Anyway, remember in the 2013 wave (with aquaman and arkham) when they released the new cowl design for batman, and they started selling the previous sets from 2012 with the new cowl as well. I have two questions. 1. Are they going to be changing the cowl this wave. 2. If so, do you think they will sell old sets with the new cowl? Thanks guys! Hythonia Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Killer Frost, Captain Cold, Mr. Freeze...there needs to be a "Cold-Hearted Society of Villains" for them. Freeze is distinctive due to his tragic backstory and his handicapping body temperature. Cold is a guy with ice tech. Still, it would be great to see that CMF Eskimo parka in light blue. There was a Super Friends comic that had those three plus Icicle, Blue Snowman, and Minister Blizzard (the latter two of which are WW villains). Their villain group was the "Ice Pack." Blue Snowman's my personal favorite frosty villain. She's a stuttering school teacher who disguises herself as a fat dude in order to extort money from her town ("Fair Weather Valley"). Her later depictions have her more snowman-like and gadgety. Quote

Well, technically it was Dollmaker who cut off his face (and I personally found that really disturbing ) More back on topic, I'm wondering about how this Brainiac set will look. With four figs, it has to be more than just his ship that's included in all the promos. Maybe some interior backdrop akin to the Hulk Lab Smash and/or the Helicarrier. Quote

I think the New 52 did him a favor, personally, but his look is close enough to the classic one that you should be able to make a pretty easy custom classic one. Quote

At least it let them tell some non-Joker stories for awhile. I think the way they handled it was really great, though, the way he used it to prove his point about Bruce Wayne being a mask. Death of the Family is a pretty interesting read, btw. Not every chapter is gold but god, there's enough f'd-up Joker stuff in that book to last 3 more retcons and boy what a climax! Harley Quinn, Starfire, Raven, Green Arrow a little, and some others that I just can't remember at the moment. Everybody else made it out either much improved or not changed at all. Honestly though, I don't care quite as much about the costume as the character when it comes to what figures we get. Although Lego will most likely do a New 52 Captain cold it will be interresting to see if they do another version. Then we could get him with an ice gun or with ice piece shards that fit onto his hands, depending on what comics you read as it changed. I'd like to see what they do with the arms for the New 52 version myself. If it turns out bad I can just replace the arms anyway, so why not? Quote

I'm still hopeful there is a UCS-style Watchtower in there somewhere. I keep dreaming that the set name we've seen - "Brainiac's Attack" is short for "Brainiac's Attack on The Watchtower". If that's the case, here's hoping the initial figure report (4 figs) was well short of what is planned. Alternatively, I would be OK with someone suggested earlier: Brainiac's ship + the Batspaceship, It's fun to dream. Quote

I apologize for this, but to add insight, the writer who removed Joker's face left before DOTF, and that writer had to deal with a faceless Joker in any way he could. Quote
