DJ Bricks Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 I was playing LB3 and found one more piece of evidence toward Killer Croc's game design being official. He has a realistic jaw hinge, true, but when he falls apart, the jaw piece detaches, giving more support to the plausibility and realism of the design for a physical bigfig. I heard a while back that the Bumper Car was already available? Was that true, and has anyone seen it? So does Doomsday Arkillo, and Kilowag. Doesn't mean anything. And the bumper car is somewhere on the TRU website. Quote
Monkey Joe Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 The bumper car was found on TRUs website. But listed as unavailable. Ninja'd! Quote
Darth Punk Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Except this isn't a ship its a website where a bunch of adults talk about toys. Except it's called an analogy, one which I think a user named captain nemo would appreciate. Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 (edited) Yes, I'm really hoping the Arkham asylum/LB3 game design is in a set. So far non of the spring wave has attracted me and a big fig croc would be the selling point for sure! Edited January 7, 2015 by Im a brickmaster. Quote

eldiano Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 how long is the Superheroes contract with Lego run for? Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 (edited) So does Doomsday Arkillo, and Kilowag. Doesn't mean anything. And the bumper car is somewhere on the TRU website. No, none of them have a hinged jaw like Croc's, and none of them fall of when they die. Croc's jaw definitely looks like a physical design, and since the game treats it as a separate piece of the bigfig, that makes it more toylike and more likely to be a physical figure. how long is the Superheroes contract with Lego run for? Both Super Heroes themes are evergreen, like Star Wars, meaning the contract will be perpetually renewed. Edited January 7, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote

Given the shape of his head and the size of his mouth, a printed mouth may have looked strange on the 3D game model. Plus in the game he's required to eat Robin and spit out some objects in a few of the cutscenes, so maybe they gave him a jaw in game to do this. Quote

Arkillo's mouth opens as well in the game but he doesn't have a hinged jaw. Killer Croc could just be better designed in the game because he is much bigger (popularity wise) character, plays a larger role in the game, or it could be because he going to be released and the figure is going to look exactly like he does in the game (or all three even). We won't know until we have more to go on, unfortunately. Edited January 7, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote

BatZack Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Unfortunately the sets aren't being released in stores here in Australia until March. Unless I order them off the lego website, I have to wait until March at the earliest. And to be honest I'm going to wait. I'm so excited for the sets, but at the same time I can get them cheaper at Big W, Target or my local toy store Quote
YoshiBlockr Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 About the information I a have you all, just wanted to say read carefully next time. In my message I wrote it was a rumor not set in stone. None of what i said is from me, it's just a new piece of information I found from a friend. I never asked anyone to believe it or disbelieve it. All of you are making a big deal out of nothing. This is a safe forum where people can discuss news and information about legos. This is not a cyber-bullying website where people can be arrogant and find this website a way to throw their life issues. Mattdev, what you said was very mean and rude. First, what are you talking about with Me and hulk smash. I never said I saw any of the 2015 prelims. I took a guess that they would be released by September, but that's all I said. I was the one who was asking hulk smash questions about how the 2015 sets look. Secondly, whatever I said was not a lie, it is all information which is a rumor I heard from others. Again this forum is a safe place where people can discuss rumors and information about legos. I do not wish this conversation about minuscule rumors to continue. Also super goblin thank you SOO much for the target price. I never saw that. Is there any other sets haveing such amazing prices on other retails you might have seen. Quote
The Lego Nolan Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Actually, it was $160, but anyway figure counts for Super Heroes seems to have gone up since then. In 2012, Hulk's Helicarrier Smash (I think I got that name right) had 4 figures and a bigfig for $50 and Gorilla Grodd goes Bananas has 5 figures and 1 bigfig for the same price. And just last year, we got 3 figures in the Riddler Chase for $30 and now we are getting 4 figures in Brainiac Attack for $25. We could very well see 6 figures in the Jokerland set; I just do not think we have enough information to make assumptions yet. Hulks helicarrier breakout only actually had 3 figs. Loki, thor and Hawkeye. And one big fig, Hulk. So figure count has definitely risen. Quote

So figure count has definitely risen. So what can we expect, in terms of figure count? 8? I think 7 is a much more realistic number, however, we can the prices of the Milano set, which was $74.99, which contained 5 figs, and the Ninja Turtles snow chase set, which was $69.99, and included 5 minifigs and one duplicate fig. So, based off of this, for a $99.99 set, I think it's safe to assume that for the extra $14.99, which is 2 dollars more than the average "small set," which usually has 2 figs, 2 figs will be added to the original set of 5, resulting in 7 figs. Of course, there could just be a duplicate, possibly of a henchman, resulting in 8 figs, but I think it's safe to assume that we'll get at least 6 figs in the set, and, at most, 8. Possibly 9, but that's much less likely. Edited January 7, 2015 by mattdev25 Quote

It actually says "people of around the age of 18 or greater", implying that you can be slightly younger and still be able to sign up. Anyway, this isn't the place for this conversation. Quote

You cant blame us for taking what you say with a pinch of salt. Really hate to get involved in this argument between everyone, but to my knowledge it was a different member who lied about the Marvel sets. That user was legobatman55 who was banned, if you look at page 28 of the Marvel 2015 set discussion thread you'll see their posts where they lie, and their confession. Can we please just go back to talking about LEGO now? Right?........ok good. Looking at recent wave of sets it bugs me that LEGO aren't consistent with their Minifigure designs. Almost all of those characters are New 52 versions but Superman, Supergirl, MM, Brainiac, Grodd and Captain cold aren't. I don't really care about which version LEGO uses ( New 52, Pre 52 even bloody goldenage ) but it would be nice if all the figures were matching. Maybe do a wave of New 52 then, when LEGO has to double up on a figure then go classic or whatever. Quote

In the cases of Supergirl, Superman, and potentially Captain Cold, the New 52 versions may be made in the future. Quote
YoshiBlockr Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Now that this whole conversation is over, I would like to say it that I have just observed that the brainiac attack has no new 52 characters. Sorry if I am late, but I just noticed that. Quote

New 52 Supergirl's leg printing would have been far too challenging to pull off in a physical form, and MM already appeared in his '52 variant back in March. Grodd would have been way too complex to make in physical form, with all of his armor and such. Superman I believe we will get in the future, and I think that Pre-52 Brainiac and CC look better than the New 52 versions. Edited January 7, 2015 by mattdev25 Quote
