psqidexslizer248 Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 (edited) I think that the next few comic sets should go away from the movie sets, there's quite a bit of content we all are dying to get and I think if LEGO does that, it'll be good. I personally don't want BvS sets, Suicide Squad set(s) ((Hopefully!)), and Batman or Superman revolved comic sets. I think LEGO could make some independent Flash sets. As DC is currently feeling the love for The Flash right now and hopefully will still be getting that notice in such a regard that LEGO makes other sets. We've all had perfect ideas for sets, now just to see what LEGO decides to do. It's just the DCCU (DC Cinematic Universe) Oh man, YES!!! I would take comic based Flash sets over those any day, ever. The Flash is doing phenomenal on television (9.9/10 rating on imbd for that last episode); I would love if DC notices and shows a bit more confidence with the character by giving him his own sets, even if it were only 1 or 2 (as long as we get Reverse Flash, Heatwave, Mirror Master, Weather Wizard, Captain Boomerang, and Pied Piper, I'm happy). I think the DCCCU is a better name quite frankly, or better yet the DCCCCCC (DC Comics Crazy Cool Cinematic Collection) . Edited March 21, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote
Cammo Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Any idea how long The Tumbler will remain in stores/L@H? Quote
sander1992 Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I think till end next year. Arkham Asylum was in the stores for two years. Quote
BrickSev Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Anytime soon? Slim to nil. The current set is already the second-lowest price point for Super Heroes sets anyway, so I'd recommend you go ahead and get it. I don't anticipate a smaller GL set happening until he's in a movie. I agree. The chances to get GL in another small set are very low. I strongly suggest to buy the current set. It's not expensive and it's a very cool one. A must have for all Lego DC fans, in my opinion Quote
Master_Data Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 What are the chances (given where DC is going and which characters its focusing on) that Green Lantern will appear in a smaller set anytime soon? Or should I just go ahead and buy the current Green Lantern set now before it disappears? If you just want GL, order him from Bricks and Pieces. He's only about $3-4. Quote
jonwil Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I thought you couldn't buy licensed parts like that from Bricks & Pieces... In any case I ended picking up the Green Lantern set at a local store that was having a 20% off sale. Not too bad for the green lantern fig, an interesting Batman variant (I have enough regular batmen but I dont have Space Batman) and a bunch of interesting parts in various shades of green and trans green :) Quote
Master_Data Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I thought you couldn't buy licensed parts like that from Bricks & Pieces... You can't, but LEGO accidentally allowed the purchase of all the licensed parts for the Winter 2015 DC Superheroes theme. They never got around to fixing it. They have Space Batman (minus the wings), GL, Sinestro, Scuba Robin, and part of Captain Cold in stock right now. Quote

You can actually buy Space Batman (with wings), Green Lantern, Sinestro, Cyborg, Hawkman (with wings), Green Arrow (No hood piece) and Scuba Robin. There are also parts such as Batman's new cowl, Wonder Woman's headpiece, Supergirl's legs, Brainiac's head, Captain Cold's head and his hood and various other parts to the DC wave including all but the head of the banana delivery driver. No bigfig parts though. The parts that are listed as out of stock were never actually in stock from the site. Funnily enough there were a lot of the recent SW wave also available. They didn't make the same mistake with the Marvel wave... except for Hulk's hands. Quote

Are you saying those are still available now in some manner? I checked yesterday and again today and all the pieces for Green Arrow, Cyborg (except for the helmet) and Hawkman were showing "Out of Stock" Quote

Should they be available through a different service or only to certain countries? Thank you Quote
Robianco Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 They're not on the Pick A Brick section... I'm in the UK... I just checked by putting my location as the US and they do show as out of stock but they're not to UK customers. Whoops! :) Quote

Yes, and they should totally have the rogues be new fifty two designs. But yes I do agree, we should have more Flash sets. After all, he is the best superhero, with the best rogue's gallery ever. :classic: Quote

I'd go with a close second best for both of those, after Batman (I'm a Batfan), but we've had plenty of Bats and his enemies (or at least the few we will ultimately be getting) so it's time to move onto the Flash IMO. FOR THE MOST PART, THEY LOOK AWFUL, SOME OF THEM (CAPTAIN COLD, TRICKSTER, GOLDEN GLIDER, AND HEATWAVE) LOOK WAY DORKIER THAN THE ORIGINAL ONES AND MOST OF THE OTHERS (CAPTAIN BOOMERANG, WEATHER WIZARD) ARE COMPLETELY BLAND AND UNINTERESTING, AND ALL OF THEM LOOK LITTLE TO NOTHING LIKE THE ORIGINAL CONCEPTS. OTHER THAN THAT, THERE WERE JUST POINTLESS CHANGES THAT DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO MAKE THEM LOOK ANY BETTER THAN THEY ALREADY DID (MIRROR MASTER AND PIED PIPER). PLUS THE SUPER POWERS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE - IT TOOK AWAY PART OF WHAT MADE THE ROGUES SPECIAL (A GANG OF NON POWERED THIEVES WIH SUPER WEAPONS FIGHTING A SUPER POWERED HERO). I KNOW CAPTAIN COLD EVENTUALLY LOST HIS POWERS AND PIED PIPER AND TRICKSTER NEVER GOT ANY, BUT I STILL HATE THAT THEY DID THAT. All just my opinion. Edited March 23, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote

I know, I know, I just can't understand how anyone can like what New 52 did to the Rogue. To me, it's like giving Batman a gun (I'm looking at you convergence suit), it's just not him for most people; same with the Rogues, the New 52 just isn't them for me. From what I've seen so far, I'd rank the suits like this: Classic > New 52 minus Rogues and Reverse Flash > Convergence minus Batman > New 52 Reverse Flash and Rogues minus Captain Cold > Convergence Batman > New 52 Captain Cold. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how they completely ruin the Rogues (again) during this convergence thing. Honestly, I'm LOVING the convergence Reverse Flash which was one of worst New 52 designs IMO so maybe there's hope? So many people have voiced their opinion I think if convergence does do such a thing that many of the forums past pages will be reduced to "moderator please delete" Too bad the moderators don't have the power to delete those designs from our minds. (I can already think of several designs I'd like gone that aren't convergence). Edited March 23, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote
VictorFrenchFries Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 There is a reason why LEGO made the figures as classics. But I prefer a combination, that way everybody is satisfied. Like how the new Spiderman set has classic Sandman, Ultimate Spiderman (from Disney) and Rhino from ASM2. Quote
BatZack Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I kinda like some of the rogues. Captain cold is too green arrow-y for my taste though. The rest are fine Quote
psqidexslizer248 Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) I kinda like some of the rogues. Captain cold is too green arrow-y for my taste though. The rest are fine I really like Captain Cold and the Rogues; Batman is sort of insane so his villains are mostly insane, Superman is very powerful and symbolizes freedom in a way so his villains are mostly powerful (politically, socially, and physically) and symbolize tyranny, it just makes for Flash who is witty and light hearted to have mostly witty and light hearted villians. (I mean, it would get pretty boring if all Batman's villains were insane, Superman's were all super powerful tyrants, and Flash's were all light hearted joke-crackers, but having most of them that way works out very well). Plus, just being a gang of self-proclaimed professional blue collar thieves who have a no kill policy, are loyal and trust each other, and aren't insane or power hungry but are in it for money for the most part makes them stand out amongst the other villains in comic books (and their non-new 52 costumes help with that last part). jasonwyngard Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 So does anyone think trickster might come in the new minifigure book that's coming out later this year? Quote
Sir Gareth Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 So does anyone think trickster might come in the new minifigure book that's coming out later this year? What book would that be? Quote
jasonwyngard Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 What book would that be? It's called Lego: I want that minifigure! It's supposed to be about rare minifigures. And it's the only one of the four new DK books to have an exclusive minfigure. I got the information from the brick fan. Quote
