Darth Caedus Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Also did anyone notice that green arrow has the worst facial expressions. He is normal and angry, in the comics he is happy and normal. Not angry! Can someone inform lego about the super jumper. Normal and angry matches pretty closely to the expressions most frequently seen to the Stephen Amell Arrow, and that's the only one that'll ever matter to me. I like the expressions. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 But I have question about the Super Jumpers. Don't you need the Jumper to fit Batman into the Bat-Mech? Quote
Steph 104th Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 But I have question about the Super Jumpers. Don't you need the Jumper to fit Batman into the Bat-Mech? Yes you do, you can see it in just2goods review of the set. He can go in without it but he has limited vision. Quote
napoleonlafy Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 wow this dc comics lego are awesome! Quote
The Lego Nolan Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I was able to pick up the Grodd set the other day. Flash's lighting bolt looks a little different. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 You don't necessarily need to use the jumpers in the mech or the Javelin. Just modify the space for normal standing or sitting room. Quote
mattdev25 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Thank God I didn't use them yet except for my precious Batman, whom I put in the Mech. Nothing happened, thankfully. But I really hope TLG changes this before the AoU sets this year. Quote
Ashnflash Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Ya the first time I put GL on one I was so scared it was too hard to put on and then take off. Quote
mattdev25 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Just looked at the packaging for the Trickster fig again, and I can say without a single doubt in my mind that this figure will definitely not be a Comic Con figure as some people thought. The packaging clearly does not resemble the bubble the 2013 and 2014 packaging the figures came in, so I think this fig will come with either a book or a movie (cutscenes of BG?). So I guess we can all sigh a sigh of relief now that the possibility is stamped on. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 It just seems so odd that they failed to check the minifigure's condition after using the jumpers. The intense difficulty in removing the figures should have been a red flag. What were they thinking by including those two protrusions on the back of the stand? ABS is fairly soft plastic against abrasive forces, but they molded in a section that scrapes the legs when the minifig is placed on it or taken off. I hope they learn something, because this is a serious design flaw. Quote
addemlit Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I flicked and flicked and flicked and coildnt get anyone to jump at all. I guess I'm not doing it right Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Well, stop trying for your figures' sake. But you just press down on the tab behind the stand and let go, like those jumping plastic frog toys. No flicking is involved. Quote
GuntherThePenguin Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I've been fortunate enough to pick up the Javelin and the Brainiac sets, and I bought the Grodd set online. I love the sets but I really dislike how stiff the minifigures are. Also, the Green Arrow fig just looks bizarre to me. Does anyone have any suggestions about a possible replacement hairpiece? Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Quick jumper suggestion: Put two studs onto it and then place the minifig. No damage, it can still work, and you can hold down the base to launch the figure off of it. Quote
JaseTJ Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I emailed Lego's customer service as well. I see absolutely no reason why we shouldn't all do so if we're so inclined. hopefully they'll realize and own up to the issue as soon as they hear about it, but the more negative feedback there is the more likely they are to fix it better and faster. I'm glad there's a way around harming the 'figs, though, 'cause they really look kindof fun Quote

Agreed these Super Jumpers must have clearly been in development for a year or so, so I'm extremely suprised LEGO didn't catch this. Quote
K-Nut Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Thanks for the heads up re the super jumpers Just so I'm clear, the figures aren't coming out of the box with cracked legs ( factory defect) but the legs are cracking because the plastic is being stressed by the attached jumper It's happening when you put them on the jumper. It just seems so odd that they failed to check the minifigure's condition after using the jumpers. The intense difficulty in removing the figures should have been a red flag. Are they supposed to keep the figure from flying off when you launch them? I didn't think the figures would end up falling off, but I don't see any other reason to why they'd be there. Quote
YoshiBlockr Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I recently tried to change the arrangement of the seats in the javlin. I kinda squished a 7 figures in there. It's very nice and the super jumper feature still works. I was wondering if anyone else tried to change the arrangement. If you did I love to get new ideas. Thank you all. Quote
Monkey Joe Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Anyone have the DPCI for the GL vs. Sinestro set? I could only find the ones for darkseid and Grodd. Quote
TheBatstan Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Good to know about the Jumper. I wasn't going to use it when I got the sets anyways and now I definitely won't be using it. Quote

Just because you think it's going to be for a book or a DVD doesn't mean it will be. I hope it isn't SDCC, but it may still be. Personally I believe it's going to be a book or a DVD, but until Lego confirms it, it is always going to be a rumour. Personally I hope it comes in the Flash Season 1 DVD. Quote
Mr_KnowItAll_JD23 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Personally I hope it comes in the Flash Season 1 DVD. One could only dream . Quote

It's in the same packaging as the other book/DVD releases from the past (Clark Kent and Electro Batman), and in the future (Batzarro). We've never seen a physical SDCC figure on any website before, from what I know (at least not this early). It can basically be fact right now it will be a book/DVD type exclusive figure. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) Indeed. It is in the custom shell packaging that only book and DVD exclusive minifigures use. SDCC uses small compartments like the Build-a-Mini boxes, letting tha figure rattle around inside. And are SDCC figs made in China, anyway? Edited January 4, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote
Krikkit Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Yes you do, you can see it in just2goods review of the set. He can go in without it but he has limited vision. No, you can fit him in seated using two studs that are inside. I've been fortunate enough to pick up the Javelin and the Brainiac sets, and I bought the Grodd set online. I love the sets but I really dislike how stiff the minifigures are. Also, the Green Arrow fig just looks bizarre to me. Does anyone have any suggestions about a possible replacement hairpiece? Dr doom or a mirkwood elf hood. I recently tried to change the arrangement of the seats in the javlin. I kinda squished a 7 figures in there. It's very nice and the super jumper feature still works. I was wondering if anyone else tried to change the arrangement. If you did I love to get new ideas. Thank you all. Can you please post an image? I would like to see the config. Went to Milton Keynes store Friday and picked up the last Javelin set off the shelf, along with a Brainiac set for the same reason as you Sam, Had to travel from Peterborough as they're the nearest LEGO store to me, so thankfully I had the choice of all sets at the time. Have been around numerous retailers where I live and nobody seems to have a clue about any new sets, despite each store having a very sorry looking display of older LEGO... TRU having one of the worst with their display solely made up of Riddler chase and a handful of Man-Bat sets. :/ I've noticed the new capes look better if you don't push the head fully down onto the shoulders, by doing so it stops them curling upwards like a scarf. Another note is take care putting on Supergirl's cape. Apply it before adding the legs, as when trying to put the head on, the leg hinged and caused my fingers to slip and nearly tare the cape around the neck (slightly over stretched) That would be why there were none in MK :P It is ok though... Cardiff had all of the sets... Oh I am now a little fiscally lighter! I have yet to open ANY of the capes. I am just going to order some from firestar toys. Also, one of my Superman figures came without the intense laser beam eyes and instead came with a smirk... I think this was in the Darkseid set. Can someone else please confirm? Or did I get lucky? I'll be bricklinking Manta and Robin. £12 for those 2 rather than £50 for that set for me! I know what you mean, but the manta and the sub were actually really nice builds. Another bat-item for his inventory. But the manta sub is really nice. Quote
