NegativesAccount Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I hope so too. People keep bringing up the flick-fires as proof, and as much as I'd love to believe it's coming (and I really, REALLY do) TT's designs for other other original vehicles have featured the same thing. Case in point, all the original Robin vehicles from Lego Batman 2. Still we can dream...*longing sigh* Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 it also seems unofficial since it uses some illegal techniques. I only see the 1x1 clip holding a 1x2 grill plate as kinda questionable and even then figures holding plates is legal, or did I miss something? Quote
Zergos Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I would prefer we dont have the 66 batmobile as a set next year. Mostly cause I want more chances for different characters and not variants of characters. I know Lego loves variants for batman, but still. Quote
Borex Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 If there's gonna be a batcar '66 and it fits in with my ecto-1 and delorian, hell yeah i'm gonna buy it. I'm not a dc collector, but this is one popculture icon that cant be ignored. I hope Batdude'66 has the design in the game then. Quote
Dharkan Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 That is a boring car. I really hope it won't turn out to be a set unless it has nice minifigs. Quote
TheBatstan Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 (edited) Anyone seen this before? It's basically a new version of Robin from the original Batman line. I know it's not new but that hairpiece looks odd... http://www.us.lego.com/en-us/gallery?categoryid=385A634C-63E8-42F1-A892-C092C4A03EBD Edited July 30, 2014 by TDKR2012 Quote

Quote
8BrickMario Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 It's just an awkward render. That is the typical tousled hairpiece. The Robin minifigure looks similar to the Juniors one, except the hair is different, and the cape is longer. Quote

Colossus Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Say...if there are no unique pieces to the Batmobile, then we should be able to follow the build frame by frame n just build it the old fashioned way, right? Quote
vriverajr3 Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Say...if there are no unique pieces to the Batmobile, then we should be able to follow the build frame by frame n just build it the old fashioned way, right? someone on reddit has already made their own through bricklink. ill probably end up doing the same thing soon. i already have the juniors batman and robin so all i need now is the parts. hopefully soon someone will upload the instructions. http://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/2c0d7h/damn_sdcc_im_going_to_bricklink_my_own_batmobile/ Quote
8BrickMario Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I think they were referring to the game model. Apparently there are a few spots with unstable-looking techniques, but following the build animation would be incredibly difficult. Quote
Only Sinner Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 That is a boring car. I really hope it won't turn out to be a set unless it has nice minifigs. Oh, no you've got to be kidding. The Batmobile was a Ford concept car from the fifties known as the Lincoln futura and the fictional car had an atomic powered turbine engine. This was made as a Kustom back when even family cars had some real character. You don't think with Batman's style, he would want to drive a Honda or Toyota would he? Quote
Robianco Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 The 66 Batmobile is a work of art. An icon of its time and of the Super Hero genre. I'm not so sure we'll get another variant over the SDCC chibi version. Quote

I'm not so sure we'll get another variant over the SDCC chibi version. Oh, I more than hope so. My only worry is that they'll half-a** the minifigures. I mean, the SDCC figures were just rereleases, and if they make an actual version those simply won't hold up. However, the new mold required for Batman's 60's cowl worries me. Quote
8BrickMario Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I just feel like there was so much put into the '66 element of the game, that something more has to come out of it in the LEGO market. They got Adam West himself to complete the tribute! I want the cowl, but it's single use bugs me, since LEGO almost never makes overspecialized pieces. They made the Flash and M.O.D.O.K, though, so it's not completely out of the question. Quote

Modok does seem like a one figure deal though. Quote

The artist clearly stated that they had no knowledge of future mini figures, it was just a promotional piece. For example, the cyborg is the Teen Titans Go! version, and we obviously wouldn't get that. Edited August 3, 2014 by TheStrategist Quote

Rather than taking the poster as a cue. It just happens that Reverse Flash is on there. I can't think of anything that the Modok head could be used for. Quote
InfiniteSD Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I hope this helps. I created the SDCC batmobile in LDD if anyone wants to recreate it. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/infinitesd/Batmobile/batmobile.lxf Quote
Legoman123 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Can we expect to see a set list leak in the next week or so? Quote
KCMatze Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Don't think so... but I cannot wait either :D Quote
