psqidexslizer248 Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 (edited) Alright, I am offically excited to see what these guys will look like (that hair is super). So, I'm guessing SDCC will be our first look at one of the sets (I'm betting the Batmobile). Edited June 10, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote
Douglas_Jon Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 That hairpiece is an odd choice, but I'm liking the variation. I'm quite surprised we haven't seen more figures considering the licensing expo. I'd be happy for Batman to stay the same as he has been in the last two waves, a nice new change on Superman is great, I'm thoroughly looking forward to seeing Wonder Woman and possibly Aquaman too. Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I thought that hair was new! I can't wait to see it unfiltered and in tact! I wonder how well a yellow version of that would work for Booster Gold? Quote
deskp Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Mmmmh great new hair. Shame supermans face isnt nnew and properly based on cavill. instead of keeping that comic style BS Quote
DJ Bricks Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Mmmmh great new hair. Shame supermans face isnt nnew and properly based on cavill. instead of keeping that comic style BS Um the MoS version had a Cavill head. Quote

I wonder how well a yellow version of that would work for Booster Gold? In an actual set it'd look amazing; as an SDCC excusive (yes, that's less than a month away) it'd look terrible. But, I think there might be other factors involved here . Edited June 10, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Okay, the new hair should definitely help, though I'm a bit worried that it'll look too big. I still hope Superman gets boots, too. Those two things should make the figure different enough from the last one to make it worthwhile. Not much to say about Batman, I guess, though I'm a little disappointed that his eyes will probably be white. It was expected, but kind of unfortunate. No stubble either. I like what I can see of the torso, but it's looking to be really similar to The New 52 version we have now. This is a good teaser though. I usually like LEGO-ized posters. I kind of hope we get one mimicking Wonder Woman's reveal soon.... Quote
Cagast Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Ooh I really hope this hair is real because it's plain amazing. Quote
deskp Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Um the MoS version had a Cavill head. Nope. they added some red eyes, but its the same superman from year before. Lego can do great likenesses, but their superman is not at all great. Lego is putting in a poor effort with their superhero face prints ignoring actor likenesses. Trying to do some comic-y style. Ooh I really hope this hair is real because it's plain amazing. It's real. Quote

I'd like to think that if they did Booster they'd give him Skeets, too, and I doubt they'd put an accessory like that in an exclusive. Legends of Tomorrow does feature Rip Hunter, Booster Gold's son, so perhaps if the show does well we could see him in a set within a year or two. Quote
KCMatze Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 The Batsymbol thickness still does not really appeal to me... but hey - more Batman variants, more money. And yeah...we all love to buy those anyways Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Mmmmh great new hair. Shame supermans face isnt nnew and properly based on cavill. instead of keeping that comic style BS I don't think it's too far off. Maybe if they made it look a little younger, got rid of the crows feet, that could help, but I think it works just fine. I'm mostly bothered by Batman's head not being any different. A bit of variation there would be very much appreciated, since no other head really works with that cowl. I don't mind the white eyes so much, since those are coming into play in the film at least for a short while. All in all, though, some stubble and a bit of a chin dimple would be appreciated. Quote
KCMatze Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 ^ This would be great, but I think the face he has is pretty fitting. And if it is not way off LEGO will keep an existing print. Quote
wesker Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I like the new hairpiece for Superman. Batman looks alright - a bit similar to the New 52 version and I'm not keen on the look of the Bat symbol (more an issue with the movie costume than the minifigure) Can't wait to see how Wonder Woman looks. KCMatze Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 (edited) Still not getting it...is that a new hairpiece or the old Robin / Gilderoy Lockhart hair? Edited June 10, 2015 by KCMatze Quote
Ashnflash Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Uhhhhhhh that looks like the hair piece Booster Gold had in LB3!!! Hopefully he's not an SDCC exclusive.... Quote

Uhhhhhhh that looks like the hair piece Booster Gold had in LB3!!! Hopefully he's not an SDCC exclusive.... There are several differences, so I wouldn't worry too much... yet. Though, it would be just about perfect for Booster Gold. I like the new hairpiece for Superman. Batman looks alright - a bit similar to the New 52 version and I'm not keen on the look of the Bat symbol (more an issue with the movie costume than the minifigure) Can't wait to see how Wonder Woman looks. DC released a picture of her last year during SDCC - I would definitly check it out . Oh god, don't even joke about that! Legends of Tomorrow does feature Rip Hunter, Booster Gold's son, so perhaps if the show does well we could see him in a set within a year or two. I really hope he doesn't end up being our SDCC exclusive this year. Edited June 10, 2015 by psqidexslizer248 Quote

But it will be great for alot of superheroes like AQUAMAN, no more mop head. Quote
TheBatstan Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Still not getting it...is that a new hairpiece or the old Robin / Gilderoy Lockhart hair? It's a new piece but that is a great idea for making a modern version of the 2006 Robin minifig. Quote

Unless you're Ant-Man, in which case LEGO will keep the print anyway It's not exactly the piece that Booster Gold had in LB3 (or the one Havok had in Lego Marvel) but it wouldn't be a bad substitute. BrickBob Studpants Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 (edited) Superman's new hairpiece in dark brown would be perfect for the 11th Doctor... a sign for things to come? Too bad his face doesn't appear to be new (and neither does Batman's), but oh well... Hopefully we'll at least get Alfred this time around, I really want a minifig representation of Jeremy Irons Edited June 10, 2015 by Lego-Freak Quote
