Numbuh1Nerd Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Before we saw pics, I was hoping Hatter would be in the set with a spinning teacups ride, how perfect would that be? That would've been great! You can tell they were more focused on rides that would take vertical space rather than horizontal, though. Hopefully it won't be long before we see the Hatter, though. I wouldn't be surprised that Lego gave Harley new prints on the torso and legs for the sake of adding an extra reason to buy the set and also to make it a bit cheaper for them to make a more accurate figure down the line. I doubt that they'd give her the hat all over the box and still include another hairpiece. Quote
psqidexslizer248 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) I have no intention of purchasing the Jokerland set, but I decided to list the things I would like to see in the set, to make it more apealing: *New 52 Harley with accurate hair *Stephanie Brown Robin *An alternate Joker design *A Joker henchman *and a riddler booth with the ridler. *My biggest complaint about this Harley is that her face looks like a zombie - I don't think the hair would help. *Oh man, yes I want a Stephanie Brown Robin sooo bad, but not in place of a TT Robin (the best Robin ever IMO). *I still like the 2012 one. *I'm bummed enough we didn't get Raven as it is, throwing in a Henchman when we don't have her won't help. *No, too similar to the last set. My list for things to make Jokerland better: *Raven *Mirror Master with a house of mirrors instead of Canviore Fall *Raven *Mad Hatter Teacups instead of Penguin Ducks of Doom *Raven *Black steel-toed boots for Robin *Raven *a better designed Beast Boy *Raven *Red hair for Starfire *Raven *Better Harley Quinn *Raven Agreed with Harley. I prefer the TTG Robin to Stephanie (who I preferred in her multiple other heroic roles) and a new Joker would have been nice, instead of a mix between the 2012 and Steam Roller versions. I don't think the Riddler nor a booth for him needed to be in this set, since both were in the Funhouse. I would have appreciated a new Poison Ivy (in Spring Green), the hair on Harley (it exists-aargh! Why not use it?!?!) and perhaps a slightly different Penguin or a Scarecrow attraction. Or no Penguin or Scarecrow of Ivy at all but instead two new characters. Before we saw pics, I was hoping Hatter would be in the set with a spinning teacups ride, how perfect would that be? There's probably licensing issues with a Tea Cups ride, because why not. But if not, it would have been perfect! That would've been great! You can tell they were more focused on rides that would take vertical space rather than horizontal, though. Hopefully it won't be long before we see the Hatter, though. I doubt that they'd give her the hat all over the box and still include another hairpiece. Yeah, I wish Lego would stop focusing on the same five Batman villians (Riddler, Penguin, Joker, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy) and just give us some new ones already. I mean, Ra's Al Ghul is a pretty big villain but he's nowhere to be seen. Red hood, Firefly, Killer Croc, Mad Hatter, and Clayface are all big enough names to deserve minifigures too. TheLegoExperience Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Anybody else think the figures from the Jokerland set will be $20 each? Because so far I've only gotten one set over $100 (Arkham), and the build isn't good enough for me to justify buying it. Quote
Steph 104th Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I think one of the resaons behind us not getting a Raven is her less than conservative New52 design Quote
8BrickMario Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 So? Starfire has a revealing outfit. Harley has a revealing 52 outfit. LEGO doesn't let that stop them. They used the TTG design for Starfire, and made Harley's look more like an acrobat suit by covering her stomach. I'm sure they'd find a way to make Raven a bit more modest. Quote
psqidexslizer248 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) ^ You mean like basing Raven on her Teen Titans Go design (which would be amazing). Yeah, I don't think the New 52 design being less conservative has to do with us not getting her. It's likely the high number of figures in the Jokerland set kept us from getting her in it. And because she's such a fan favorite, they just slipped her in a polybag knowing it would sell (this last part is just me daydreaming). Edited February 16, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote
jtslimshady Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Before we saw pics, I was hoping Hatter would be in the set with a spinning teacups ride, how perfect would that be? They will probably release that next winter for you to add on to the Jokerland set. Just like the two ships that fit together from star wars rebels or something like that. Quote
8BrickMario Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) That would be great, but LEGO rarely releases expansion sets explicitly designed to go with previous sets. If Jokerland is a big seller, then it's entirely possible to get a set with Hatter and spinning teacups and Raven (because Jokerland's a set with the Titans in it) in the future. I just hope that if Harley doesn't turn out to have the pigtails in the set that it means she will be in a cheaper set with them. Because I still don't feel like letting LEGO off the hook. What I'm saying is, cross your fingers that Jokerland's popular, because it could lead to Raven! (Darn it, psqid, now you got me wanting her too!) Edited February 16, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote

Mr_KnowItAll_JD23 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I guess that would be a bit more civil than a full out AFOL revolt, wouldn't it. Probably . But that's the problem, Lego won't listen to a petition. I'd sooner do a revolt . Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Yes, a Raven revolution......who's with us ? Now I actually feel that Beast Boy is perfectly fine in that shade of green......this is not a set for Teen Titans Go where he is a lighter shade of green. Quote

Yeah, but the problem with revolting is that Lego would get back at us for revolting by making Raven an SDCC exclusive . Or even two ! Yes, a Raven revolution......who's with us ? Now I actually feel that Beast Boy is perfectly fine in that shade of green......this is not a set for Teen Titans Go where he is a lighter shade of green. Can I be the father of this revolution? Yeah, I just like to nitpick (and complain about Lego's lack of Raven). Edited February 16, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote

psqidexslizer248 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 that would be horrible! Well, there's only one solution: two revolts. One for Raven and the other for the end of SDCC exclusive figures. Quote

psqidexslizer248 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 They better not make her an exclusive . I honestly don't think Lego is dumb enough to disappoint a boat-load (and I'm talking a huge boat) of their fans by making one of the most popular super heroes a SDCC exclusive... at least, not again anyway. 8BrickMario Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I hope not. But there's nothing saying she can't be an SDCC exclusive...she doesn't require any new parts... I'm tempted to start a Harley's Pigtails revolution myself... Quote

I'm tempted to start a Harley's Pigtails revolution myself... And there's nothing saying she couldn't pop up in a polybag like Rocket Raccoon. Let's try to look at this optimistically, ok. Good idea. You know, at this rate, we'll be revolting for something as simple as Batman's nose being less pointy by next week. Edited February 16, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 If we get Raven, she'd probably match her design from the Lego Batman 3 DLC. Which would mean a new color hood, entirely new prints all around, and most likely another batch of multi-colored arms. Teen Titans Raven would be just about as bad. I'd say they left her out due to costs. She is a fan favorite though, and Lego is aware (how could they not be after we all attacked them on Twitter about her at the reveal of every new LB3 character?). I'm sure we'll see her somewhere within the range of a year. Quote

I'm sure we'll see her somewhere within the range of a year. I think they'd go with her Teen Titans Go/Teen Titans design, just because it's more recognizable. But yeah, both would require new colors, leg printing and either multicolored arms or legs. I'm thinking the (only) way we'll get her this year is if they pull another Rocket Raccoon and release her in an exclusive SDCC set (a scaled down Titans Tower would work nicely) and then in a polybag later this year. If you think about it, they both share a few similarities: he had multicolored legs, pieces in new colors, and arm and leg printing, all things that Raven will need, plus he was (arguably) essential for completing the team (sound familiar). I'm sensing a theme here.... Move over Batman, we have a new "World's Greatest Detective". Edited February 17, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote
Legoman123 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Mad Hatter, Ventriloquist & Scarface, Riddler or Black Mask would have made the Jokerland set so much better. Quote
