Ezekiel2517 Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 game manta's helmet(neck) isnt right. Its probably so it fits over a head. Quote
deskp Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Its probably so it fits over a head. They could do it right and still fit very well. even if they needed the shape from the agme they should print it. Quote
Ashnflash Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I don't really care if he has a head under the mask I'm just glad we are getting Black Manta and hopefully classic Captain Cold with the gun based on Hulk_smash's description! Quote
rexusprime Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Why should we get a classic Cold? That doesn't make sense. All the other characters are probably new 52. Making Cold different because we like his classic appearance seems unrealistic. Quote
Steph 104th Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I agree, ice pieces for his hands would be much cooler than a freeze gun. Quote
Legoman123 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I just think overall classic cold looks better. I think the villain is too well known for us to get the 52 design anyway. Quote
BrickyNolan35 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Yeah 52 joker would creep kids out https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3674/9451553331_b2a10fdcba_z.jpg Quote
ZionAzure Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Angry fan boy rant. Angry angry. Look guys we are getting more villians. Be happy. No matter which version he is Quote

Numbuh1Nerd Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Why are people so upset by the New 52 Cold being the design? He's got useful parts for other figures, plus his torso will be pretty much the same as the classic Cold, so just give him sleeves and a new hood and it's the same guy! Quote
BrickG Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 New 52 honestly from a comic perspective mostly sucks. They handled the semi-reboot really poorly. Superman sucks now. Batman kind of sucks now. Wonder Woman is okay (arguably better than before). I stick with DC Lego through sheer nostalgia alone from like 90s good comics :P. Quote
Krulis Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) I din't get why people assume game version of Grodd is new 52 it looks nothing like it: Game: New 52: They look completly diffrent. Edited September 2, 2014 by Krulis Quote
K-Nut Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 The LEGO Grodd seems like it would be more akin to some of Grodd's classic appearances, much like Captain Cold apparently is. In the old continuity he was an ape enhanced by cybernetics; an origin which, AFAIK, may not have been adapted to the New 52 comics. Quote
Ezekiel2517 Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 Pretty sure Cap Cold is gonna have his classic look. like Doc Ock. That's probably the most famous interpretation. Quote
KCMatze Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I hope so, too! But I would not mind a new 52 fig either. Happy to get Flash rogues :) Quote
Mahtion Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Is that Flash the 52 version we may get in new sets? In reference to the Grodd image posted above. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) we already got 52 Flash, he's in the Riddler set. The LEGO Grodd seems like it would be more akin to some of Grodd's classic appearances, much like Captain Cold apparently is. In the old continuity he was an ape enhanced by cybernetics; an origin which, AFAIK, may not have been adapted to the New 52 comics. Tt Game said in an interview that if the didnt like the 52 version of a.charcter they were allowed to choose a more classic one (IE the MM in the game.) And there is a 50/50 shot at classic Cold, but i still think its 52 with his old gun. Edited September 2, 2014 by daniel gourhan22 Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Since when do we get Captain Cold and in which set? I seriously read this entire thread and it sounds more like someone randomly mentioned Captain Cold as a good villain possibility (because that´s totally a rumor and not a wishlist item) and then people discussed different pics of him and his outfit. Ashnflash Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 The LEGO Flash really doesn't look anything like the New 52 Flash with all the lighting bolts on his costume. Quote
Ezekiel2517 Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 (edited) ^yeah, he would need lines all over his body. like the new Batman figure. Plus boots. Edit: The LEGO Flash is from the New 52. His belt and his logo are different. The Flash in LEGO Batman 2 is the comic version. Still, he needs boots Edited September 3, 2014 by Ezekiel2517 Quote
DJ Bricks Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 (edited) The LEGO Flash really doesn't look anything like the New 52 Flash with all the lighting bolts on his costume. The lightning id from Speed Force. The lines are to depict plates in his armour since with the New 52, DC didnt want character to look like they were in spandex. And i like no lines on the figs, makes the look better. Edited September 3, 2014 by daniel gourhan22 Quote
TheStrategist Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 It was Captain Colds fault. He was fed up of the Rouges always being beaten by the flash, so he developed a machine that could give them the powers of the gadgets they use. However the machine didn't work out how they wanted it to, as a result, all the Rouges have powers ( except Trickster) but they come with side effects. Actually, the person who built the machine was Darwin Elias. He made a deal with Captain Cold and the Rogues to let them use his genome coding machine. Not that that is really that relevent to the current discussion. Quote

Ezekiel2517 Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) DOES IT MATTER?! WE ARE GETTING FREAKING CAPTAIN COLD! If you don't like the new 52 then just swap the hood. He still has his iconic glasses. And the evergreen Lego theme is a good sign that we'll see every DC hero and villain. I probably should mention that Reverse Flash has a complete different look in the New 52. That will start a riot. http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130911194209/marvel_dc/images/6/68/Flash_Vol_4_23.2_Reverse-Flash_Textless.jpg Edited September 4, 2014 by Ezekiel2517 Quote
