It's called Lego: I want that minifigure! It's supposed to be about rare minifigures. And it's the only one of the four new DK books to have an exclusive minfigure. I got the information from the brick fan.

Oh, a book about all the SDCC exclusive figures we can't get; sounds fantastic. :hmpf_bad:

I don't why Trickster couldn't come with it, though I would have thought we'd see him in something more DC related (then again, most of the figures WILL be Super Heroes in that book, it seems).

I'm not a fan of new 52, especially the Joker (Warning the picture below is gross so don't open if your squeemish )

This is just gross

There are so many worse new 52 designs (especially the Rogues, Reverse Flash, Starfire, and Raven - all of which happen to be some of my favorite characters), even as horrible as this one is.

Reverse Flash is cool, and the Joker already got a new face. He looks pretty cool.

But it does't matter anymore because LEGO would never make that and because DC is rebooting everything again (hopefully for the better).

If by cool, you mean "looks like a 4 year old scribbled on a piece of paper with a red and black crayon" then sure he looks cool. I know, I know, it's just my opinion. I'll be quiet now (for about 2-3 seconds, so enjoy it while it lasts ).

Yeah, that Joker is way too gory for Lego form; no way we're getting it. Really hoping these convergence designs will be good too, but so far I doubt it (though IMO Reverse Flash is a huge improvement over the child-scribble new 52 one).

I really like Captain Cold and the Rogues; Batman is sort of insane so his villains are mostly insane, Superman is very powerful and symbolizes freedom in a way so his villains are mostly powerful (politically, socially, and physically) and symbolize tyranny, it just makes for Flash who is witty and light hearted to have mostly witty and light hearted villians. (I mean, it would get pretty boring if all Batman's villains were insane, Superman's were all super powerful tyrants, and Flash's were all light hearted joke-crackers, but having most of them that way works out very well). Plus, just being a gang of self-proclaimed professional blue collar thieves who have a no kill policy, are loyal and trust each other, and aren't insane or power hungry but are in it for money for the most part makes them stand out amongst the other villains in comic books (and their non-new 52 costumes help with that last part).

I meant the new 52 costumes

Ah, I thought you meant the characters themselves.

I don't mind New 52 Reverse Flash because it's a different character than the classic Reverse Flash (New 52 being Daniel West and classic being Eobard Thawne/Hunter Zolomon)

That is the one plus side I found.

DotF Joker, no. But his face grew back for Endgame. Not that his design is that different, though. It wouldn't justify a minifig.

I love the majority of the New 52 suits, but I have a respect for the classic looks. I'm fine with both. Honestly, the more costume variation in this theme the better. Everybody has their costume preferences, why not let people mix and match? For the longest time, I combined the Blue/Grey Batman parts with the Keaton-esque ones for a black and grey Batman, since I prefer that color scheme. We've got about 5 different Robins, which means we can make all of our favorite Robins. More variation is nice.

Nice, I ended up doing that with two of my Batmen too.

Thankfully Thawne is back in a much more faithful Reverse Flash suit, which I wouldn't mind a minifig of.

I still like the classic costume better (not a fan of the black) but it's definitely a huge improvement over the New 52. I'd be more than happy if we got this one (it's not like it would be too difficult to make into a classic one if I wanted to anyway).

Of course, it looks just like the one from the TV show, so that's a HUGE plus in my book (even if it doesn't quite top the classic).

*oh2*:damn: NO THEY ARE NOT!!!! FOR THE MOST PART, THEY LOOK AWFUL, SOME OF THEM (CAPTAIN COLD, TRICKSTER, GOLDEN GLIDER, AND HEATWAVE) LOOK WAY DORKIER THAN THE ORIGINAL ONES AND MOST OF THE OTHERS (CAPTAIN BOOMERANG, WEATHER WIZARD) ARE COMPLETELY BLAND AND UNINTERESTING, AND ALL OF THEM LOOK LITTLE TO NOTHING LIKE THE ORIGINAL CONCEPTS. OTHER THAN THAT, THERE WERE JUST POINTLESS CHANGES THAT DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO MAKE THEM LOOK ANY BETTER THAN THEY ALREADY DID (MIRROR MASTER AND PIED PIPER). PLUS THE SUPER POWERS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE - IT TOOK AWAY PART OF WHAT MADE THE ROGUES SPECIAL (A GANG OF NON POWERED THIEVES WIH SUPER WEAPONS FIGHTING A SUPER POWERED HERO). I KNOW CAPTAIN COLD EVENTUALLY LOST HIS POWERS AND PIED PIPER AND TRICKSTER NEVER GOT ANY, BUT I STILL HATE THAT THEY DID THAT.

All just my opinion.

Woah. What's funny is that Captain Cold is actually my favorite design out of the New 52 Rogues. I just think his old parka looks too goofy to ever be taken seriously. The new version is slick and just... cooler. It doesn't hurt that Manapul is such a great artist. I agree with you on Heatwave and the powers thing though. Heatwave just looks weird. The powers thing did however give Cold an interesting dilemma. Like you said, it's all a matter of opinion.

He has changed since then though.

His new look is a big improvement. It's no longer in your face. but rather the creepy Joker we all love. I'd like to see a Lego version of it.

Thankfully Thawne is back in a much more faithful Reverse Flash suit, which I wouldn't mind a minifig of.

I wouldn't think black lightning would work, but I actually really like the looks of it. Thawne is just great. Glad to see him back.

I still don't understand how a sleeveless hoodie is less goofy than a parka, to me it just looks dorky in a bad way (the classic was dorky in a good way). Wait, I said it was a matter of opinion? I really don't remember that (it just doesn't sound like me to me).

Yeah, it doesn't make too much sense (comic book logic I guess). Thawne is great, but then so are most mainstream Flash foes.

I think the black is actually a deep cherry red.

It doesn't look that way to me... Maybe if I increase the brightness on my screen?

Well if you look on the gloves and along his leg, you can see a deep shade of red.

I actually like the New 52 comics and designs and wishes that lego would model more off of them. *dodges rotten tomatoes and pebbles thrown by angry peers*

I know you're teasing him, but I'd love that. I think their New 52 designs are far better for the most part.

Oh I would too, I love the New 52 designs way more as well.

No, it's about unique figures. Nowhere in the description did it say it was focused on rare or exclusive figs. It's talking about the first double-sided head (Quirrell) and peg legs, not only the figs nobody will be able to get.

Oops, sorry I shouldn't have put exclusives. But do you think he'll come with it?

I think it makes more sense that he'd come with something DC specific, so I'd say he'll be with one of the mystery books we don't know about yet. That is, until we know what they are. It's not to say that he couldn't be in there, I'd say it's a good chance, but if there is a DC or Superheroes specific book, it's probably that one.

I guess I worded that oddly. You said it was your opinion and I was stating that it's just a matter of opinion. Fore example, you see it as a bad dorky, but I see it as modern and badass. I've never been a fan of the old design. Different strokes I guess.
