8BrickMario Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) Wow, lemme go check Space Bats and Aquaman... Yeah, he's right. STOP using them! They do indeed warp the plastic around the lower legs and feet. I think they went overboard with the grip. The soccer platforms and Speedor stands didn't do this, and they both used inserts between the legs. LEGO should certainly be notified that their play gimmick is damaging their product. TheLegoExperience Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Can't recall seeing one posted but here's the new Green Arrow with a hood in place of the hair :) Thank you! I had a spare hood so I was going to try it, but now I already know it looks better this way. Quote

mattdev25 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I think that, for the Teen Titans set, Starfire will have a normal, content face with an aggressive second face with green eyes, like Supe's and Supergirl's for heat vision. I think Slade won't have a double face, just one, neutral (slightly mean/determined) face under his helmet, and Beast Boy will be like Cyborg; one smiling face and one angry face. Quote

That sounds about right to me, maybe a more happy/excited face for Starfire though instead of content. Edited January 4, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote
JaseTJ Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I don't see why Slade wouldn't have an alternate expression. Just about any named character does, unless their headgear doesn't cover the back. I'd guess like Batman's, a normal/scowly/serious one and a grinning one. Quote

_epicster_ Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Good to hear about the super jumpers, It gives me more reasons to hate them Quote

Well, I guess if Slade was given an extra hairpiece for the ability to have him without the helmet, I guess he'd have a reversible face, but if not, it wouldn't really make sense. I mean, yeah, you could take the helmet off, but unlike Iron Man's helmet, you can't flip it open, so you wouldn't be able to see Slade's face under the helmet anyway. Edit: Also, did anyone notice that the Beyond Gotham models for both BB and Starfire are based off of the Teen Titans/Teen Titans Go! cartoons? I looked up pictures of both and the models are clearly based off of those costumes. This leads me onto a quick theory: is the set going to be based on the cartoon, and we get a much less detailed Slade? Hopefully not, just making an observation. Its probably because those are their most iconic (and in Starfire's case appropriate) looks. I'm really surprised (read: dissappointed) Raven wasn't based on her look from there as well. As far as your theory, we'll probably see some elements of the show, say the Tcar, but not have the set based directly on the show. Beast Boy, Starfire, and possibly Raven (I will never give up hoping) will likely be in their Titans attire because it is more iconic and those three are mostly known due to those shows, while Deathstroke who is well known from just about everywhere else DC (DC really likes him) will likely not. Plus the clasic suit is much more colorful, thus it catches kids eyes and makes them want the set. Edited January 4, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Yeah, no way would a character with less than 3 inches of body covering be a minifig. The TTG version is necessary for the character to appear in any LEGO media. I wonder if she'll have that odd pink hair in the set, though. Unless the Titans set is a Double-Decker Couch-like supplement set, where's the conflict? Who are the heroes against? Quote

8BrickMario Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Okay. He confuses me, since I don't know when he's a bad guy and when he's an anti-hero. Quote
psqidexslizer248 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Okay. He confuses me, since I don't know when he's a bad guy and when he's an anti-hero. He is whatever benefits him (and, of course, DC) the most. Since he's more often a villain, Lego will probably make him the villain in the Teen Titans set. Quote
K-Nut Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Guys you all have to stop using the super jumper. I cracks the minifigures feet. It happened to me! My superman has a crack in his leg now! Yup, happened to my GL when I got the set a few weeks ago. There's some pointless ridges where the back of the leg meets the jumper. Makes it hard to get the figure on and off the thing. Quote
YoshiBlockr Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Also did anyone notice that green arrow has the worst facial expressions. He is normal and angry, in the comics he is happy and normal. Not angry! Can someone inform lego about the super jumper. Quote

Not angry! Can someone inform lego about the super jumper. Dude, you gotta notify them yourself. You always tell people here to do stuff for you... do it yourself! And yeah, I can attest for the jumper damaging the legs. It leaves some chips and scratches. Thankfully I didn't use it on Supergirl. Quote
Monkey Joe Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 So, Super Jumper is super lame. Got it. My Martian Manhunters legs came cracked :(. Any cheap sets that have those color blue legs? Quote

MrManiac Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Wow. That's just terrible. You know, I have only thrown out lego bricks that are completely and irrevocably broken in some way, but I think these super jumpers will just go straight into the trash when I get some. Honestly, Lego, how did that not come up in testing? Quote
BatZack Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Wow. I have plenty of knock offs I will test my super jumpers when they're released here in MARCH. See if they bend or break the fakes before the real ones get a go Quote
thatblockoguy Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Thanks for the heads up re the super jumpers Just so I'm clear, the figures aren't coming out of the box with cracked legs ( factory defect) but the legs are cracking because the plastic is being stressed by the attached jumper Quote
