Robianco Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 DEFINITELY getting Jokerland. Beast Boy and Starfire look awesome, the new Robin is killer, I'd like the classic Penguin design here instead of just the one from the Batski, I love the new Batmobile, the build isn't bad, Harley's a little disappointing but I can work with it, and I think they gave Beast Boy an animal to turn into! (Behind him, it's a bird, right?) I think that's the Arkham Penguin isn't it? You didn't mean the one from the Penguin Face Off set with the fur collar did you? Quote

8BrickMario Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) I'm still crossing my fingers on Harley. That hat really makes her look awful, never mind the inaccuracy. I understand why New 52 Harley doesn't wear a hat now, because it doesn't look good on the new costume. Everything else looks perfect. The only way I would excuse LEGO for not using the pigtails hair in red and black is that they couldn't make it work. But if Two-Face can have two-color hair, why can't Harley? I'll hold out a tiny bit of hope that there will be a hairpiece for her by the time the set's in stores, but it worries me that it wasn't shown if she does have it. ...But when I said that a prelim image would usually contain prototypes for new molds (citing Drillex's gauntlets)...the Zombie Cheerleader's hair wasn't on the Jokerland box. Harley's hat was. Taking another look at Jokerland: Beast Boy looks sort of evil, doesn't he? Starfire still looks excellent. It's the cartoon design without the annoying gigantic animesque eyes! That magenta hair is really nice, too. I like the acid-splash stickers on the vat at Jokerland. And the signs for the villains' attractions. Yes, I am praising the stickers. Joker's face looks slightly different. The new Batmobile's cab looks nice, but it's still quite similar to the 2006 and 2012 ones. I'm going to get both sets no matter what, but seeing them here has made me warm up to them quite a bit. Edited February 14, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 The Robin in the Batboat is new 52 Dick Grayson. http://24.media.tumb...68ixo5_1280.jpg The Robin in Jokerland is new 52 Jason Todd. First ever. http://static.comicv...2601036-jdc.jpg So now we have all the Robins in their Robin costumes, we still need Red Hood and Red Robin. Are you sure that's not Teen Titans Robin? It still looks like he's got the three straps, just closer together at the top like TT Robin. The belt's the same too, from what I can see. The mask is definitely black, too, plus he's in a set with two other Titans with designs from the show. He'd be easy to customize to be the New 52 Jason, though. I think that's the Arkham Penguin isn't it? You didn't mean the one from the Penguin Face Off set with the fur collar did you? I didn't manage to get Arkham so I've got the Face Off Penguin. He's not bad, but I'd prefer the more traditional design. Quote
TheBatstan Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111018220101/teentitans/images/2/23/Robin-robin-11302112-431-500.gif Yeah that Robin is definitely from TT. And with a simple adding of a normal black cape you can also have a 90s Tim Drake Robin as well. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Sadly it's a snake. Yeah, in the other picture that's much more obvious. Darn. So BB's stuck turning into a snake or a frog or a crocodile, since those are basically the only solid green animals Lego's made thus far. Here's hoping they put him in another set sometime soon with a dinosaur or a gorilla. Quote
The Lego Nolan Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I think that beast boy has three different faces. One appears to be sick with a squiggly mouthas seen on penguins ride, there is one with a tooth sticking out, and the one where he's showing all his teeth b Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I'm getting really sick of Penguin using ducks. Sure he has a thing for birds in general, but it's primarily penguins. Three sets he's been in in this theme and the two times he's actually had a build associated with him it's duck-themed. I'd be okay even if they just made those ducks black and white. Just something, man. Quote

Numbuh1Nerd Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Marginally unrelated question: is it just me, or does the kid in the Jurassic World sets have bendable short legs? We haven't gotten a single clear view of the Penguin waist-down, could he have legs like that?? I think that beast boy has three different faces. One appears to be sick with a squiggly mouthas seen on penguins ride, there is one with a tooth sticking out, and the one where he's showing all his teeth b I can't get a clear enough view to tell. If you're right, though, that would be wicked! Edited February 14, 2015 by Numbuh1Nerd Quote
Robianco Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 He's definitely sitting down in the pod but it kind of looks like his leg length is 2 studs which would make him normal minifig height. I'd have thought he'd be smaller but you never know... the bendable short legs have been around for a while from their party manufacturers and they're just a bit taller than regular small legs... it'd be an interesting choice for Lego to start using them. Maybe the tooth-sticking out face is the same as the squiggly-mouth face? Quote

His feet in the pod look a little closer to him than usual (here) And the legs look a bit shorter here but there's no clear point of reference. 8BrickMario Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I know it's possible because SDCC bizarro has three faces so it's possible. No. Bizarro has two faces, one angry, one sad. There's just not enough space on a minifigure head (nor has the technology adjusted) to allow for three faces to be printed on it, not mentioning that it wouldn't work with headgear. Bizarro also has only one head, so no, three-faced minifigures do not exist and are not possible. Quote
legofanatic12 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Finally a Teen Titans Go Starfire and Beast Boy. And a new Harley Quinn supposed to have a hairpiece. Quote
Robert8 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 The Brick Show has a mini video of Jockerland: Quote
K-Nut Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Might pass on the Deathstroke set seeing as I got Christo's custom a few years back. However, that is an awesome Robin variant, so that'll have to be picked up sometime by me. Jokerland looks a bit better with a few minor changes, but I always assumed I would be getting it. Nice to see different variants for most of the figures (I still hate that Poison Ivy though), and the boots an BB and Batman look great too. Quote
Cammo Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Are there pictures of the Batman printed boots yet? Quote

MarvinM Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 How come on the Jokerland set batman gets boot printing, but on the bat boat he has the old dark grey legs? Quote
Mr_KnowItAll_JD23 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 OMG I JUST SAW THE PICTURES AND I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THESE SETS. Quote
Ceroknight Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Both sets look absolutely amazing! Quote

Zergos Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Welp, I'm kinda sad they didn't use red robin in either set... But I will for sure bricklink beast boy, starfire, and deathstroke to complete my teen titans and all that. Quote
