Zilcho Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Does anyone know any good alternatives for Captain Cold's freeze gun? I don't reaaly like the one that is built in the set. Quote

Douglas_Jon Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Is it possible that the skipped codes are just for unannounced Polybags? (Although I think they run on a different code system?) Quote

just2good Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I've been saying it from the start, but all those skipped sets are the Batman V Superman numbers. Remember, they supposedly started designing the sets last year and had to push it back. Quote

Why wouldn't Lego change the numbers when they postponed the sets? Wouldn't DC want to promote this movie with more than just two sets? I'm not saying your explanation is wrong though, it actually makes more sense than anything I've read so far, just trying to figure this thing out. Watch, we're hurting our brains trying to figure this out (well, I am anyway) and someone at Lego just forgot how to count. Edited February 19, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote

Remember, they supposedly started designing the sets last year and had to push it back. Aren't there only two skipped set numbers, though? Would we only be getting two sets from possibly the most important movie DC's yet to release? And wouldn't they renumber those sets if they were just gonna put them on the backburner, that way we wouldn't know how many BvS sets we're getting? Wait, wouldn't they be in a row then, instead of nine set numbers off from each other? Why wouldn't Lego change the numbers when they postponed the sets? Numbuh1Nerd Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 A post on Green Lantern's Facebook page with a screenshot of Bizarro League made me think: y'know what would make for a great SDCC exclusive figure? Guy Gardner with his "Vote for Lex" sticker. Con-goers get a recognizable character that would be just as rare, while everyone else gets their regular Guy Gardner. Heck, they'd even save money! Instead of having to make new prints all over the place or new colors for parts, they'd just have to slightly modify an existing print and they're done! It'd be perfect! Quote

WarSquirrel Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 (edited) I'm thinking the skipped number is for the minifigure cube with lightning lad we're getting later this year Thats possible but the first minifigure cube's number is 5004076 so its unlikely that the second cube is 76033 Edited February 19, 2015 by WarSquirrel Quote
Fightingswords Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 (edited) Hmm. That's interesting. Then what color are LEGO using for her skin? I was trying to guess what the Super Jumper gimmick in Jokerland is. It can only be one of two things, though, judging by the play features: 1. The jumping figure knocks Robin down from under Harley's bike or 2. The jumping figure tips back the sign and plant on the free fall to lower Starfire to the ground. As for the Batboat, no clue what the Jumper's for. I've noticed there are a lot of pink pieces in the clown's mouth, including a door frame. I think it's sort of hilarious that everyone complains about Friends being too pink and girly, while the first pink LEGO door frame is in a DC set... 1.hit sign and Launches Harley's bike 2. Obit the sign and ivy's ride falls 3. Joker's, Hit sign and send someone down the slide into the toxic vat. 4 no launcher play with the Penguin's ducks. As for the batboat jumper, there is a mobile crime lab in the center of the boat that flips up to be revealed and if u hit the radar dish it explodes I believe. 8BrickMario Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 On Brickset, someone speculated that they're going to use the pigtails on a Suicide Squad version of Harley. I don't think they would make sets for the movie, though, due to branding issues. Of course, I'm just hoping that the piece means a third version of New 52 Harley (with the proper hair) is upcoming. Maybe it'll be the red/blue version (similar to the LB3 one)? Quote

psqidexslizer248 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Another thing I found odd this year is that we haven't seen a Bizzaro. I mean, I would have thought Lego would use that Bizzaro League movie to sell some more sets. I'm just hoping they're not saving the hairpiece for the summer-event-that-must-not-be-named (also known as "the best way to make a LEGO collector feel pain"). Well, that does sound like something they would do. Quote

If those missing set numbers are unrevealed DC sets for the next winter wave, it's always possible we'll see Bizarro (or Raven). Next to GL, he has to be the most desired SDDC figure that people want for set release. It would make sense, too, so casual consumers could put Batzarro and Bizarro together. Quote

Robianco Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 My DVD arrived today from the U.S. Amazon today so Batzarro is safely in my possession. I must admit the prospect of which figure will make it to the 'event which must not be named' is a worrying one... Especially as we've had a wider range of characters over the last wave or so. I'm worried the Julie Newmar Catwoman will be chosen. At least our 'Chinese cousins who shall not be named' will bootleg the figures within a month of the event! Quote
8BrickMario Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 (edited) Please. Don't ruin it! (Honestly, though, I can't see them designing a new piece for a character who would only wind up as an exclusive that no one could get. I think a Newmar Catwoman is more likely to be a Juniors figure like classic Green Goblin. Both of their headgear pieces were used in CMF series, and both are difficult for LEGO to make in the mainstream sets (Newmar because she doesn't fit, Goblin because Marvel/Disney wants USM sets). Although if Jokerland means anything, that hairpiece wasn't for a Catwoman fig at all! "Silly fans! Thinking we're going to use the perfect piece on a character who would look great with it!" Robianco Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Ha... I know. I really hope it isn't... and your logic is pretty good in what kind of set it should be in. Batman 66 is a pretty good and well reviewed comic so I can see where the 66 Batmobile influence came from. With the figures from the SDCC bat mobile being those included in the Juniors Batcave we can assume that was kind of considered a '66 set (for arguments sake). With that in mind it would make sense for a Newmar Catwoman to be included in a Juniors set. If I wanted to think of a new character they could include in that set so it was maybe 2 baddies against Batman then King Tut might come to mind... he's the main villain in the second trade paperback of the 66 series... He would be a camp enough villain that he wouldn't really fit anywhere else either and they've certainly got enough Egyptian style moulds for him to work without creating anything new. This may turn out to be nothing more than just wishful thinking but you never know. Quote
TheBigRedCheese Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 (edited) Does anybody know what retailer has the new minifigure box set, the one with Lightning Lad, and whether or not it is yet available or still available? I tried to look for it online, and got a bunch of confusing information. Edited February 19, 2015 by TheBigRedCheese Quote
8BrickMario Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 It will be sold in Target like the last one, and it seems like a summer release. Quote
psqidexslizer248 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Personally, I like the idea of a Julie Newmar Catwoman SDCC exclusive; it's much better to have an already released character in a variant that I couldn't care less about rather than having some highly desirable character who hasn't been released yet in a variant that I really want. I seem to be in the minority, though. Quote
