8BrickMario Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 No. The other preorders are all existing polybags and keychains. Quote
Ultron Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Are there any other exclusive game minifigs then the upcoming plastic man? No, if they released another exclusive fig with the game there would be huge backlash since that would force you to buy the game multiple times. Quote
rexusprime Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 @ultron I meant if there was a minif for Batman2 or so. Are there even exclusives minifigs (like S@H, games and books but not SDCC) besides MM, Plastic Man, Electro Batman and the Hulk? Quote
BrickG Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 This is one minifigure I do not care about missing. Plasticman? He sucks ;P. Wish I had Iron Patriot though. Quote

There is Jor-El which you could get after purchasing $75 worth of merchandise in March 2013, Iron Patriot with preordering Marvel Superheroes, Clark Kent for the Lego Batman DVD, and Lex Luthor as a preorder bonus with Lego Batman 2. CorneliusMurdock Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Plasticman? He sucks ;P. I think you're confusing him with Vacuum Man. Quote
rodrigotmnt Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 What if the Black Manta set is going to be based on the new DC movie Aquaman: Throne of Atlantis ? Quote
GuntherThePenguin Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 are you saying you want one like those tmnt villains? Haha I'm not sure what I'm saying, just that I don't think the traditional big fig would look very good. But I put my faith in Lego to do something awesome. Does anyone know what wave these sets are going to be? If it's the January wave, will we be getting pictures soon? Quote
8BrickMario Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 (edited) What if the Black Manta set is going to be based on the new DC movie Aquaman: Throne of Atlantis ? Unlikely. DC has shifted away from the cinematic universe unless the license asks them to make sets, or they really want to. The "Justice League" branding and basis on LB3 makes it likely that the designs will be from the game. And they usually make a whole wave for movies. And what??? There's a freakin' Aquaman movie? Edited August 17, 2014 by 8BrickMario Quote
Dharkan Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Plastic Man is wannabe Reed Richards. :P Jokes aside, he'd be a pretty good exclusive figure, I might get that. Quote
KCMatze Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I bought Christos Plastic Man, which is still way better then the official one we get with the game. But I pre-ordered it, of course :D I like the classic costume more though. I can post comparison pics when the game arrives if someone wants to see both figs next to each other. Quote

It's an animated TV movie, DC puts out a bunch of them each year. And I doubt Lego will be making sets based off an animated TV movie anyway. If any of those movies should be made into a set I think Assault on Arkham would be a far more likely choice. It's not as if there's a clamor for Aquaman right now... Regardless though it seems unlikely. Edited August 17, 2014 by strangely Quote
TheBatstan Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Well he is going to get a live action movie once the 9 Untitled DC films get names by the end of this month. Quote
Ashnflash Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I think if its based on the movie it might also include Ocean Master! Quote

It's not as if there's a clamor for Aquaman right now... Regardless though it seems unlikely. You are right that there's no chance they'd base the sets off these animated movies (Which are always direct to video, and not shown on TV); they just are not popular enough; at least not in comparison to TV shows or Lego's game itself as inspiration. Although I have to say sets based on Assault on Arkham are even more unlikely--I've not yet seen it, but apparently it's easily one of the most violent DC animated movies (Lately all the DC animated movies seem to be way more violent than they used to be; or frainkly need to be; by the way). We'll most likely get an Aquaman if we get Black Manta, although I'd doubt he would be different then the last one we got. --- But speaking of Plastic Man; why is there still no mention of him on Gamestop.com? Lego keeps throwing out that he's the pre-order fig for the game, but there's no mention whatsoever about it on Gamestop--I don't think it's a good idea to pre-order the game for Plastic Man until he is actually advertized on the site. I don't want to get ripped off somehow by ordering too soon...that very much seems like something Gamestop would do. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Yeah, Aquaman js his current 52 design, i doubt they'd change it. Though the hair isnt perfect. If the sets are real, and i firmly believe they are, for the Deep Sea i would say Aquaman(same) N52 Bats is a sub vs Black Manta with some underwater craft and Killer Croc, his design is to offical looking in the game, hes even got the moving mouth that the Dewback. And Rancor have, but the could have just not done that detail or the grey bands under his arm chains. Also something for them to fight over/rescue. I say four because every set so far that introduces a new big fig character has had four figs in the set Hulk , GG, Groot, Sentinel Quote
rodrigotmnt Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 About aquaman, another chance is that DC actually asked lego to make a set not directly based to the movie but a trick to kids. Well, a kid sees on Toysrus the new aquaman set and he buys it. The he sees the DVD and it reminds him the set he bought. So he buys the DVD. Win - Win. but it doesn't seems a lot like lego/ DC Quote

No offense but this is not a logical way of justification. They can just base it on Justice League: War not for the popularity but just for the sake of giving set a theme. I don't think Avengers Assemble was that popular but we got two sets from it so. You'll see when we get the pictures or more information from these sets. That Darkseid set is based on it, I'm sure of it. (Assault on Arkham is something else, there's no doubt we won't see anything based on it in LEGO) Quote

And also the Blackbird comes with 5 figs if you're including the sentinel. Also, there's no way we're getting a big fig Killer Croc this wave. 3 is way too many and will not happen. Killer Croc wouldn't really make sense either. Edited August 18, 2014 by Ultron Quote
DJ Bricks Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 those two are brick built big figs. Plus who said GG and Darkseid are going to be big figs, both of them can be done with normal figs. But I would choose Darkseid over Grodd. and why not Croc. I see to remember people clamoring for an AA like big fig in the past Quote

And it will just have the justice league logo akin to the xmen sets. Quote
Ashnflash Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 That Croc would be amazing with that mouth!!! Quote
