianco Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 They're also giving away the Han Solo Hoth promo in Feb with any purchase... Wasn't the Electro bag given away by Lego at an event? If so there's a chance we'll get that at some point too... Maybe not with ANY purchase though... Quote
mattdev25 Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Personally, I like the Promo MM figure better than the Braniac Attacks one, but that's just me. Quote
Mr_KnowItAll_JD23 Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Personally, I like the Promo MM figure better than the Braniac Attacks one, but that's just me. I like to have alternate suits for my minifigures so I'm happy that next year I will get another different Martian Manhunter. Quote
8BrickMario Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I'm okay with both versions. But the promo MM's face is so creepily un-LEGO-like, I prefer the set version. I also like the new one's cape more. Quote
Kizmoz Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 spoiler ahead for anyone who's been playing Lego Batman 3 and not completed it... It may be a wishful thinking or a coincidence but the final level has some very similar structure traits to a project I submitted to Lego ideas... ( http://ideas.lego.com/projects/65602 ) ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pzp4bJIx_IM ) what are peoples thoughts? With the likelihood of more sets based on justice league theme standing alone from Batman later in the year, could this be a platform to release the new 52 design for Superman? (not my project but something similar) Quote

Anything is possible, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was a future set (although, I think I will support the project to increase the chance). Edited November 29, 2014 by psqidexslizer248 Quote

( http://ideas.lego.com/projects/65602 ) Probably a coincidence. Two separate designers building the same thing are bound to have similarities. Neat project though. Quote
IMBATMAN Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 That Lego Ideas project does look like the final level of Lego Batman 3. Too bad it doesn't have a giant Superman Quote
