Finally got my hands on all of the new DC sets and they're fantastic! Two problems though. The super jumpers are terrible as everyone has mentioned before but you can just choose not to use them. The biggest problem however is the capes. They are unbelievably fragile and I was struggling to not rip them during the build. I understand Lego want them more bendy and soft so kids can put them into cars etc, but they've gone about it in a stupid way because there's bound to be a ton of disappointed kids out there now with ripped and damaged capes.

I think the solution to this would be for LEGO to laminate the top of the capes around the peg holes. This way the Cape will look just as they do now but be stronger around connection.

Hey, would someone be able to take a picture of captain cold with a white hood on? I just wanted to see how good or how bad it looks.

I don't have the physical parts, but you can get an idea from this (quickly and admittedly poorly done) digital render:

Personally though, I HATE Cap's New 52 design.

The face does not match the new design in the slightest.

I bought the Darkseid set and 5 CMFs for the Flower Cart promo, and I'm about to start building the set!

That's good. How many more do you need to get yet?

Personally though, I HATE Cap's New 52 design.

I hate his New 52 version too. Also, what do you use to make these custom figure pictures?

Just finished DI, and I just love it! The amount of play features on the Javelin is impressive, and it's just so satisfying to bladt open the back doors and catapult Supes away on the jumper (with trans studs added). Darkseid and his thingy are okay, but the bigfig arms are too large or muscle-bound for him. Now I just have to get the Grodd set!

While technically correct that it is the most common hand color, "literally" literally means true or, *sigh* literally translated, "to the letter", usually for something implausible or abstract. "There were literally over 5000 stud pieces in my spare parts bucket".:laugh:

Not to make this a big deal, but the word "literally", according to Webster's, now also means the exact opposite, as most people use it for hyperbole. Basically, the word means itself and its opposite, and therefore it means nothing at all.

I've been checking at my local Wal-Mart (West Virginia, America) and so far there's still nothing. It looks they're about to put them up, though, as the Lego aisle's getting more and more bare, particularly the DC stuff, so it shouldn't be long. Y'know, if anyone was wondering.

I'm pretty positive that I'll be doing anything I can to avoid the new capes. Supergirl, Superman, and Batman should be easy to avoid, but Martian Manhunter's going to be a pain.

I got the Green Lantern set today! It's really nice!

Though the Super Jumper - I can't get the minifigure on there, but if I turn him backwards I can. ??

Although I very much like the new capes, if you are looking to avoid Martian Manhunter's cape, you could use the cape from the promo Manhunter minifig along with the top part from the new set. Speaking of the new set, I really like the Brainiac Attack set. The figures are great (having the villain from the video game is perfect) and I think the Skull Ship is my favorite ship in the super heroes line.

You gotta push really hard, but if you slide it in too hard it's gonna be damaged.

Still can't quite get them in. I'm using a spare pair of legs, just in case.

EDIT: Ow, that hurt my fingers a bit. Got him in! Shouldn't take so much force, though, they should fix that. :look: Took him out (quite a bit of pulling) and the legs were indeed damaged a bit. Looks like I'm not using this, then. Don't then usually test these things before releasing them?

We had a discussion about this WAY back. The legs on the figs cracked and everything, and we sent an email to TLG saying what's going on.

There's a few on flickr. (Like these) :classic:

Great pictures. It makes me a little glad to have the thicker capes though. Batman's neck looks ridiculously thin with that new cowl on, I actually like that the cape covers that up.

Is the collar the same material as the new capes?

Hey after watching Will Arnett, Chris Miller, and Phil Lord talk about the Lego Batman movie and the possibility of having other Batmans be in the movie like Adam West, Michael Keaten, and Kevin Conroy being in the movie. I thought I'm sure with the release of the movie we could see alot of sets based off it and maybe even it getting its own videogame too! TLG would get the best of both worlds making Batman products and at the same time other DC sets which could be based off the Wonder Woman movie and Justice League movie.

(I know its a long ways away don't kill me people)

Not as far as I can tell. It's nowhere near as flimsy as the new material. It has to be somewhat stiff to keep its shape.

This probably belongs in separate discussion. I hope we also get some really obscure villains there (Killer Moth, Polka-Dot-Man, Kiteman) as well as some more of the classic Batman villains. Really would be awesome if the movies plot was all the villains in the different Batman universes (Comic, 1960's, Burton, Schumacher, Nolan, and DCCU) team up to take down the combined force of all those universes and others (Zur-En-Arrh, Dark Knight Returns, Rainbow, Darkest Night, Brightest Day, Brave and the Bold, and DCAU) Batmans (what's more awesome than a team of Batmans?).

That's good. How many more do you need to get yet?

For that I just used Microsoft Powerpoint's formatting options to put the hood from Taskmaster on Captain Cold and recolor the arms. I have in the past used Microsoft Paint and LDD2Povray (which was really amazing, but my computer ended up doing some self-updating and I can't get that to work anymore :hmpf_bad:).

Anyone else having an error where when they are on this page they are just suddenly redirected to some random health website?

Henry Cavill has debunked the "Batman v Superman being two parts" rumor today. So unless he hasn't gotten the info from Warner Brothers, we won't be having a 2015 wave of sets for the rumored "Enter the Knight."
