Felkin Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 For me the issue will be the minifigs. I see why TLG puts so many named ones in, but do we need another Penguin and Ivy (especially if they are like the ones from Arkham)? I'm assuming that, since some (or all) of 2016's DC sets will be based on the Batman v Superman movie, TLG is getting as many classic Batman comic-style minifigs as possible onto the market to tide us over until 2017, especially since Arkham Asylum is no longer available via S@H (in the UK at least, dunno if it's sold out everywhere). Mr_KnowItAll_JD23 Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Yeah, I don't really care if he has armor, but it'd be easy enough to take off. I really just want him to have a helmet (and classic look). I'd like a helmet for him too and his original look but I don't want it to be too big. I don't like how iron man's helmet looks. That looks to big for me. If Deathstroke has a helmet and it is that large I think armor would kinda even out the size of his head to the size of his body, but that's just my opinion. Though, Deathstroke is Deathstroke so it doesn't really matter what he'll look like for me . Quote

The one in the game looks good to me; but, yeah, I agree, I don't want them to do what they did to Ironman and give him a monstrous helmet. Lol, yeah Deathstroke is one of the few character (yes, Raven and Captain Boomerang are two of the others) for me where they could make him/her look awful and I'd still buy the set just because I have to have that character. psqidexslizer248 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Yeah same for me. Hopefully we'll get the other 2 soon. Captain Boomerang seems like a given for next year and Raven is too popular a character (there was ALOT of requests for Raven on the Lego Batman 3 twitter page during the countdown reveals; no way Lego isn't going to notice that) to pass up for too long. Yeah that's true but, next year BvS sets will be out. Where will Lego fit another JL wave? Quote
Zergos Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Yeah that's true but, next year BvS sets will be out. Where will Lego fit another JL wave? Possibly in summer of 2016, as they will most likely do the BvS sets in winter. Unless of course there's only 1 wave next year. Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Yeah that's true but, next year BvS sets will be out. Where will Lego fit another JL wave? They'll probably fit in another wave (not necessarily another JL one) the same way that Marvel is fitting in sets for Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, and Ultimate Spider-Man this year. If DC is doing two waves (well, more like one and a half...) without a movie now, there will probably be at least a couple sets for comics, cartoons, and/or Suicide Squad next year. Quote
mattdev25 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 and/or Suicide Squad next year. I doubt they'd do Suicide Squad after the Squad DLC. Probably just some comic based sets. Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I doubt they'd do Suicide Squad after the Squad DLC. Probably just some comic based sets. It probably depends on what LEGO's contract with WB is like and how much of a say they have in what LEGO does or does not do. Anyway, the possibility that we won't get Suicide Squad sets is why I included the "and/or." Quote
Mr_KnowItAll_JD23 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Is it just me, or does the Alfred from Be-leaguered: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/4qVTcebiboE/hqdefault.jpg look like the Alfred from the Cuusoo Wayne Manor set currently in review: https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/76348399@N08/12185229576/in/set-72157637701462106/ ? TheBatstan Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Or the fact that the LB3 Red Hood looks almost identical to the Wayne Manor minifigure? Edited January 26, 2015 by TDKR2012 Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Probably because it looks like the LB2 minifigure, and the designers just copied that. Quote
mattdev25 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Or...it's a sign. adotnamedstud Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Or...it's a sign. Or...It's LEGO using a design that is featured in many comic designs and customizers also use that design. Or Under the Red Hood figs. People love that movie/book so, that's also a potential for design. Really, nothing would surprise me with a Red Hood design or an Alfred design. No matter how plain or boring really. People are still going to complain. Quote

And I mean, I'm glad that the idea for having that headpiece for Alfred was brought up. It looks good. Alfred is an important character in Batman comics and I'm surprised that Lego hasn't made a newer version of him. Quote

Haha. I agree, it is a very cool set. Might be just a tad too big to keep it the way it is, though. They would have to make it a little smaller in order to mass produce it, IMO. I'd buy it just for the Manor half. Edited January 26, 2015 by Mr_KnowItAll_JD23 Quote

It would be amazing if that Wayne Manor idea gets approved, even it we only get the Manor itself without the cave. And the proposed minifigures are definitely must haves. Quote

MarvinM Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Hi, I'm new to the forum. Well, I was checking out the prelims of the jokerland set and it seems that a while back someone mentioned that poison ivy had a new hair piece (meaning possible new look printing wise) that looked like the one for Miss Swann from PotC. On the box art it looks like poison Ivy has her old hair mold and Starfire is the one with the previously stated hair piece. Just wanted to see if anyone noticed this. I mean, like all of you I at least hope the villains will get new looks to atleast make the set more worth-while (specially excited for the possible new 52 or Arkham Harley with the new hair mold from the minifigure series 14 zombie cheerleader ) but... anything is possible and we might still get the same Ivy figure from the old sets Quote

Yes, we have noticed it; The Kid, who reported this information, had accidentally mistaken Starfire for a new Ivy (and she really does look like what I'd expect a new Ivy to look like). Well, all we can do is hope (and get our rants ready for Wednesday ). Edited January 27, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 We're hoping not. Ivy/Starfire was an early confusion, but at the London Toy Fair, the figures were not finished, and were not shown on the packaging. The preliminary pictures were made some time ago and use placeholders, like Hulk and Green Goblin standing in for Darkseid and Gorilla Grodd for the last wave's prelims. I'm confident they'll be different. For Harley, I'm positive (I mean, we have that hair now). Quote

But we don't exactly have any official confirmation yet that they will be different (remember the new 52 Superman we were pretty much sure we were getting by the MoS placeholder minifigures). Quote
