Steph 104th Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 They could, if they wanted the kids playing with the figs to have nightmares. He is not child friendly, but then again we got a Heath Ledger Joker, who made pencils disappear using goons skulls. Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 He is not child friendly, but then again we got a Heath Ledger Joker, who made pencils disappear using goons skulls. That was in an adult targetted set, but even then, that's an action he performed, not part of the character design. The very appearance of faceless Joker is nightmarishely gnarly and disturbing. Ashnflash Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I personally like some of the New 52 designs, not Joker though thats just creepy. Riddler looks horrible. But as far as heroes go I think they are fine. For Captain Cold I use Doc Ock's head Quote
Jared Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Ice villains: http://www.adultswim.com/videos/robot-chicken/cold-villains :D Love this sketch. I personally like some of the New 52 designs, not Joker though thats just creepy. I'm not sure I do. I feel like them using those designs is forcibly by Warner. Ah well. I personally think they should've gone with the designs from Justice League: War (yes Superman looks the same, but hey, Flash and WW looked awesome!), or even Earth 2, contrary to popular thought, I think are pretty decently designed. Commissioner Gordon Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 thanks for all the replies. apparently there isn't too much of a difference between MR. freeze and captain cold, so why do we need both again? Quote
8BrickMario Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) thanks for all the replies. apparently there isn't too much of a difference between MR. freeze and captain cold, so why do we need both again? It fleshes out the LEGO DCU. And Cold isn't necessarily a clone of Freeze, but I could pass on him, too. Edited September 1, 2014 by 8BrickMario Quote
Sam892 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 thanks for all the replies. apparently there isn't too much of a difference between MR. freeze and captain cold, so why do we need both again? In terms of powers there isn't much difference, in terms of character they differ a lot. Captain Cold is the leader of the Rouges, who are a team comprised of flash villains. The Rouges mainly perform guests but what separates them from other villains are their rules. No rouge gets left behind, it's all about the score and no innocents die. The fact that they usually don't kill separates Cold from Freeze. Captain Cold is usually show to be one of the main members of the Legion of Doom as well. Quote
TheBuoyWonder Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) Mr Freeze and Captain Cold are VERY different in all aspects apart from the fact that they are both ice based villains. Plus, in mini figure form all that matters is their appearance which again is very different. Edited September 1, 2014 by TheBuoyWonder Quote
Legoman123 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I don't really know if you can class Mr.Freeze as a villain if you know what I mean. Quote
8BrickMario Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 He's misguided, but we've gone off topic here. What do you think Cold will look like? I hope it's like his LEGO Batman 2 design or better! Quote

It'll probably be his New 52 outfit. OK sounds like cold is a better character than freeze. is grodd in the rouges? Grodd is. And as for motivations Freeze is better. He got a tragic element to him and i like that more. Quote
Mr_KnowItAll_JD23 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Does anyone on this forum besides Hulk_Smash know any new information about next year's Lego DC Superheroes sets? Quote
TheBuoyWonder Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Does anyone on this forum besides Hulk_Smash know any new information about next year's Lego DC Superheroes sets? I believe there was at least one user who said they may be able to have access to a catalog. But we haven't heard anything back from them on that. So as of now it is just Hulk_Smash. Quote

DJ Bricks Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) Thanks bro. So Captain Cold has a parka?! Great!! That's awesome. Well Damian has a hood in the prelims, but has hair in the finals. So i think we shouldnt judge based on prelims. Edited September 1, 2014 by daniel gourhan22 Quote
K-Nut Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Well Damian has a hood in the prelims, but has hair in the finals. So i think we shouldnt judge based on prelims. True, but I doubt they'd go with a completely different design of the character. A different hood/hair is one thing, but there's a large difference between Classic and New 52 Captain Cold. Quote
Mr_KnowItAll_JD23 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 What month every year do we usually get official pictures of sets? Quote

TheStrategist Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 is grodd in the rouges? No, Grodd has never been in any of the various incarnations of the rogues. He was always a separate villain. He has even been an enemy of the rogues in some stories (New 52). What month every year do we usually get official pictures of sets? I think end of October. Quote
