I have to say I like that there is a mix between the New 52 designs and the Classic ones, simply for the reason that I hate the New 52 designs. I think it would suck if DC insisted Lego could only the 52 theme that they seem to force everyone else to use. At least this way we get a bit of both, for those who like the classic designs.

If Killer Croc was in fact coming, we would've seen a leaked mould by now. I'll look around but don't get your hopes up. I actually hope he is a minifigure. So we don't get horrid vehicles like Green Goblin's Glider or Darkseid's floating bundle of bricks.

Not necessarily, we didn't see leaked molds of Grodd or Darksied, especially this far in advance. I'd rather have the bigfig just because the bigfig from LB3 is amaxzing IMO. Also, we really don't know if the set will come with a anything for Croc or if it does, what the build be or look like.

To be honest, I don't know how TLG will pull of Croc's chains...and as much as I really, REALLY don't want to believe it, I think Croc might be a minifig just for that reason. Crossing my fingers that TLG figures out how to execute it! Although, it would actually suck if they decided to bypass the chains entirely.

I like both the New 52 designs and all that's come before it and I like that there's a mix for everyone. But I certainly feel LEGO and DC could certainly try harder to complete the core JL in one variation before starting the other. I mean we started in 2012 with classic Superman, Batman and Wonderwoman then have us New 52 Aquaman and Flash. The designs of all those figures are fine but they look very mismatched when you have skin tight body suits of the classic outfits next to, highly detailed body armor of the New 52 versions. Maybe not so much with GL or Flash but New 52 batman looks crazy next to 2012 Robin.

I don't see any problems with the chains, I've wrapped chains like that around bigfig arms in ldd, does it not work in real life? If there is a problem, Lego will probably just skip the chain. I really don't think we'll see a non-bigfig Killer Croc.

Also, I realise this is probably a really dumb question but is Cyborg's head the same color as Man-Bat's? I don't own any other black (if that term is offense to some I apologize in advance) minifigures and always wondered what color Lego used.

They could also do Killer Croc the way they did Leather Head in TMNT. By combining a new mold with the standard minifig legs!!:)

Building the corps.

Sinestro Corps Scarecrow really is perfect. I've always thought it was a perfect idea in the comics, given the overlapping theme. Who's the green Green Lantern? And the human SC member? I'm not very good with the lanternverse, I'm afraid.

Scarecrow Sinestro Corps.....I think I just died. Will you do a Batman Lantern?

As mentioned before, Sinestro Corps Batman is an incredibly easy purist custom. I'm tempted to get another Sinestro for that purpose.

Oh, I hope not. It would make Croc look too top-heavy. The bigfig from the game or even a minifig seem more likely, I think, and I would prefer either one to a midfig.

I actually thought about that when I first saw Dogpound. I really think they'll go the bigfig route, though.

Why not use Sinestro's legs for Black Adam? (This should really be in the purist superheroes forum)

Croc as a Dogpound like mould would be worse. I just flat out hate big-figs. They seem like an excuse to just make whatever character close to a larger scale onto an ugly mould. I really think that LEGO just wants to get some more money out of sets, Grodd nor Darkseid had to be big-figs. Just my opinion/rant. I think the only big-figs should be Clayface and Hulk (and any other Hulk) and any large Hulk villain.

Captain Cold new 52 design would be cool though, ice hands, common who doesn't want ice hands on a minifig!

I have a Dog pound, TMNT mutants are ment look distorted firstly., and secondly the fig looks distorted is he is supposed to, but that's not to say love him, he is top heavy and only fits in with the theme, and his different sized arms mean you can't customise him

Yea Captain Cold's new 52 design is awesome. Disappointed they went classic route, but it makes sense. It won't be hard to make him 52. Oh and for croc, I hope they just use the bigfig from the game.

Lego probably would have just given him white hands if they went the new 52 route.

I can't even say how much I hate new 52 Captain Cold. So glad they went with the classic.

Normally I hate bigfigs too, but Killer Croc from Lego Batman 3 is the excpetion. I love the amount of detail that went into that figure.

In the New 52, Darkseid is huge. Grodd is a gorilla, and a minifig would be too undersized for the character. Dogpound and Leatherhead are just awful, though, and I hope they never do that again. I like bigfigs, but the stiff and specialized nature is a bit annoying. I feel like bigfigs were necessary for the characters who got them. Clayface, however, looks good as a sandwich-board minifig in the first two Batman games, and might not necessitate a big figure, but could still be one. If we get Croc as the bigfig from the game, he'll at least be a little more poseable with that jaw hinge.

After seeing Wentworth Miller's Captain Cold, I really really wanted that one even knowing it won't happen..

Agreed, but I'm not disappointed to get a classic version. And I would like to see Arrow's version of Captain Boomerang as well as the version from the Batman 3 game. I did replace Captain Cold's gun with the Sakaaran gun (with a trans-light blue round tile on either side) as it looks closer to the cold gun used on the Flash TV show. I'll have to look over the parts on Bricklink but I bet a TV version (or close to) of Captain Cold could be made. If there are going to be some "empty" years in between the DC movies we could get some sets based loosely on the TV shows but I'm not holding my breath on that (and we already have a Flash and an Arrow (with a little fixing)).

So far I haven't been disappointed with the versions of DC characters Lego has put out. Granted I made a few little tweaks on some of them but over all a good job done by Lego. I even like the big figures. The only thing I would change on those is to have them stand up straight and have hip joints like the shoulders are done

There doesn't seem to be any year without 2 DC movies until 2021, and that's because they aren't announcing them this early, so I wouldn't get your hopes up. For Captain Boomerang, I'd prefer his JLU design, but I think he'll be new 52.

As for the Wentworth Miller Captain Cold (I can't wait for his return on the 20th btw), there's a pretty good custom here: https://www.flickr.c...gf/15920757742/.
