mattdev25 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) There's a rumor going around that Batman > Superman will be split into two parts (Part 1: Enter the Knight on October 23rd 2015 and Part 2: Dawn of Justice on March 25th 2016). I wonder (if this ACTUALLY turns out to be true) if we could get (at least some of) the sets a little early, say October or November. We probably won't know if this is true until we get to see the trailer (rumored to be attached to Ascending Jupiter released on February 6th, 2015). That would make some sense, as the film wrapped last month. But, one of the producers said the post production would take a long time, so for now I'm gonna doubt it and say we get one movie and one wave of sets with it in January. adotnamedstud Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Just curious, where did you find this? It's obvious, DC wouldn't say: "Hey, watch our movie in 2016!" When they release a first part in 2015, that's horrible marketing. And the site for the title of the first movie's supposed name was bought today by the man who started the rumor. Quote

They could have just realized B>S was too long and needed to be broken up and figured announcing the first part in the trailer was the best way. I'm going to wait for an official announcement or trailer. Jupiter Ascending releases July 25th...? February 6th. That would make some sense, as the film wrapped last month. For the whole movie, but if they just decided to split the movie into two, they might have post production for the first half done in time. Edited January 9, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote
Krikkit Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) I agree, it's a sleeker hairpiece. Has anyone tried doing that? Purist super heroes thread. Also, one can only assume that they made Sinestro's hands yellow, was to sell more sets for people that want to army build some corps. Edited January 9, 2015 by Krikkit Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) But yellow is literally the most common hand color. :P Edit: I just used "literally" wrong, didn't I? Edited January 9, 2015 by Super Fish Oil Quote

Thats not a confirmation though, and given how WB has already moved the release date for this movie twice it's not that hard to believe. Until either WB say other wise it's not confirmed. If this does turn out to be true I bet TLG won't be very happy. They've already had to swap product ranges once due to this movie, and having to do it again must be frustrating. I'm sure TLG have the sets ready to go, but it would mean either creating a second wave or splitting the wave in two for both films. Quote

They'll probably just release some of the wave in mid-October/November and the rest whenever they were going to come out. That or everything will come in mid-October/November. It would depend on how spoilerish the set are, I imagine. Then again, why couldn't they release the sets as they planned? It's not like TDKR set was on time. While technically correct that it is the most common hand color, "literally" literally means true or, *sigh* literally translated, "to the letter", usually for something implausible or abstract. blarghiflargh Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Confirmed fake. Link: http://batman-news.c...plit-two-parts/ To be fair, that's not confirmation, it's really just some guy with a batman website spelling out his reasons why he doesn't believe it. I don't really believe it either, but I wouldn't expect anyone to just take my word for it either way. Quote
Legoman123 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 There's no way that that is real. DC simply wouldn't be able to keep something like that under wraps. Quote
KCMatze Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) Checked the General Zod hairpiece on Sinestro now, I am not a fan... So he will keep his original hair for now! Edited January 10, 2015 by KCMatze Quote
Robianco Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I prefer the Zod hair and pink hands than the way he was. I actually tried my Christo Sinestro hair on him and I don't really like that on him either! Quote

Hence the leak yesterday? Who knows, they could have just (less than a week ago) decided to split the moivie because they found it was way too long (or twice the money sounded too good). Or maybe they are still deciding what to do. But, those are just theorys, I'm still waiting for confirmation. Edited January 10, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote

psqidexslizer248 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I think they would realize that when they finalized the script. I guess, maybe they were wrong though... or the split could be in response to the complaint that they are putting too many characters into this movie. Quote
Sam892 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I think they would realize that when they finalized the script. Like WB did with the Hobbit . Either way the that WB haven't come out and said differently is strange, either way we'll know for sure on 6th of February when the trailer arrives. Still will be interested to see how this affects LEGO though. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 This isn't really about the sets anymore... and we still have no LEGO-related info for the movie. Quote

Then report it to a mod, and let them sort it out. Unless you report things they go unnoticed. Besides we have some LEGO info related to this movie. So far we know that BvS sets were designed and had to be moved to a later date due to the delay of the movie. We know this thanks to a LEGO employee at toy fair last year. We also know that LEGO may have change up the release of the BvS sets again with this new rumour. Plus looking at what they did with the hobbit where they had to provide for 3 films instead of 2 hence why some sets were spoilerish ( mirkwood spiders, battle of dol gor Dor). So can we expect something similar with this? Will LEGO spilt the existing wave in two or release the wave 5 months earlier and create a second? Edited January 10, 2015 by Sam892 Quote
KCMatze Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 We know for sure that LEGO will NOT miss any chance to promote and throw Batman sets at us We do not really know more. Quote

I'm sorry for being really busy lately with real life situations and not having the time to keep the discussions on track here. Until things do settle down for me, reporting any issues will get faster results. Movie discussion does not belong in this thread unless it directly relates to sets. Since we have the sets in the wild now, movie speculation just clogs up this thread unnecessarily when people come to this thread to talk or read about the sets. Quote
Zergos Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Hey, would someone be able to take a picture of captain cold with a white hood on? I just wanted to see how good or how bad it looks. Quote
Douglas_Jon Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Finally got my hands on all of the new DC sets and they're fantastic! Two problems though. The super jumpers are terrible as everyone has mentioned before but you can just choose not to use them. The biggest problem however is the capes. They are unbelievably fragile and I was struggling to not rip them during the build. I understand Lego want them more bendy and soft so kids can put them into cars etc, but they've gone about it in a stupid way because there's bound to be a ton of disappointed kids out there now with ripped and damaged capes.
