YoshiBlockr Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) This is the seating arrangement I tried, it works very well. Oops I can't post a picture for some reason. Please help me. No, you can fit him in seated using two studs that are inside. Dr doom or a mirkwood elf hood. Can you please post an image? I would like to see the config. That would be why there were none in MK :P It is ok though... Cardiff had all of the sets... Oh I am now a little fiscally lighter! I have yet to open ANY of the capes. I am just going to order some from firestar toys. Also, one of my Superman figures came without the intense laser beam eyes and instead came with a smirk... I think this was in the Darkseid set. Can someone else please confirm? Or did I get lucky? I know what you mean, but the manta and the sub were actually really nice builds. Another bat-item for his inventory. But the manta sub is really nice. Ok so I put the pictures on my Flickr account. The link is right here. I will also be posting a video on my YouTube channel with more modifications I made with this set. https://www.flickr.com/photos/55758420@N05/ Edited January 4, 2015 by YoshiBlockr Quote
Sam892 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I'm not trying to be rude or mean here, but since when are you an expert in all of Legos ideas. Just because you think it's going to be for a book or a DVD doesn't mean it will be. I hope it isn't SDCC, but it may still be. Personally I believe it's going to be a book or a DVD, but until Lego confirms it, it is always going to be a rumour. Personally I hope it comes in the Flash Season 1 DVD. That packaging is nothing like the packaging that LEGO uses for SDCC. The SDCC packaging is not only larger for the figure, but it's also larger so that LEGO can plaster Logos and text over it. The SDCC packaging is covered with colour and the word Exclusive and 1 of so many. This is the type of packaging that LEGO uses to insert into other companies products like Books and DVDs. It's small takes up as little space as possible as it's a by product, since the SDCC figures are the products themselves then they need to be Big and in your face. Quote
K-Nut Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Indeed. It is in the custom shell packaging that only book and DVD exclusive minifigures use. SDCC uses small compartments like the Build-a-Mini boxes, letting tha figure rattle around inside. And are SDCC figs made in China, anyway? None of the ones I own are (Shazam, Phoenix, Zur En Arrh, and Collector). Quote
The Lego Nolan Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Trickster appears to have the same type of packaging as the new exclusive Bain. (Hobbit character not misspelling of Bane) I think either they and others could be available from the same place or a similar way to get them. Quote
Monkey Joe Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Another dumb cube probably! Lightning Lad is the cube figure Quote
BatZack Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 It's in the same packaging as the other book/DVD releases from the past (Clark Kent and Electro Batman), and in the future (Batzarro). We've never seen a physical SDCC figure on any website before, from what I know (at least not this early). It can basically be fact right now it will be a book/DVD type exclusive figure. That packaging is nothing like the packaging that LEGO uses for SDCC. The SDCC packaging is not only larger for the figure, but it's also larger so that LEGO can plaster Logos and text over it. I agree with all of you that it probably will come in a book or a DVD (thumbs up for flash season 1), but what I'm saying is that this site is common for selling stolen products. I am 100% on your side believing it's for a book or movie, but what I'm saying is it's not going to be confirmed unless lego confirms it. For all we know, the guy stole the minifigure then went out and got a book to put plastic on it so it looks authentic, like I said I doubt that's the case but it's just a fact of it not being confirmed until lego says so. Sorry about the confusion, I should have said it better Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Another dumb cube probably! Nope. The cubes contain a black ring with custom indents for figs to be pressed into. Trickster is certainly a book or DVD figure. And it's got to be real, since the plastic shells are custom-molded to fit the figure, and Trickster's seems to fit quite nicely. Quote
StreakofBlue Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Is there a chance that we will get a Shazam figure before the 2019 movie? Quote
TheLegoExperience Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Is there a chance that we will get a Shazam figure before the 2019 movie? I think so, there are too many possibilities for it to appear. With regular sets, S@H exclusive polybags, and exclusives (From DVD's, Books, and Video Games), DC would have to be beyond clueless to not allow LEGO to release one. Quote

Sorry about the confusion, I should have said it better The SDCC figures are manufactured elsewhere in the world, you can tell when you bend there legs all the way back or rotate there arms forward. The SDCC figures, don't have square indentations on the inside of there arms or top of there legs, which means they are manufactured outside china. If I remember correctly a black printed square on the top of the torso indicates Denmark, but I'll have to check that. The stuff that comes from the China factory is either CMFs, extremely large unique parts ( like the JP dinos ) and parts that require a large amount of printing ( Super girl's legs ). On top of that it would require a lot of specialised machinery to create Blister packaging to that quality, you would need a mould for starters which isn't cheap. Lastly we only get between 500-1500 of each SDCC figure. It's such a small production run, that they wouldn't need to start producing them this far in advance. At the speed of Which LEGO 'a factories can produce mini-figures they could produce them around a month before. It would take LEGO around a day ( 2 at the most ) to make that many SDCC figures. Why would they be pumping them out in December? There's no question in my mind that this is a large production run intended to be included in a large batch of products like a DVD/book. There's no possible way on earth that figure is SDCC it's impossible when looking at all the facts. Quote

8BrickMario Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) Gimmicky and hazardous to figs though they may be, I'm enjoying my modification to the Jumper that makes it usable. I just now realized that the tan pins on the Skull Ship are to knock out the ray cannon by jumping a fig into it. The uses of the thing are rather enjoyable, gimmick aside, and add a fun little skill game to the sets, a la Speedorz. I appreciate how each "knockback" feature is different in effect and execution. and the Javelin's use of it looks really nice. I won't forgive them for screwing up the piece, (and eagerly wait for them to address the issue) but now that I've bypassed it, I can enjoy the functions. Any opinions on the best use of it in the sets? Edited January 5, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote

Why do you have guys on the bottom of the ship? Nice work, although we don't really need the extra space since we only need seating space for Green Arrow, Aquaman, Flash, and Batman (when not in his Space Suit). BatZack Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Just changing subject for a minute, does anyone think it's possible for Lego to release another plastic man? I am getting a knockoff one from SY next year but I want an official lego one Quote

I am getting a knockoff one from SY next year but I want an official lego one Seeing as how they used the New 52 design as opposed to the most recognizable, classic design, and how none of the exclusive characters for DC so far have proven to be too exclusive, I think it's only a matter of time before we get the real deal. I think he means that since have of the justice league can fly unaided (Green Lantern, Superman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter and Hawkman ) and most of those can survive in Space ( can Hawkman survive in Space?) that they wouldn't need to use the Javlin. To be honest though the Javlin is pretty pointless anyway. Unless the Justice League is travelling through space, as none of the Justice League really need it. If the threat is on Earth then all those leaguers previously mentioned can just fly there, Aquaman can swim at hundreds of miles an hour, run pretty fast and leap entire buildings due to his legs. Flash can run there and Batman can just use the Batwing. Green Arrow could hitch a ride with Batman or be carried by Green Lantern. SHAZAM can fly and Cyborg can teleport if he has one of Darksieds motherboxes in him like in the New 52. In fact they can all just teleport from the Watchtower anyway, so it really seems ineeded. I know that 2 of the leaguers are billionaires ( 3 if your going of New 52 where Lex Luthor is now a member of JL ) but still seems like a waste of money, plus the amount of fuel that thing uses must make it a nightmare to maintain. The Javelin makes more sense when thinking about the larger League (Atom, Question, Black Canary, etc.). Most of those guys and gals can't fly and teleporting likely takes more energy than the Javelin would (and the Javelin is probably safer and more accurate, teleporting is really only good for speed.) Plus the Javelin provides a consideable amount of firepower while teleporting does not. Edited January 5, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote
